Your passport expires "next year", September 2026? So why did the IO tell you you needed a new one to renew 17 months beforehand? Edited as noted your intended renewal (extension?) is April 2026? What are your doing this year? Anyway, if you get the new passport before April 2026 then the extension will go in that - but it's not very clear what you actually have right now.

You are correct that you cannot get THB account details (a/c number, etc.) within Wise. But you can certainly hold any amount in THB, converting to THB from your main balance when the rate suits you. Thereafter any THB purchases on your card use the THB balance.

Indeed. The full test is easy but not without some special challenges. I did it last year. The theory test, multiple choice, ought to he a breeze. However, unlike many multiple choice exams there where there is only one correct answer, it is possible to face a question with 3 correct and 1 incorrect answer. After failing the first attempt the girl on duty told me yes, but you have to select the "most correct" answer. There are online training apps to teach you which is "correct", using logic will not be enough.
