  1. Subject appears quite frequently, although less so in "health and medicine";
  2. The answer to that question is very clear.
  3. You don't have to travel anywhere to get a new passport. You can do it right now from Thailand if that is want you want. As for the "running around" surely relocating to a new country would be a far greater upheaval than a couple of trips to immigration once a year.
  4. Indeed in a branch that may well be the case. But phone or email them and in my experience you'll get a proper and accurate explanation, and remarkably quickly too (again only based on my few needs to contact them).
  5. - Is your card authorised for overseas/online payments? - Do you have any friends, just ask them to pay for you and reimburse them. - Do you have any family in the UK, they could also pay for you.
  6. Quite right, find the right one and you're set for life. I know for sure, I've had 3.
  7. It's being attended to, maybe.....
  8. Perhaps it was after the collision, not before or during?
  9. Kasikorn do one and claim "special" exchange rates with no 2.5% conversion charges. If you go to the website of whichever bank your gf got hers from I'm sure it's all on there.
  10. If you can't show 400k in the bank then you'll need 40k/month for the income option, not a total of 400k over the year.
  11. There are a number of threads on this subject recently, you will still need the 400k when you apply for it.
  12. You can get married in Bangkok if you want. There's no need or benefit to do it in her home town. Might save some time and hassle. I used a company who took care of everything including providing translations, witnesses, transport and anything else needed. All unnecessary but made life simple. Oh, and congratulations to you both!
  13. What would the advantage be in doing that from Pattaya?
  14. I sent 75kTHB from the UK yesterday. 10 seconds.
  15. Approx? It only needs to be there 2 months, so will it or not? If yes why the agent?
  16. I have used this service to extend tourist visa entries. In both cases VFS came back to me asking for additional information over and above what they list on the website. Chances are high that the same would happen with all the normal extra things asked for a marriage extension. Once pre-approved you then go to immigration where all the documents are checked again. Didn't have any issues there but a marriage extension is more involved but theoretically it's pre-approved so ought to be OK. The advantages are the pre-approval, confirmed appointment time and, at least at CW, you attend a quieter, less frenetic area on the 3rd floor away from the hordes below.
  17. That is what I did in another country, and what I would again. 9 times out of 10 her ongoing needs will be greater than your own.
  18. I think I'd be inclined to invest the THB 1131 and get the visa. Turing up based on these "posts" is not likely to get you very far.
  19. 17 years ago they had it just right.....
  20. No photo's required. You don't "apply" for it, just go to the immigration desk and they will stamp you in.
  21. So you can enter visa exempt, 60 days. During that time convert to a single non-O, 90 days, at immigration and in the last 30 days of that go back for a 12 month extension of stay. Alternatively, you can apply for a single non-O e-visa (retirement) whilst you are in Australia, that cuts out the conversion step. Either way you'll need 800k in the bank when you get the non-O.
