As I've said, if you have one of the major brands you will definitely be able to find the right battery for it. -

If the bike has any of the convential motors and batteries, i.e. Bosch, Shimano, Brose etc. finding the right battery won't be an issue. -
Any one doing the OMAD diet ( One Meal a Day )
pacovl46 replied to MrScratch's topic in I'm Too Fat Forum
I'd rather go for intermittent fasting of 10 and 14 hours in between meals because with just one meal you'll go hungry for a long time in between meals, which will cause your body to go into starvation mode, which means every single calorie that's not needed immediately will be converted to fat. Of course if you consume only 800 calories a day then that obviously won't happen, but that won't be healthy either. You're much better off eating three healthy meals a day, maybe two meals to start out, until you have the weight you want and then go up to three,. Eat lots of veggies, fruits and nuts and some meat and cut out all sugar, bread and pasta and do some weightlifting. You can start out lightweight and work you way up. Do this at least 3 times a week. If you just want to get ripped, but not gain massive amounts of muscles, look into calisthenics. They have easy exercises to statt out with. Good diet and exercise will definitrly drop the weight over time and it will not deprive your body of anything it needs like the starvation method will. It also won't affect your mood. Most people who have to starve themselves to get in shape for a competition like rock climbing or bodybuilding will tell you that it sucks because you're hungry all the time and it will get on your nerves and make you irritable! I had a little belly. Then I started going to a fitness center and worked out 5 times a week. After about 2 weeks I noticed that my belly started to slowly melt away, and I didn't even change my diet, it was just the exercise. By the way, cardio won't work to lose fat because cardio only depletes your blood sugar levels, which will get replenished with your next meal. -
There's a small furniture store in Central Bang Na. I don't remember the floor, but it was one of the higher up ones. If you get in from the main entrance, just stick to the right side of the atrium where all the escalators are. They sell high end furniture made to order. They can make you anything. I haven't been there in ages, but I think I've seen a couch in there. A friend of mine bought a rosewood dining table, a large sideboard and an opium table from them and the quality and craftsmanship are absolutely top notch. Not cheap, though. The opium table was 60000 Baht back in 2007 and the dining table cost 250000, but the top of fhat is completely covered with inlay work, hence the price and the sideboard was around 160000.

Shipping an E bike from UK to Thailand.
pacovl46 replied to Asquith Production's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
There are special containers for lithium batteries. A friend of mine has them for his RC cars and planes. That way he can safely store them in his garage. I'm not sure, if there's an option for e-bike batteries in that regard, too, but that's probably what it takes to get it shipped. Alternatively you might be able to sell the battery pack in Thailand and get a new one back home. I would just call DHL and ask them or send them ab email. -

Will pepper spray stop dog attacks
pacovl46 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Pepper spray will definitely work. But there’s something else you can try first. Dogs feed off your energy and they will need some energy coming back from you to uphold their aggression. If nothing comes from you they’ll stop. But this will only work, if you manage to stay calm and assertive. Having the pepper spray will give you the confidence you need because you’ll know you can stop them. From my personal experience the street dogs in Thailand are mostly bark and if you get loud and aggressive, you’ll give them the energy they’ll need to keep their own aggression going. If you get aggressive enough they’ll usually back off because it’s not worth the hassle. That’s what I used to do before I found out about the other way. Next time try this: As soon as they start barking and running towards you stop walking and make yourself as big and wide as you can, like you’re the king of the world, staying calm is extremely important, just look straight ahead, not directly at them and don’t move. The first time I tried that the main dog that came running at me hit the brakes, looked at me confused for a second, calmed his bark right down, turned around and then they all left because my body language told them without the slightest shadow of a doubt that I’m the top dog here. It’s similar to how an alpha wolf or alpha wild dog behaves when he comes back to the pack. He walks in like a boss, while the rest of the pack loses their fricking minds. Having said that, while this might work with street dogs in Thailand and a lot of other dogs, this might not work with extremely aggressive dogs and dominant dog species like pitbull, Rottweiler, Doberman, Cane Corso and the likes. So I’d definitely get pepper spray, just to be on the safe side. If you try it, let me know how it went. -
Typical! As soon as someone is critical of Israel you wave the anti-Semite flag. Newsflash: I’m an atheist. I don’t give one flying F about their religion or any other religion for that matter. They can believe in pink elephants for all I care. I have nothing against them because of their religious belief. I have something against their actions and the way they behave. That’s the one and only reason and therefore I’m not an anti-Semite! Having said that, you can keep your head in the sand and believe what you want, but there’s a reason why numerous countries, amongst them Spain, which is not an Islamic country and therefore doesn’t have an agenda against Israel like most of the Islamic countries do, have filed an official complaint with the International Court of Justice in The Hague for crimes of war committed by Israel! So there’s that….

I'm definitely not saying that Hamas is innocent, BUT Israel is equally as much to blame for what's going on down there and the world isn't ignoring it anymore as they used to. Israel is intentionally targeting kindergartens, schools and hospitals. That's genocide in my book. Israel is also VERY good at provoking the other side into attacking them because as long as Hamas commits these atrocities, Israel won't have to give up any of the land and Hamas is stupid enough to fall for it over and over again. Israel has literally become what Hitler was. The Gaza Strip is a concentration camp, minus the gas chambers and the crematoriums.

The impact of Temu on Thailand’s e-commerce market remains unclear

I'll never understand why people buy from Temu because given their prices the quality you'll get can only be of the lowest grade. -
Bringing a bike into Thailand as sports luggage
pacovl46 replied to B0nkers's topic in General Topics
If I remember correctly, when you move to Thailand you can take everything you own tax free with you, but you have to have it owned for at least a year. I don't understand why Canada wants tax for a bike when you don't live there anymore and will be there only for a vacation. -
Well, the big question is what stage it is? Since it has metastasized already, it's advanced and at least stage III, most likely stage IV. Obviously the doctor should've told her how long she's approximately got when she got the results. Without treatment she's got probably less than a year. She really needs to talk to the doctor!

The eastern part of Germany is notorious for its right wing tendencies. So this doesn't come as a surprise to me. Having said that, 70% dis not vote right wing and it's the majority that rules. So there's that...

I never said anything about respecting Trump. I've said, if you vote for him the last you'll get is respect from me.

Swiss man in Phuket acquitted of assaulting doctor
pacovl46 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
That's gotta be a joke. Either him or his wife filmed the ordeal, which was used as evidence, if I remember correctly! This reeks of tea money! -
Well, a lot of people I've talked to see it the same was as I do: It has absolutely nothing to with them being transgender. I don't care about what you want to identify as. It's your life and you should live it the way you see fit. But it's simply and obviously unfair to let a male to female transitioner compete against women, especially when that person went through male puberty and transitioned later in life. That person will have larger muscles, larger lungs, larger bodies, which will be a massive advantage, especially in swimming, and chances are, biological women won't stand a chance. How would you feel about Mike Tyson competing in female heavyweight boxing against a biological women??? Transversely, a female to male transitioner won't stand the slightest chance against a biological male. Just look at male and female tennis. Serenea Williams, who is number 1, said it herself, if she completed with the males, she'd be placed 200 at best because males are quicker, faster, harder hitting and it's a completely different game. Transgender people should compete in their own classes, if they can get enough if them together. That would make it fair.
