I had same issue trying to get a visa into Myanmar. The government website said it was $50USD but when I clicked on their link it took me to a travel agency disguised as official. The price they wanted was $155USD. My credit card company declined the transaction as did my bank ATM. I called capital one and was advised that website has numerous complaints from their card users citing non-usable visas. I then contacted the Myanmar embassy to inform them and try to get legitimate visa but as of yet gotten no reply. This was 6 months ago so I guess they don't me to visit
Sent from my SM-J250F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
The official Myanmar government site for eVisa is http://www.evisa.moip.gov.mm

Arrival/Departure form is cancelled. You still need to fill up custom declaration form on arrival though.

Given that I'd be able to use the app ever after for other things, via WiFi
1) Is it possible to block my physical card only -- without blocking my entire account, so that I'll be able to continue using internet banking, buy tickets online, etc....
Yes, you can use internet banking. You will not be able to buy tickets online using your blocked debit card.
Account/Card Setting -> Cancel Debit/ATM card.

how to reduce the price for internet for dtac in this case? any special tariff that'll be enough to activate the app?
May be easier and cheaper to call the Kasikorn call center to suspend the card.

I'll have to use: a) mobile internet b) in roaming
on my thai sim-card? Is this the only way?
Yes, you will need to use Thai Sim-card carrying the number that you registered with Kasikon Bank on mobile internet and roaming.
Below is the how to apply guide from Kasikorn.

You can use K+ App to disable your Kasikorn debit card. You will need Thai Sim carrying the same number that you registered with Kasikorn Bank to access this K+ App for the first time. Once you log-in to K+ App, go to settings to allow Wifi access as well as to block debit card attached to your account.

Alipay, Wechat pay and Samsung Pay are the only cross border contact less payment systems in used in Thailand. Chinese tourists now a day just show QR codes on their phones and buys things without withdrawing cash from local ATMs.
If you have a Samsung phone, you can also try Samsung pay. Below link contains the list of the merchants that support Samsung pay.

I think he can buy foreign currency (Example : US$) from Exchange Booth like Super Rich using his Visa Credit Card. It will appear to the bank as normal transaction by Merchant instead of cash advance. Exchange booth method will give him foreign currency so he will need to change it back to Thai Baht again and hit with Forex spread twice. Unlike cash advance, he will enjoy grace period until the end of the billing cycle to payback the balance. Cash advances don't have a grace period, meaning interest begins accruing on the balance as soon as the transaction is completed.
https://uat.kasikornbank.com/en/promotion/Pages/Currency.aspx
If he has Kasikorn Creditcard, he can exchange to any currency at K-Exchange booths without fee and up to 45 days interest-free.

I think it depends on terms and conditions written on your rental agreement. For my apartment, I need to pay two months rent as a deposit plus the first month rent paid upfront before I could move in. Thus, three months rent is needed initially. I will get the two months rent deposit back at the end when I leave.

So you just called them and told them your bank account number and where you were going and that was it?
It's not blocked here, used it several times already. Just afraid they will eventually block it.
I never inform Kasikorn bank when I travel oversea. Used KBank debit card in oversea ATMs many times and never been blocked. It is like fraud protections does not apply to KBank Debit cards.

If the photo of the British flag shown in the poster was supplied by the British Embassy, it just goes to show how useless they are. The flag shown is a typical knock off of the British flag with the red cross printed in the wrong position.
It looks like an upside down Union Jack.

I don't think so any longer.
BUT
You can link your Rabbit card to a Line-Pay account and never need to top it up again ???? Look for the Rabbit Line-Pay app.
Be careful when you link your Rabbit card to Line-Pay, you may not be able to use it outside of BTS anymore. The reason being the balance from Rabbit card is moved from card internal storage to the cloud after linking to Line-pay. If the Rabbit card reader at McDonald is old and can only read the card internal storage, it sees zero balance and rejects the card. Only the newer Rabbit card readers that has online access to the cloud can accept the ones linked to Line-Pay. I made a mistake of keeping my luggage in a storage locker near BTS station which accepts Rabbit card. When I came back the next day to pickup my luggage, I can not open my locker anymore because it rejected my rabbit card due to not enough balance. My rabbit card is linked to Line-Pay which is then linked to the credit card so BTS can directly pull the fare from my credit card. However, older card readers can only deduct from card internal stored value balance so it mistakenly rejected my card as having not enough balance.

If you are in Thailand, you can call to Air Asia call center at +662 515 9999 (8am - 9pm) to resolve your problem. They have English speaking representatives. I understand you already tried calling them without success but may be worth a retry later at night.

Do they list all the flights AA has? My experience is they don't but I could be wrong.
Thanks
I just did the flight compare using both AA website and Expedia for the same departure date. I found Expedia list all AA flights for that date. You can try the same on the date you want to travel to confirm.

Majority of Burmese migrant workers in Bangkok get minimum pay (300 bahts/day) but they still managed to live in the city and at the same time save enough money to send back home monthly.

Yes it does - but you send dollars or Sterling instead of baht, in exactly the same way as you send money via PayPal.
I am surprised to know that Transferwise can be used to send currency outbound from Thailand to US. It will help me save a lot of money in outbound transfer fees if you could explain a little bit more on how it is done.

Thanks. I hope they have all the flights. I read that someone recommended Skyscanner but I couln't find the flights I wanted.
Recently, Traveloka stopped showing Air Asia flights on its sites.
However, Expedia is still listing Air Asia flights for reservation.
