  1. The land border crossing are closed at this time. Not sure how that would help him get a visa.
  2. You are mixing up covid 19 insurance and the medical insurance needed to apply for a OA visa. To apply for a new OA visa you need coverage for the entire year from the day you expect to enter the country. If less than a year you will only be stamped into the country to the day your insurance expires. For other types of visas and extensions of stays (re-entry permit) that only need the covid 19 insurance and immigration will stamp you in to the allowed entry from them.
  3. That is the amount now for the covid 19 insurance and the new requirements (October 2021) for OA visa includes covid 19. Source: https://longstay.tgia.org/guidelineoa
  4. That would seem to be logical. Not sure why they don't. But on the TM47 they send to you not all the fields are completed even if you completed them. And some on the TM47 are not shown on the site. Here is the one I did on the 4th of this month that was approved in about 7 hours.
  5. You need ask Hua Hin immigration when you go to get the 7 day extension and explain your situation. Take you wife with you to help you get the info you need. If you are applying for the non-o visa in the US you should ask about getting a multiple entry non-o visa that allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year from the day it issued. I can recall reports of the Thai embassy and official consulates issuing them.
  6. Best to call it insurance certificate than a health certificate. It appears that the that certificate would be accepted for the STV since it is enough for a new Non-OA visa application that requires coverage of $100,000 or 3 million baht of coverage that includes covid 19.
  7. Special Tourist Visa It allows a 90 day stay when entering the country and then two 90 day extensions.
  8. I was replying to on the assumption you had the 400k baht in the bank for 2 months. Either way you obtain the non-o visa you will still be on a 90 day stay. If you applied for it here the the 90 days would start from the day you apply for it after is approved. The one from a embassy would start from the day you arrive. If you got the non-o visa before entering the country you could possibley apply for the extension earlier than the 30 or 45 days the normally require by showing them a ticket out of the country. You also need to know when they start the 30 day under consideration period. I think Hua Hin starts the 30 days from the day you apply.
  9. He will need a letter from the school stating the date he will no longer be working for them. Then on or before that day he can apply for the one year extension based upon marriage after his current extension is canceled.
  10. I see no mention of how you would return from Vientiane. The bridge from Vientiane is closed for entries from Laos and if you did manage to enter you would have to do a 14 day quarantine in a AQ hotel.
  11. You must have 400k baht in a Thai bank on the day you apply for the non-o visa at immigration. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/6.FOR-PROVIDING-SUPPORT-TO-OR-BEING-A-DEPENDANT-OF-A-THAI-CITIZEN-SPOUSE-VISA-NON-O.pdf
  12. You should try this new site. Many people that could not do them before have used and it worked for them.
  13. You should summit another after correcting all the errors on your first one. I completed the ones with a asterick when I did my report and it was approved.
  14. You can complete a TM7 form to apply for a extension, pay the 1900 baht fee and be granted 7 days to leave the country to avoid a overstay and paying a 500 baht a day for it,
  15. Yes you can apply for a non-o visa and then a 1 year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai.
  16. Yes you would need it for both of you. You can select both Thai and Non Thai requirements here in the Thailand Pass site. https://tp.consular.go.th/en/plan
  17. Are you here now and prepared (financial proof and etc) to apply for your extension now? Many offices start the 30 day under consideration period on the day you apply. Which office will you be applying at?
  18. The return ticket should not be a problem when applying for a STV. I don't recall their being a return ticket being required when applying for a STV.
  19. To apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of Thai he will need to legitimize his parenthood since he is not married to his child's mother. See this topic. https://aseannow.com/topic/381917-how-to-gain-parental-rights-as-a-father/ He will need 400k baht in a Thai bank on the day he applies for the extension. Will he be living with the child and their mother. That makes a difference as to what documents are required.
