  1. Can't say for sure but would guess it'll be on the appointment ticket same as for an extension appointment. In any event the info desk will point you in the right direction.
  2. I reckon I'd call them before trailing about the place. KLM Service Line +66 202 80 568
  3. He's done pretty well to only spend £100k in 3 years, and probably enjoyed every minute of it. And now he's getting his pension about £1k/month he can tighten his belt and live for the next 10 years on £2k+/month. There are many surviving on a lot less.
  4. A lot depends on what you benchmark is - if it's Bangkok or Pattaya then not a lot, if Kalasin then it will be a nice change. I was there last weekend and had a fine time, good food and enough places to have a drink in the evenings and a few things to do/look at daytime. It's a small city and I don't think people really go there other than on the way to somewhere else. It would be easy to go to Vang Vieng for a night or 2 but you wont have a passport so that might cause travel and hotel issues. I had a great time on Sunday night at the Hard Rock Cafe - it's kind of a Laos night with a lot of local music and dancing - nothing like I've experienced in and other HRC around the world, and the draught Beer Lao was cold and cheap! Download the "Loca" app and you can use it for taxis and QR payments, saves having to deal with millions of Kips.
  5. He is talking about applying in Thailand using one of the many agents that offer this service. Nothing fraudulent or false about it.
  6. Your Wise account is in which country?
  7. These finance people couldn't care less, they are simply trying to make it easy for their customers.
  8. You can easily make an appointment for that, might save you an hour or 2.
  9. It's not a bad excuse for a night out once every 10 years.
  10. When it says you are not eligible it really doesn't mean you, nobody is eligible to apply for an e-visa in Vietnam. But as said, unless you already have a lot of exempt entries then just turn up and you'll get 60 days. Bear in mind that if you fly in then you may be asked to show an onward ticket at check in.
  11. All you need to know is here; https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult (and btw, if you could apply online which you can't, you don't need a coded photo, you can take your own photo with your phone)
  12. Hopefully they will be better than the measures used by his tailor.
  13. So put the quickly needed amount in her account today.
  14. I have renewed twice and both times used bank statements. I can download my statement in Thai or English easily (Kasikorn), I imagine all banks offer this.
  15. The letter used to be given automatically with a new passport, but I think that has now ceased; You might also want to change the passport number associated with your phone. Personally I never bother with changing anything until actually necessary, i.e. when needing to do something at the bank.
  16. Just came from DMK. I am on á re-entry but gf is on exempt. 30 days.
  17. You don't pay at VFS, you complete the payment form with your card details and payment is taken in the UK. You need a complete copy of your passport, every page whether blank or not. You do not need copies of any Thai immigration documents unless you are using something for proof of residence. I did 3 appointment choices, this was for Bangkok.
  18. Smaller, balder, fatter, older.....we know what Thai ladies prefer.
  19. Made these the other day, random spuds from CP Fresh, blanched then twice fried in canola. Came out pretty well.
  20. So plenty of time to wait and see if that happens, and if not get the visa - takes 3 or 4 days max.
  21. Apply for it, the 60 day exempt has not been confirmed nor any credible date announced.
