  1. Why not give everybody supporting this muslims the free ticket to stay there where they are, and tell everybody not supporting this unmerciful religion to move north of this provinces in 14 days. Give them their freedom on their own premises. No support from Thailand, no support from other than themselves. Just wait a few months and see.

  2. Red tilapia is a not a species of tilapia, it is instead a name used for several different man-made tilapia variants that sport and attractive red colouration. These variants are the result of continuous selective breeding. Many farmers prefer to cultivate red tilapia since it is much sought after in certain markets. The case vith this letal outcomes vas i China. I do not remember the city, but a lot of people there got sick, and a few died from a bacterial disease traced back to this fish.

  3. How is it possible she can get a fair trial in Thailand ? The land of corruption. The land of corrupt justice ? The land where unfairness is the rule ? The land of people still waiting in their caves ? The land of people that do not want to familiarise with the rest of the world ? The land with several millions monks, hiding from criminal acts in their past. Millions of monks living on social security, from poor people. Millions of monks that really could work for the prosperity of Thailand and it`s citizens. I just ask ????

This determination of guilt without trial is definitely not politically motivated.

The trial comes after the decision by the NACC to indict her.

    That is the next stage.

If she is innocent of negligence, she should return after her shopping trip to clear her name.

She has the money to hire the best lawyers.

From the headline in the OP

    "Graft buster rules Yingluck guilty"

She will get a fair trail because everyone including her lawyers know these charges are not politically motivated.

How could they possibly be politically motivated when politics has been outlawed by the junta?

  4. Is it the Thai court, judicial system who shall punish this guy or is it the Royal Thai Police ? Somebody should think very carefully through this. The policeman did a crime, or in any civilised country it would be a criminal act. Why do so many foreigners think it is ok that the Thai police does crimes against him ? Do the accept if the Thai police does crimes against themselves ? Thailand has the potential to be a civilised country, why <deleted>..k it up like this. Sack the policeman and put him in jail for 3-5 years. That would help the Royal Thai Police`s image.

August 11 announced an extra holiday

BANGKOK; -- The National Council for Peace and Order has endorsed the proposal of the Tourism and Sports Ministry to announce August 11 as an extra holiday.

NCPO spokesman Col Winthai Suwaree said that at the meeting of the NCPO , a proposal to declare August 11 as an extra holiday was proposed by the Tourism and Sports Ministry with reason of promoting tourism as long holiday would encourage people to travel and that would boost economy.

    The proposal was later approved.

Under the ministry’s proposal this year’s celebration of the Mother’s Day on August 12, the 82 birthday anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen, will have up to four days off.

The ministry earlier agreed to the proposal of Tourism Authority of Thailand to make Aug 11 as an extra public holiday to give the declining tourism industry affected by martial laws and coups some help with a long-weekend celebration of the 82nd birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.

They reasoned that since the Queen’s birthday, Aug 12, falls on a Tuesday. By making Aug 11 an official holiday, the country would effectively get a four-day weekend.

But in Udon Thani the police are still enforcing curfew. Bars has to close at 24.00. Is this local curfew just some way for the local police to collect money, or is it really what the junta has ordered ? We wanted to stay in the bar a little bit longer. No problem, but we had to pay the loyal police officer some hundreds thb.

  6. The ministries of Labour, Commerce and Foreign Affairs will seek to have Thailand removed from the US blacklist of imports on garments, sugar cane, processed shrimp and fish, said Puntrik Smiti, deputy permanent secretary of the Labour Ministry.

They haven't been officially blacklisted yet have they?

They have, and it`s just what they deserve. Maybe this can help Thailand to change?

  7. "She said yesterday that a memorandum of understanding would be made with the private-sector groups representing those four industries for improvement in working conditions and a reduction in child labour." Why do they just want to reduce the child labour ??? This exploits the real problem in Thailand. They just want to reduce the child labour to please the EU and USA. They do not want to exterminate the child labour. Why ????? The Buddhism or the hunt for money ???

  8. It will never help the system if you are changing and reforming the bureaucracy, which you have been doing for decades already. Maybe you should get a visionary and tough leader that can see beyond the teachers needs. Maybe start thinking about the purpose of the school system ? Is it to pray to Buddha and the king every day, or is it to make the kids able to do something positive and good in their lives ????

  9. What is a policeman doing on the board of an airline in the first place? A genuine question.

I think that in Thailand you need to have a master degree of some sort or be a kind of general to get any important job. That is what Thailand suffer under. the eldest is always the wisest. The old man is always the leader. The oldest is always right. Problems ? No, this system has already worked fine for more than 2500 years.
