  1. You are right, But a Tamarind tree is very messy. I had one near my wife's sisters house which is the property next to us, and we had to cut it down. It made a mess with the leaves it dropped , and the seeds. and It was occupied by farmer ants, Amy time you walk under it, the ants freedived on you and AUCH!!
  2. Believe it or not , when activating your smile muscles it changes your brain chemistry, "When you smile, your brain releases tiny molecules called neuropeptides to help fight off stress. Then other neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and endorphins come into play too. The endorphins act as a mild pain reliever, whereas the serotonin is an antidepressant. " https://www.sclhealth.org/blog/2019/06/the-real-health-benefits-of-smiling-and-laughing/#:~:text=When you smile%2C your brain, the serotonin is an antidepressant. There is even evidence that faking a smile makes positive changes to your brain chemistry " when the participants simply mimicked a smile, they felt happier. Researchers say our brains look to our facial expressions to understand how we are feeling. Smiling tells our brains we are happy or feeling good. Scowling sends the message we're feeling bad." https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/faking-a-smile-could-make-you-feel-happier-study-stanford/#:~:text=After putting them through a,message we're feeling bad. 3. No No, It's your rugged good looks!! I have the same problem. maybe we can get together and form a support group .
  4. A smile is the best investment you can ever make. The returns go through the roof and the cost is negligible. Advice: any time you can do something that costs nothing and has great returns you should do it. In addition , aside from making others feel better, a smile changes your brain chemistry and makes you feel better. So a win win situation.
  5. The president is "overseeing" the persecution of trump? -Are you familiar with the three branches of the US goverment? "Legislative, executive, and judicial," -Do you know which branch the president belongs to? -Are familiar with the separation of power under the constitution? -Do you claim that the president is acting unconstitutional? -If so ,why are you not upset at the republicans who control the House, for not bringing up articles of impeachment and/or bringing the case to the Conservative at this time Supreme Court? -Do you know the role of a grand jury ? " to determine whether or not there is probable cause to believe that one or more persons committed a certain Federal offense within the venue of the district court." -Are you familiar how a Grand jury is formulated ? " Grand jurors are selected from the same pool of ordinary citizens who serve as trial jurors." -You do know that a Grand Jury recommended the indictment? You do know that there is always a president in the US, don't you? Under your theory , ex presidents are above the law and can never be prosecuted for any crime they commit, because there is sitting president that might be a potential rival. I await with bated breath for your answers.
  6. Another Thai inefficiency. Makes no sense!! If they asked me I would tell them to trained the ducks to fly to Australia and cook them there? But does anyone ask me? Noooo
  7. Same in Khon Kaen. In and out in five minutes.
  8. Direct Quote from the bible, book of pat's ,ex or otherwise. All ye who hath never done anything live threatening stupideth cast the first stone.
  9. I won't hold my breath. Well actually I might have to In all seriousness they need to deal with polluting vehicles, I see cars and trucks spewing black smoke every day. Back home they would not make it a mile before they are pulled over by the cops. Rather than cutting the weeds, the set them on fire, I see it all the time during the dry season, yet the cops don't see it. Setting the fields on fire. especially sugar cane. Burning garbage ,etc. They need to develop a viable garbage collection system. What are people supposed to do with their garbage? In our village we have, and the burning of garbage has decreased substantially, but some people are too lazy to put their garbage in bags and take it to the corner to be picked up once a week. The authorities are just paying lip service. And then there is the problem of neighboring countries, Air pollution does not stop at the border. So there needs to be regional cooperation.
  10. IMO , the US is a major cause of Nuclear proliferation. Gaddafi, did not have them and we all know what happen to him. Kim Jong Un has them and grows fat. Moral of the story, if you don't want to play ball with the US , you better get nuclear weapons. Otherwise you are toast. Dont think Iran has missed the point
  11. I don't understand what is so sad or confusing. I asked chat GPT the question asked in the OP. GPT scoured the internet and provided the above answer . I did not pretend that it was my answer and gave proper credit. Personally I thought it was a good answer and inline with the process in most countries .IMO it was neither sad nor confusing
  12. Ha Ha Ha. When ever we have a fight and she calls me stupid I always say to her "You married me and I am stupid?"????
