What a shambles! I can understand you being worried and angry. I have not had any problems with my pension administrator, but I have arranged for my children to have power of attorney for my wife so they can help her to get her pension when the time comes. The PoA is in my pension admin files.

Daughter has 3 (sometimes 4) different school uniforms every week. 2 or 3 of them have pleated skirts and blouses - all need ironing. My missus hasn't a clue how to iron a uniform, but I do.

IMO, she (maybe others too) was poorly represented by her lawyers and should have taken her case to trial by jury. I suspect that a jury of her peers would have acquitted her, for the same reasons that Jones was acquitted - her words were hyperbole and carried no real threat to anyone. Just reading through the comments here, and wondering what could be the reason that people have had different experiences. The OP daughter is 19 years of age (adult) at the time of applying for a UK passport. As far as I can tell from other posters comments, their kids were not adults at the time of application. Maybe this is why the OP daughter needs to gain UK citizenship before applying for a passport. I don't know - just guessing.

This story made me think about when my daughter went for her first bra fitting at M&S (it was a very long time ago - she's now 48 yrs) but my wife took her there because M&S were well known for having trained staff for the job, and it's really important that the bra is fitted properly. So, I just looked on the M&S website to see if they still have trained staff for the job ... they do!
