  1. You apply for visas in the UK on the e visa site. What is on there is what you need. When you select non-o for retirement on the site it takes you the non-o for family page. That shows the following under required documents. Source: https://thaievisa.go.th/non-immigrant-o
  2. Moved to the visas and immigration to other countries forum.
  3. Ignore that popup message since it really means nothing. You can select non-o on the insurance application and it will not affect getting the Thailand Pass. The Thai embassy in the UK has nothing to do with your Thailand Pass. The are approved here in Thailand.
  4. You do not need the Thailand Pass to leave the country. Only needed when entering the country.
  5. No only off topic it is also the wrong forum to post in.
  6. It would depend upon what your were doing. It is possible to get a work permit with a job title as a manager or general manager. Prohitied occupations are listed here. http://www.thailawonline.com/en/others/labour-law/forbidden-occupations-for-foreigners-jobs.html
  7. Actually it has been possible longer than that. A non-b visa and a extension of stay based upon a investment has been possible for more than a decade. It is not solely for a condo purchase. Click the links I posted earlier.
  8. You can change a tourist visa entry to a non-b visa based upon teaching at immigration. Requirements are here. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2-อาจารย์-รหัสB.pdf Then during the 30 days of the 90 day stay allowed by the non-b visa you could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon teaching.
  9. You cannot change you visa from a non-b to a non-o visa. You can change the reason for your extension of stay based upon working to retirement. You need a termination letter from your employer to cancel current extension so that you can apply for the extension based upon retirement. I can all be done on the same day. You will need 800k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months on the day you apply for the new extension or proof of 65k baht income.
  10. A extension of stay can be applied for based upon a investment of 10 million baht that can be a combination of condo ownership and money in a Thai bank. Info is here at number 5. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1890 Immigration will also issue a non-b visa for investment. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/14-เพื่อการลงทุนไม่ต่ำกว่า-10-ล้านบาท-รหัส-B.pdf
  11. Have they tried send a email to the address shown on this page. https://medium.com/thailand-pass/where-do-i-contact-for-thailand-pass-support-1636daadc180 It also states you can contact the embassy for help.
  12. The registration you have done is forever. If you mean doing the report online it is 15 days but that includes the report date. I did mine yesterday 2 weeks early (it was due on the 18). Chaeng Wattana does not enforce the 15 days before mailing requirement. I am aware of them doing approvals that they received 7 days before the report date that is really the official rule.
  13. That could be a problem if the 2nd job was a competitor of the company you were working for.
  14. That would not be the problem with the Test & Go.
  15. Not sure where they are getting their info from. I have seen no recent info since covid 19 closed the borders. He also stated consecutive non-o visas but that would be ones that the embassy issued and that would be back to back visa applications. But before covid I am aware of people that got them in Phnom Penh. Maybe he was thinking of multiple entry non-o visas. They were certainly incorrect about only getting them in Laos. The embassy Kuala Lumpur was issuing single entry non-o visa and the official consulates in Penang and Kota Bharu were issuing multiple entry visa as well single entry visas. Same for the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
  16. I was going by the last page after going through all steps on UK overseas passports page for Thailand. You start here. https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports This what it states on the last page. Source: https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult
  17. You can authorize somebody to do it for you. Same for picking up the new one.
  18. It has been changed to Chiang Rai now. Thanks for mentioning it. I don't any immigration office are open on weekends now. I can recall reports of the office in the city having limited hours and possibley not open everyday.
  19. The UK embassy has nothing to do with passports. The are done at the VFS visa office in Bangkok (or Chiang Mai). All the agent does is make sure your paper work for it is correct that have to send to them and they submit the application at VFS for you.
  20. There are 2 immigration offices Chiang Rai. The main office is in Mae Sai and there is one in the city of Chiang Rai. The one the city is not open everyday according to few post I have read. You should not need anything more than than a TM30 form completed by the owner of where you living. You may be asked for a copy of a rental agreement and signed copies of the owners house book and ID card.
  21. I have never heard of a embassy telling people to get a extension. Phnom Penh in the past has been reported as being easy to get a single entry non-o visa. For marriage to a Thai info is here. https://phnompenh.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/non-immigrant-o-visa-thai-family?page=5d73b14415e39c46f40076a1&menu=5d73b14415e39c46f40076a2 And for retirement. https://phnompenh.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/non-immigrant-o-visa-retirement?page=5d73b14415e39c46f40076a1&menu=5d73b14415e39c46f40076a2 It does not matter where you are arriving from when you enter Thailand the requirements will be the same. For Cambodia there no quarantine and is better that some other countries.
  22. My passport does not have my address on it. Some countries might have it but not all of them. As I wrote before he could put a friend's or family member's address on the Thailand Pass application.
  23. Nobody will ask to see proof of the 800k baht other than at a immigration office when applying for a extension and etc. But you have to remember you will be locked in with an agent for the next extension since you would be asked to prove the 800k baht was in the bank for 3 months after the extension is applied for and then 400k baht after that until the account is topped up to 800k baht for the next extension.
