  1. It will not be easy compared to before. It will not be a simple border hop now. There will be covid 19 tests plus the requirement to be fully vaccinated and etc.
  2. There are several tick boxes on the form for the reasons and there is one that you can create yourself. I think what he meant was its relationship to the order allowing for 60 day covid extensions being needed. The letter from a embassy was required when immigration decided to do 30 day extension based upon a a clause of the immigration order that allowed them to be issued at the request of a embassy. I don't think order is tied to anything more that number of tourists able to enter the country. When immigration was ready to end the amnesty in 2020 the businesses affected by many people having to leave complained big time about it. It has improved somewhat but not enough to force a lot of people to leave and now due to the conflict in Ukraine there are more people stuck here.
  3. That is unknown at this time. I suspect not. This was recently posted in a long ongoing topic about on the main page of this forum. Notice Regarding Forms SSA-7161 and SSA-7162 Because of postal service interruptions around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Social Security Administration has suspended mailing these forms. As of February 1, 2022 this suspension is still in effect. SSA will not suspend your benefits if you have not completed and returned the forms in 2020 or 2021. SSA will resume mailing the forms at a later date when conditions have changed. Ongoing topic. https://aseannow.com/topic/1166558-us-ss-form-7162/ At this time all you can do is wait and see if you get a 7162 in the mail in June or July. If not received wait until about November for the SSA to announce something again.
  4. No need for anything from your bank. There are a few odd offices that will want the consular officers signature on it verified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA.
  5. This is the appointment page for Chaeng Wattana. https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/ImmigrationOfficeGovernmentComplexChaengWattanaRd@imm1division.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/
  6. Was it a single page form with Thai at the top English on the bottom half of the page that is a STM.2. Was it titled There is also a form
  7. Are you asking about appointments at immigration. There is a new nationwide system and each office has their own link to do the appointment. Which office will would be using?
  8. A copy of your passport is enough to prove you are from Ireland. That is what I would do. No need to go through the e visa application process and no need for 90 days of medical insurance.
  9. Yes you can but you have to be very careful not to go below 800k baht for 2 months before you apply for the extension and 3 months after the day you apply and then 400k for the rest of the year. Yes you can. But you will need to meet the requirements I wrote about above and keep the 400k baht in the bank to the day you apply using the 65k baht income option.
  10. From a earlier post in this topic. This the one that was on their site. https://www.a-plusservice.com/
  11. It is 15 days before the report date up to that day.
  12. Yes You should be able to apply for both extension prior to the end of September when the current order for them ends,
  13. What don't you understand? The non-o visa should of been issued by the embassy. If he is in the country already on a tourist visa immigration will not accept a application for one since it is not on their list of non immigrant visas they will issue.
  14. You cannot change non immigrant visa categories within the country. A TM87 form is only to apply for a visa if you entered the country visa exempt. You will change the reason for your extension from teaching to a extension based upon marriage to a Thai using a TM7 form to apply for a new extension.
  15. You will apply for the covid 19 extension at CW since you originally entered on a Tourist vsia. MTT only does them for visa exempt entries. No need for a letter from your embassy. You will complete a affidavit stating the reason for the extension. Everything else will be the same as the 30 day extension application plus a copy of the 30 day extension stamp.
  16. It should be 6 months since that is a rule done by the Immigration Bureau.
  17. Are you sure you are entering the captcha correctly. I get the same message if if is not correct. Try try changing the captcha to get a easier one by clicking this where you enter it.
  18. You will also need copies of both passports. Photo page of both of them. Copies of your visa, entry stamp, and current extension of stay in the old one. I think that is all that CW will require but some offices want a copy of every page that has a visa or stamp for Thailand on it. It will be done while you wait.
  19. Getting the police report before going to MTT saved him a lot of time. I think I have heard of Bangkok immigration wanting one before.
  20. Have you changed your address at the office where you will be reporting to? If you use the same address you gave the new office you should use that address to do the online report but they may reject it due not having any records of you reporting to that office. There is a good chance you will have to do a report in person before it will work online to the new office.
  21. Yes it is the same in the order allowing them for extensions based upon marriage. It has the same exact wording.
  22. 1. If you can get a letter from the Irish embassy to prove your 65k baht income it will be accepted to apply for the extension. No need to keep any money in the bank. 2. To use your Irish passport you would have to leave and re-enter the country using it and start all over again with a new non-o visa and extension of stay.
  23. But the immigration order allowing transfers into a Thai bank account states it does not have to be 12 months if it is the first one.
