Yup, I have also used Eva almost exclusively for over 20 years and never had this before so hopefully just a one off . Nonetheless Eva is not as good as it used to be since post covid they now charge for things that were previously free . Date changes and seat allocation for example. Other airlines also do this so just a sign of the times.

Sad to say , this reminds me of my Eva Air flight back to Thailand last year. Full of overweight mongers on their way to party in Pattaya. They just would not stay in their seats despite air hostesses asking nicely. I had a seat by the emegency exit for the legroom but the area in front of me turned into a meeting place. Never had this on Eva Air before but with BA no longer flying LHR to BKK the plane was completely full. Might try an alternative airline next trip or maybe I was just unlucky.

Apparently Visa On Arrival ( VOA ) is only for 15 days and applies to 31 countries : https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/visa-on-arrival What you should be getting / asking for is Visa Exemption , 60 days with possible 30 day extension https://washingtondc.thaiembassy.org/en/page/visaexempt-voajul2024 I guess the immigration officers at the airport know this and will not accidently ive you only 15 days.

Thailand switching to all online visa applications. What could possibly go wrong ? Glad I won't be one of the guinea pigs helping them to sort out the gremlins and get their ducks in a row. Be a lot of people bypassing this and going for VOA then sorting things out in country.

My first Thai wife and step daughter were the same. They told me that at school the teacher would give them a list of numbers to write down , moving from left to right. They then had to add them up as the moved along the line. They got lost. I showed them how to add up and subtract using columns . They were dumbfounded ! It was like magic. They then spent an hour giving each other larger and larger numbers to add up and getting correct answers. They were really pleased with themselves and it really gave thir self confidence a boost.
