I have no experience of repossession, but my thoughts are ... Presumably, the car is now owned by the loan company. If the loan company is willing to sell the car to you, maybe it can be registered in your name. But they may want more than just the amount owing.

Seems that the village headman should be looking for better alternatives for his parishioners who need to dry their rice. But, it surprises me that a local man was not expecting to come across piles of rice in the road at the end of rice harvesting season.
