Thanks.
I was planning to change the tyres, but my local shop never ordered them and i took a chance the rains would not arrive, they did not except in Buriram.
The tool box really needed the extra brace, now is it fine. and at least i always have a spare tube and some tools. But seeing how difficult the guy repairing my puncture made it look (removing the rear wheel and sprocket etc) i will always try and find someone to help.
I am just terrible off road, a CRF is the better bike for off road riding, but for me the CT was great and suited me, i was in no hurry, just relaxing.
No, this bike is for me alone, but yes you can but the foot pegs and rear seat.
Thanks for the answers.
It's very impressive that you did over 650km's in one day on the little CT125, long hours in the saddle.
The CT125 is way too small for me, I am thinking getting a Yamaha Tenere700 but are well aware that it can't go places you can on smaller bikes like the CT125 & CRF250/300, it's all about keeping the weight down. Not a very good off-roader myself either, haven't done it for ages.
I am also a Fuji shooter: XPro1 & X100T. The XPro1 sometimes produces JPEG's that makes angles sing but auto focus is a hit or miss.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this Chris, awesome photos as always.
A few questions, well you already answered one regarding why such a small bike for the very long trip; it can go anywhere where bigger bikes can't, understand low weight is king when doing serious off-roading.
I think you had a BMW GS1200 at some stage? I could imagine it will be way to big and heavy for such an undertaking. Assume the GS is sold?
How do you plan the routes you are going? I can understand you use Goggle maps but are you using a particular app?
Which camera are you using?
Thanks again for posting, I really enjoyed reading though it.

No I would never move to those countries, okay to visit, but Thailand is home.
Yes it isn't as it was before, is it anywhere?
Scam? What scams, I haven't been scammed here.
I don't have a problem getting a smile from most Thais, being polite and respectful helps in that regard.
The yearly visit to immigration isn't too bad, okay I have a marriage visa now because I couldn't get retirement last year and that was a pain in the <deleted> with the paperwork required but in the end I managed with only slightly higher blood pressure.
Considering living perhaps 4-5 month somewhere in southern EU when I retire and then winters in LOS. Spain/Portugal/Italy on the list to explore further when it happens.

If you want something with a bit of power you should go for one of the 650cc models.
The 350 & 500 have less power than the Forza300/350, the 500 is really old design and don't like to go much over 100km/h from what I can read about it. Don't know anything about the 350, very good looking but absolutely no power which is a shame.
Tried the IC650, sweet bike, I liked it.

I am thinking about getting the Yamaha tenere 700, will try one out soon.

I am considering the Honda NC750X. Does not look that cool or fun, but it seem convenient, from what I saw of youtube reviews. I will mainly use it to drive from Pattaya to Koh Samui and to do visa runs.
Yes it's quite a nice bike, very economical on fuel, engine bullet prof.
One expat here in Thailand have done over 220k km's on his DTC model, even been to Mount Everest base camp on it.

You should go and spend one month at each location, best way to judge.
There are pros and cons for both.
I live in Pattaya and are happy here, son goes in a very good school.

And you would trust this company ? After their fuel economy lies ? 555
Trust them? What does that have to do with it?
They hopefully learned a lesson from that one, how much were they fined for that; billions

In that case where are all the Hydrogen cars
That's spot on.
Volkswagen is going full bore on battery cars among many others.
They will open 6 gigafactories for partnered battery production aming at reducing cost.

I think they mainly do it in DK for getting cleaner air in the city areas.
Sure unless a country uses carbon-free energy, it don't really help in the bigger picture.
Solid state batteries are coming soon, very fast charging and long range, then EV's will become very interesting.
I had a go in my friends Tesla when in DK last year (well he was driving) and this thing can really go, boy it's fast, overtaking is just awesome, you are pushed hard against the seat when flooring it from 80km/h. He almost hit the car in front because he started to accelerate when still behind the car he wanted to overtake, 555, should had waited until pulled out in the other lane. No doubt he was showing off, ha-ha and almost ending up in a fender bender.

