  1. Get the inside of the roof lined with heavy duty plastic, a common repair. The real issue in general is that the overlap between tiles is too little, allowing water entry, in the UK the accepted overlap is 1/3 of the tile+
  2. In the future use the "Freeze" card option when not in use, then withdrawals cannot be made until instant "unfreeze" card, a great facility.
  3. As I mentioned before, I can partly agree with your comments, but really it's up to you where you live in the UK. There are still many great places....likewise there are certainly many parts of Thailand that aren't so good. Be it racism, poverty, boring area, too hot for some etc. Noting your comments about the UK, well to compare...living in Thailand, you have to pay annually immigration and that may increase, a overpriced cost to buy European style food products, corrupt police, worlds most dangerous roads etc etc Sorry but I think more people should look at the positives of the UK and Thailand and stop thinking about how it was! Thailand for many is great and so is the UK for some.
  4. Whilst not suggesting the UK is great, this description of life in the UK is rubbish. Of course there are cities etc full of immigrants, but you do not have to live there! My town area of Hayling Island Has it's quota of immigrants but they work and get on with life. It's clean and.services work fine A good choice of pubs at prices relatively unchanged over past years, a pint costs about £3.50 to £5. The weather has been great this year, obviously not like Thailand though The police never hassle you and are civil when spoken to. I think the issue with some returning for a visit is "rose tinted glasses and memories". Ike Thailand there is good and bad I do think though that despite huge price rises and coming taxation changes that I prefer Thailand.
  5. Buy a new universal remote control, a common issue with many makes.
  6. £19+- daily, check on a comparison web site. Rental cars by Booking.com
  7. Most Credit cards have the option of locking them when not in use, its a new valuable safety option. In addition most credit cards now also have the option of a two stage authentication for payments, via your registered Telephone number. (Not authenticated means payment not processed.) These options make a Credit card fairly bullet proof against illegal withdrawals.
  8. I find a user particularly a nuisance, is it possible to block someone? Thanks

  13. Read there info a stamp is not required, providing a recognised person / official signs it. Other posts have agreed. But up to you, pay a 1000 bath+-
  14. Signature FSA registration trustee number of mine Read the rules it will say a stamp is not necessary. Like I said I have signed hundreds at no cost to anyone, but of course you can pay someone if you wish. END!
  15. They are sent out as and when to persons mainly living abroad, to see you are still with us, note if you do not send back they will stop payment until received and would then backdated the payments outstanding. As a retired pension trustee I have signed countless of these for for colleagues, note it does not need a stamp etc, merely a recognised person to effect.
  16. I would suggest a full download copy of your files to another portable usb etc, the effect a reboot. It sounds like your hard drive is on the way out though.
  17. In 20 years flying two or three times a year, I have been asked. Last visit November 2024. Just saying, not trying to argue!
  18. In the UK you are given a mild sedative and a small amount of valium 20 minutes before. You know nothing and experience no pain etc
  19. I love how they blame the Brits! Let's forget the nutty Chinese, the neurotic French, the loonies from the USA, the Indians co share a girl and as for Russian refugees...enough said!
