ThaiBob's got it right ....................... just open your eyes and actually see when you are strolling around. NickJ has a very good local 7/11 too

I posted months ago (coach conundrum) and have watched in amazement at the huge sudden growth. Last night waiting in 3rd road waiting for friend the coach stream was continuous and almost nose to tail (about 2000 hrs). Maybe hundreds in about 45 minutes. Driving home dozens parked on Theppraya and any other available space. I have never quite experienced this in all my world travels in 40 years
It will be interesting to see what will be done when we suffocate under their volume

yes I agree - a most useful and seemingly unbiased summary. Thanks

pleased to read that it was NOT the MP gas station car wash as that has been my favoured one for years. As has been said not cheap for inside /outside but very good. I also buy a discounted book of 12 coupons (price slightly negotiable) which includes 2 under-car-washes. Currently for a CRv it's about B2000 for 10 coupons
They also cleaned my 2 very large Chinese rugs recently and did quite a good job

The aisles of Silly ?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isles_of_Scilly
Had a fascination with that place since I saw it on a gardening program - of all things - many years ago. The idea of being able to grow plants from the subtropics outdoors anywhere in the UK just tickled me in strange places. The plant life reminds me of New Zealand - green and attractive if not the same as the tropical species we take for granted here in central Thailand.
now THAT has made me giggle ................ delightful !

it was post #3 from n210mp that had me giggling so I have to ask .................. which islands were they then?

Our Na Jomtien beach front condos got winds from the west or south west every day in the afternoon from about 1.00pm onwards. Simply glorious sitting by the 7/F rooftop infinity pool - luxury condo with breezes still available at about B11m too !!

I had a Thai girlfriend in the UK she did not gamble ,my now wife has never gambled , a Thai girl who once worked for me spent every penny in the casino back in the UK ,i believe it is all mainly down to upbringing . i once lost 10 pounds gambling ,i was a broken man ,never again
I went to the Stardust (now just dust) in Las Vegas and spent 25 cents on a machine. Lost it, so stopped as I was on a losing streak. At least I can say I've gambled in Vegas.
me too, but I lost a whole $1 .................. never again, like you

I have found the several large shops on east side of Suk both north and south of Chaiyapruk most acceptable in this regard.

useful replies as I was always convinced these guys were paid to string the new lines but not paid to remove the old ones.

no thrills? how boring. Now if there's frills ............... sounds much better

but people may be going home from or indeed coming back to so a lot depends on other issues.

no question that northbound may be better or even worse than on the 15th but for sure southbound on the 12th will not improve nor worsen. The afternoon on the rainy 15th will be quite clear, despite the recorded haze & smog.
Eastbound might be OK in the mornings of most weekdays but most probably not. Westbound monitored on the 16th will have improved by the 19th
Hope this helps with your planning
You're welcome

Oscars on the beach in northern Ban Amphur offers great sunday roasts including home made soup at around B250. A regular for me and friends

I have been told to go to Western Union in Pattaya and collect transferred funds. I have the 2 required names and a reference number.
Not having used this service before what's the procedure please and where's the best office to go (I note there are several 'booths' listed)
Thanks

I think you may be right!!.. Emailed about 4hrs ago and heard nothing.. So will take your advice and call.. Thanks for taking the time to reply... Thanks again..??
If you have the all equipment to do the job I can do it.....seriously been doing all my own DIY for many many years but I,ve nothing here as far as tools/equipment etc.
not being negative but surely all that is needed are
- a tape measure,
- largish sharp scissors,
- a plumb-line (hand made using string and a weight)
- a pencil, soft brush for smoothing out air bubbles (a wide paint brush with very soft bristles will do)
- stepladders ideally but something to carry your weight
- a flat surface for pasting (a floor maybe?)
- and a cloth and water for cleaning up excess wallpaper paste
- ............... anything else I need?
I've had to recall all this as I am about to start on one condo wall.
By the way, where are the decent curtain shops that stock a good selection of wallpaper books? I specifically am looking for Regency striped.

In my opinion Friendship must take the biscuit
JT - how about a poll?

the situation definitely has worsened since I posted this 4 months ago. And it's not just the new tunnel roadworks.to blame. Here on the darkside coaches just park at night wherever and at their will. And as the other thread states small sois are smothered.
A major major problem and it's growing sadly.
Could TV (or any other organisation) be a conduit for comments to the Mayor or other local authorities? Any suggestions?

sensible advice & well noted - thanks