I can't stand listen to that <deleted>.
I guess it depends on where you live regarding to cost of an EV.
In Denmark they have more yearly tax on conventional petrol cars from this year, environmental tax they call so everyone is scrambling getting either hybrid/plug-in hybrid or a EV vehicle. Further you can buy a so called green card so you can charge your car as much you want fairly cheap (at home). I think they also lowered the tax on those cars so they are cheaper to buy, in Denmark the taxes on cars are totally crazy.
One guy here was more or less charging for free using his solar panels but that means you have to charge during daylights, won't suit everyone for sure.

imo foreigners will be required to be vaccinated if they want to remain in the country - pony up the $50 or go home..
IMO so no firm info?
I am sure you will survive the 50$ if that the case??
I want the vaccine as soon as possible.

Okay noted, the article don't mention which vaccine he got?
Likely the Chinese one.
Anyway I will get vaccinated as soon as I can, on a private hospital .

Hope the government will put a cap on how much the private hospitals can charge for the vaccines.
I also gladly pay 2000 baht per dose.
Not yet sure which one I will prefer; likely either the Pfizer-BioNTech or the Moderna?

Looks like a very off-road orientated bike, oil change every 1000km and oil/air filter as well, major strip down every 30.000km.
I would personally be more interested on the Yamaha T7 as an adventure bike but it all depends what you use it for off course.

Yes I would do it again for sure.
Working in oil offshore and earning good money I had a comfortable life here for many years but gone app 6 month per year for work (2 month on/off)
Sitting at a little cafe out at Jomtien beach today with my family, a nice breeze from the ocean, I thought to myself, man this is really nice. The check-bin was 510 bath; food for the 3 of us, I had a green ice tea, my son had ice-cream for desert!
Was 1 month in Denmark last year in August for sorting out getting back to Thailand after being stranded off-shore for 6 month!!
Okay it was really nice spending some time with my Thai/Danish daughter that is studying there and catch up with my family and friends but other than that not really much that I feel that I miss and I doubt very much that I live there again.
I would like to travel in EU for app 3 month a year when I eventually retire, maybe more, but Thailand will be home.
Surprised about the mainly positive answers and the voting in favor of: Would you do it again, Yes!
I stopped posting much here in TV because there are so many negative posters and I just can't be bothered anymore so this was a nice positive tread for a change.

220,000 is a really good price for so much bike. I wonder if we won't see a substantial price hike when the economy recovers.
No I don't think so.
They haven't dropped the prices on bikes/cars during the crises but good deals are around.
I was having a look at the Kawasaki Versys 1000, 100k discount.
Yamaha 900 tracer are also heavily discounted but only the non GT model, maybe they want to clear stock before the new Tracer comes out with a whole new engine.
I am very interested in the new 900 tracer GT but are afraid it will quite expensive, 1800$ more in the US over the old one.

I wonder how much the import duty will be in Sweden when he gets the car. Does Sweden just allow for any car to be imported and registered without safety inspections?
Those replicas can't drive so they are not cars as such but more like a piece of art, they are for show only, so you need a big garden or something like that.
I recall there was another Thai company that made replicas that could actually drive, so you choose which car you like and also engine size fitted. That company made cars for Hollywood, no need to smash a real Lamborghini up in a movie but just a copy at 1/10 of the price.

You are right They do.
I did a conversion to US gallons because as an American I cant get my head wrapped around litters. LOL,
The same thing with Meters and Feet, If you were to tell me a room was 12x16 ft, I would immediately have a mental picture, but if you were to tell me that a room was 3mX 5m I would get a blank look in my face even though I know a meter is about 3 ft
Well you better try getting your head around it since you will share your time between LOS & Greece.
As a side note, I also hope I can afford to share my time between two places like you do when I eventually retire. Seen a lot of expat getting feed up with it all if staying here full time.

And after paying the 300k will the mia noi get her husband? Or does he still have to stay with the first wife?
And does anybody ask him what he wants?
1: Hard to say, depends on the answer to question 2!
2: Hard to say, but I think I would get the hell out of Dodge city if I was him.
3: No, the lance corporal is not anybodies favorite at the movement and should sign up for some undercover work somewhere far away.

A more sporty Swift with 83HP, huh! my big bike got over 110hp, it's fairly sporty for a bike at around 200kg.
That Swift can't move swiftly even on a good day????