  13. How do you know he was an Idiot? He did what Thai people do , and according to the article, because I was there as much as you. he had "Somsak said Thongphan was wearing a balaclava and climbed up a tree with a lit torch to smoke out the bees from the hive. "
  14. That the right kind of drugs could provide some relief . Who am I kidding there are no drugs strong enough Perhaps an exorcism could hel ????
  15. Then you are not doing the right kind of drugs. Which also explains a lot of the threads you start
  16. A man was killed in a tragic accident . Nothing funny about this IMO My condolences to his Family and friends.
  17. Not as easy as saying a couple oh hail Marys, saying spraying a bit of holly water and saying " I cast thy out demon" But what I posted in my previous post sounded like a pretty straight forward process. Make an application, prove that he is not around. make an attempt to warn him about the impending divorce proceedings in a Thai newspaper , a typicality because the farang does not even know the newspaper exists and even if he did, he could not read it. How much easier do you want it? Open the window and shout "I AM NO LONGER MARRIED"?
  18. This is information I got researching the issue on the internet, I never pursued the issue independently because I don't have any interest in retiring there. "The minimum investment amount is €500,000. With this amount, you can buy residential or commercial property in Spain. You need to invest at least €1,000,000 in purchasing shares of Spanish companies or investment fund units. To get a Golden Visa for buying government bonds, you must invest twice as much — €2,000,000. 19. Put the fluorescent light with your VHS tapes in a safe place , they might be worth something someday Replace it with a LED not only they have become very expensive but they will quickly pay for themselves from the reductions in your electric bill and their longevity. " Which is cheaper to run LED or fluorescent? Why choose LED and how much do I save? Using LED, you will save 62% in costs. An LED bulb will actually use 75% less energy on average compared to a standard fluorescent bulb. LED lighting can be more expensive initially when buying the bulbs, however, in the long run they will save you money "https://electriciancourses4u.co.uk/blog/led-vs-fluorescent/#:~:text=Why choose LED and how, they will save you money.
  20. Chat GPT answer "In Thailand, a Thai wife can seek a divorce if her farang husband abandons her and refuses to provide care and support. The process usually involves filing for divorce at the local district office or the Family Court. The wife needs to provide evidence of abandonment as well as a valid reason for seeking a divorce. If the husband is not present in Thailand and cannot be located, the court may order an announcement or publication to be made in a local newspaper in an attempt to notify him of the divorce proceedings. The wife may also need to gather additional evidence to support her claims, such as witnesses or other documentation. Once the court grants the divorce, the wife may be entitled to property or financial support from the husband, depending on the specific circumstances of the case. "
  21. Some of the place such as Spain, Portugal , Malta and Greece are particularly attractive to Britons since brexit for attaining a EU member passport and easy access to the EU community. For an real-estate investment for a certain amount depending on the country (Greece is 250k euros it is called the golden visa,) you get permanent residency and after 5 years in Greece you are eligible for citizenship and a Greek passport, in Malta is only 110 K Euro investment but there is a longer wait for citizenship. Spain is attractive to Britons because it is closer to the UK but their golden visa requires 2,000,000 euros investment, etc. As I said Portugal was attractive for many reasons and close to the UK but they are eliminating their golden visa option , I think the objection was that locals were being priced out of the market. Anyway food for thought as plan B to Thailand
  22. I see Portugal at #3 I remember reading that legislation has passed tat eliminates the golden visa program some time this year. If that's true they better hurry.
  23. Exactly. if he was not ineligible, how could he know that he was ineligible? It makes no sense.
  24. Cant understand why they would not just go home and do it.
