  1. Do you see a link at the Top left for K-Online Debit Card? I have it. Clicking it brings up the account. Under the balance it says See More and that will take you to the screen with the info about the card.
  2. I think the one million USD "investment" would be on top of the astronomical price you need to pay to get the visa in the first place. Although I guess of you are dumb enough to put in the million, another 20 grand is chump change
  3. Either get an agent, or start looking to near countries for a border run. I think Singapore is open to the fully vaxxed, and the PI is opening soon. Still have to do test and go when returning, but better than getting arrested, deported, and black-listed.
  4. The title of the thread should be "Predatory Pricing" as that is what it actually is.
  5. Only new apps suspended. People still arriving daily need the second test.
  6. I recently experienced a situation where a speedboat tout masqueraded as an employee of the parking area. She asked us where we were going, and then proceeded to lie to us about the ferry schedule. Told us that the noon ferry was no longer running. Conveniently, another speedboat tout happened along and had a boat available that we could take now. I knew it was a scam, but the wife and daughter were convinced the honorable Thai would not be lying. Once on the pier, we went and confirmed the noon ferry. Typical ripoff. Nothing will change.
  7. What is the meaning of this: 8. Then proceed directly by the approved airport transfer to the pre-arranged COVID-19 test centre Is there some option to go get a test and wait for the results without having to check into a hotel? Basement of the airport would be a great place to do 1 hour testing IMO.
  8. There are shortcuts, you just have to figure out where they are.
  9. Wait until the details come out, and you find that arrival after 1800 or some such means you get tested in the morning only and then have to stay another 24 hours minimum waiting for the results. That is exactly how the current "14 day" quarantine is actually 16! And probably at 3k per night!
  10. For the USA, i did not even submit a monthly statement. Simply a screenshot from my banking app with my name and balance visible.
  11. I hope you mean 3000 baht, because the price to apply for a tourist visa is only 100 bucks.
  12. Given the large number of other Asians here, especially Japanese and Koreans, Thai's should not be expecting a tip at all. I was at dinner tonight, had a 2000 baht Bill and asked my daughter about tipping. She said no need to tip.
  13. Yep. On October 1st 80% of Thais will become second-class citizens and not be allowed to eat in restaurants. If the gov't thinks there were protests before, wait until they see what happens if this is actually implemented.
  14. I experience this also. In my case one of the two sets of muscles in my throat stopped working. Doctor says likely caused by a micro-stroke at some point. Says this is often one of the only ways that you can know or tell that you had the event. As long as i chew my food to liquid, i can get it down. Starchy foods like lettuce and french fries are hard. Rice nearly impossible. If i do get a blockage, which rarely happens after nearly 15 years, most times the only way out is to throw it up and start over. happens most often when i get in a hurry. A normal meal might take me over an hour to eat, or less if i get bored with it and give up. Once had a small piece of almond from a dairy queen blizzard stuck for nearly a day. Often thought about learning to shove a chopstick down my throat like a plunger!
  15. In order to activate on a new phone, you must be present in Thailand. You have to be connected to a Thai Mobile Provider, and then use the ATM to activate the new phone. The App is associated with the IMEI of the phone, so simply restoring the program on the new phone will not work.
  16. I see some cards, and what appears to be a dart board also. Throw the book at them ???? Did they immediately give all in attendance an antigen test? Otherwise just more coulda, woulda, shoulda.
  17. First off, while you might get a refund from your Sandbox hotel, your insurance you were forced to buy will pay nothing unless you are actually sent to the hospital for having a positive test. If only sent to ASQ, it is all out of your pocket at inflated prices because they are almost all converted to Sandbox. Secondly, remember that it is not actually 14 days. If you arrive after 2PM, then that day does not count. And, you must spend 15 nights in ASQ. So in reality, you end up walking out on the 16th day after arrival (if after 2PM) as early as 6AM.
