  1. No personal experience but within a week it is suggested;
  2. You don't send your passport anywhere. You apply online. Might be a bit short of time now though.
  3. Are you 100% sure it wont work (besides contactless) when it arrives? From Barclays UK website; I’ve ordered a replacement card, do I need to do anything when it arrives? You don’t need to activate your new debit card when you receive it – it’ll be ready to use straightaway. If you want to make a contactless payment, you’ll need to do a chip-and-PIN transaction first.
  4. Many countries would physically cancel the old passport by cutting corners, hole-punching or stamping it as cancelled. If this is not the case for you then immigration will have no idea the old passport is cancelled/replaced when you depart and will just stamp you out, just don't show them the new passport. If you return you will of course have to re-start the visa/extension process but that would be the case anyway even if you transferred your current extension, unless you managed to renew it before you exit.
  5. Clearly "vfsglobpal" is never going to work but even corrected it seems out of date. Try here; https://visa.vfsglobal.com/tha/en/gbr/
  6. Yes, it's the first page of an actual application rather than just looking at the information pages, which as far as I can see do not mention the multiple entry option.
  7. Current advice in the UK, takes a while even if you pretend to be there (and TNT doesn't lose it once issued). https://www.gov.uk/government/news/allow-up-to-ten-weeks-to-apply-for-a-british-passport
  8. As mentioned on the US Embassy website, you may need a certified copy of your passport, depending upon the wishes of the Amphur in question. As for the choice of Amphur it can be anywhere, doesn't have to be where you live or come from. However, best check in advance that they are willing to marry aliens as in these times of COVID fear things are not always what they were.
  9. As with most things in Thailand the easiness is a variable dependent upon the location of the Amphur, the person you are speaking to, the phase of the moon, etc. However, it is not beyond most people to accomplish it. Best place to start is the website of the Embassy of your country, you will certainly have to interact with them to some degree so may as well start there. In case you are from USA, for example, try here; https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/
  10. Time to go home and get a new one, on the bright side it's springtime and the weather should be fine. The embassy could give you an ETD, Emergency Travel Document, but that is only good for travel after your passport expires, not for hanging around in Thailand waiting for a new one to arrive. Presumably you also have permission to stay issues as well?
  11. Unlikely but they will throw the book at him for the defamation. I'm surprised he had the time to write a negative farcebook review on the checkpoint.
  12. Did she actually try applying for a replacement/copy? As an example the first page of the WA application asks for your personal details including telephone Country Code and Country address. No suggestion of applications only welcome from Australians in Australia.
  13. Maybe this lot could help; https://www.shadowmakerasia.com/contact-us/
  14. Gov.UK says allow up to 11 weeks, likely it would be quicker than that but probably best not to plan any travels for that time.
  15. what a great song..... I kiss 'em and I love 'em 'cause to me they're all the same (short, long black hair) I hug 'em and I squeeze 'em I can't even remember my own name They call me the wonderer, yeah the wonderer
  16. EEA, Switzerland and others, some nice spots to choose from amongst them. Barbados Bermuda Bosnia-Herzegovina Gibraltar Guernsey the Isle of Man Israel Jamaica Jersey Kosovo Mauritius Montenegro North Macedonia the Philippines Serbia Turkey USA
  17. Hotel booking includes the transport (has to), from TP website; Paid AQ / SHA Extra+ hotel reservation confirmation for 1 day (Day 1), and the booking must include the fee for 1 RT-PCR test, 1 ATK self-test kit and airport transfer.
  18. Indeed correct. It is worth noting however that when they say "in person" what they actually mean is "by a person", i.e. not by mail. So the person can be anybody the applicant chooses and provides with the relevant authorisation; wife, friend, taxi driver or indeed the ever popular (on this forum anyway) "agent".
  19. BBC and Sky both reporting this as UK. Perhaps the other lot are a bit slow to update their websites.
