Hit there, One month ago I decided to change to Tiger beer. Since then my weight has shot up by 5 kg's. As I'm 80 yo now I don't go to bars any more. Instead I've been drinking 2 large bottles of Tiger beer at home every evening. I walk 2 hours every morning and eat very basic steamed food but my weight appears to be out of control.

If I was re incarnated I'd like to come back as a Thai bar girls motor cycle seat. -
Hi there, I buy certain things from Lazada when needed and generally I find the service good. The problem I have is that when I log in I'm asked for my account validation by SMS. This doesn't work because I don't recognize the phone number shown. Consequently I can't validate my account or change my validation phone number to the correct one.

British Tourist Knocked Out by Pattaya Club Bouncer
Mason45 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
My UK brother in law once told me many of these types are former football hooligans and they get bombed on Thai whisky and forget their age and the fact that the mob they used hang with isn't there.- 246 replies

I just came across a site that appears similar to Skype by the name of Yolla. I typed in my Thai phone number and I received an activation code. Australia is one of the many countries that you can call. I haven't tried it yet but the call rates appear to be very competitive.
-
I've been using Skype for years, it was very handy and affordable to ring family, friends and banks in Australia. I've tried others but I must reside in Australia when the application is made. They even detected that I was using a VPN. So what now? Any affordable suggestion to call land lines in Australia?

Size is very important in Thailand, the size of your money and assets.

Backlash as Foreigners Give Monks a High-Speed Lift in Pattaya

Did Thai people pay entirely for the wat over the road from Fascino in Pattaya South Road. I think farangs via bar girls have been the major contributors over the years. -
Backlash as Foreigners Give Monks a High-Speed Lift in Pattaya
Mason45 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Where do I stand? I have 2 brother inlaws both are monks, reformed lao kaow alcoholics. They both reside at the same wat in a rural part of Korat. When I visit them I take them around in my car. If it's the wrong thing to do I don't care because after being married to my wife for 24 years I class both monks as personal friends. When we meet at the annual wat festival I shake their hands and put my arms around them. What people think is up to them, I say there's plenty of Thais I know that live in glass houses. Even most wat managent groups are on the take big time.- 65 replies

Fed-Up Bangkok Locals Demand Action on Rowdy Foreign Renters
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
They should pay a visit to my condo in Pattaya. The noise makers are mostly Thais, it appears that the grannies take care of their grand kids whilst their daughters are throwing it around in Walking St or even Soi 6. Thai kids are never get taught to be accountable so when they get to their teens they are totally out of control. Then the adults come home around 3 am and start slamming doors, yelling at each other and start throwing things. If I never owned my condo I would move on. I must add that all this has been going on post Covid. The people next door got their marching orders 2 months ago but returned to the same unit last week. It's only a 21 sq meters studio but at weekends 4-5 people stay there.- 102 replies

East Pattaya Faces Waste Woes: How the City is Reacting
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Many of these same people complaining about the waste dump should take a good look at the property where they reside. My wife comes from a large family and over the years I purchased 3 different properties. I've yet to see one property that's not dirty or untidy. Even when you buy a property from a Thai you're left to clean out all the <deleted> they leave. When I bought my town house in Bangkok, babies soiled diapers and used tampons were even left in a toilet bin. It may have been a rented property but surely the owner should clean out the property prior to sale. -
17 Dead in Bus Crash on Hillside Road in Prachinburi
Mason45 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Thailand News
After 3 near misses going up country on the all night buses I went out and bought a car. Even now if I take my wife to visit her family I leave home at day break. I refuse to drive long distance at night. -

Pattaya Bars Empty Amid Low Season and Shifting Tourism Trends
Mason45 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I first hit the Pattaya bar scene in 2000, granted at first it was a novelty. The girls then were a lot of fun and mingled with the patrons which in turn usually got them a good night out and some money in their pockets. Now they barely get off the ass as they are glued to their phones. If I owned a bar I would ban the girls using their phones during working hours. If they didn't like it I then I'd move them on. -

If Buddhism teaches peace and harmony why are Thai prisons overcrowded to the max. Many of the reported crimes in the Thai media are horrendous. Even the perps of these crimes are all devout Buddhists.

In Case You Missed it, the Tattoo Fad is Over

Pattaya Ramps Up Efforts to Tackle Homelessness and Crime
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
My wife is from Korat and she agrees with me all Isarn people should have an endorsement on their Thai ID's allowing them to live in Pattaya. If they fail to do that they get sent back to the area on there ID. Second offense a few months in the Pattaya college of knowledge. Many Isarn people consider Pattaya the place to make money but how many look for work when they get there. -
Pattaya Prepares for Silent Night: Alcohol Ban Hits Tourists
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Whether you drink or not you must admit there needs to be a designated tourist area in places such as Pattaya. The piss weak reason for the restrictions in Thailand has nothing to to do with Buddhism or Thai culture. The law was brought in because all those naughty Government workers go on the slops in their lunchtimes, The mind boggles with all these Thai brain farts. -
Pattaya's Pedestrian Perils: Crumbling Walkways and Traffic Chaos
Mason45 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I go for an early morning 90 minutes walk every day, The footpaths are a total disgrace, the quality of proper paving is totally ignored. Just take a look at the quality of paving outside of the recently constructed high rise resort hotels, Just prior to completing constructing the resort they get their workers to rip out all the old pavers and replace them with larger square pavers and install them properly. It's definitely obvious that the more qualified workers do the job properly. Another thing being married to a Thai lady for 22 years I soon learnt that Thais have a short cut for everything, even if it's unsafe they will go for it. Hence the deaths and serious injuries in Thailand.
