    They are not issuing them at the moment, some idea to speed up immigration or something along those lines. Wherever you would have needed to use the number just leave it blank, they are aware of the current suspension.

    As her documents are uploaded for the application (either by herself or VFS) it ought not make any difference if it is the original or a scanned letter. Back in the old days when actual paper was submitted I/my wife did use prints from scanned documents without any problems.

    The non-O will be valid for entry for 3 months so anytime after February will be fine.

    If you would normally get a 30 day exempt entry you will get 45 instead until March next year.

    Correct. The document you have is your visa. Make sure you print it and take it with you.

    A tourist visa will give you a 60 day entry. You can then get an extension at an immigration office for 30 days.

    Well I have never travelled there with a female friend but have frequently brought one back with me after a night out and never had any issues, nor the need for any joiners fee/registration for that matter. It ain't like Vietnam, even though my new friends often were.
