  1. Sorry. Mis quoted you there. I've had some posts deleted and couldbt work out what was happening. I mentioned pubs and enjoyment but can't find my posts now.
  2. I said nothing about pissing away money. I said having fun. If you would care to read my posts that followed you may have half a chance of keeping up and understanding the examples used.
  3. Well. Speaking from experience, I needed a copy of my work contract and work permit in order to get registered at Sam Pa Gorn. I also took a copy of my marriage certificate, my daughter's birth certificate and health/life insurance policies in order to obtain tax relief.
  4. My wife has had 2 visitor visas for UK. Both times she applied for a visa she did just that. No specifics about how many entries. Both times a Multi Entry was issued. I believe that is standard.
  5. The funny thing is, just one minute ago, the BBC changed the headline. They have added "expected to be". Slightly more accurate.
  6. Indeed. However, those examples were in reply to me asking how you deciphered the UK was bleak. Your examples show one town.
  7. You said " I'm in the UK, it's already bleak". A good example of your blanket generalisations of doom and gloom. To be accurate you should explain and say something like " my local high street looks bleak. Lots of changes since last time I saw it".
  8. Incorrect. You need a work permit to register at the tax office. The school are deducting but not paying the money to the revenue department When the OP becomes legal he needs to go to "Sam pay gorn" and register. Show them his past payslips so they can cross reference. If they have received nothing from the school, which they probably haven't, the OP needs to go to the school, give them his tax number and insist they forward pastbtax payments.
  9. The high streets where i am are doing ok. Not thriving but ok. With so many people shopping online, getting groceries delivered, banking online, working from home so not taking buses and businesses closing their retail outlets to go online it's not surprising things look a little different. Not sure what supermarkets you go to but try going early. With so many people happily shopping, the shelves do tend to deplete during the day. I recently needed to contact OVO energy. Queries all sorted in 10 minutes. I suggest you switch. Don't touch SSE or Virgin (for internet). I'd gave to put those into the awful category. I applied to become a bus driver in our local area. They put me on a waiting list due to lack of vacancies.
  10. Please elaborate. Tell us what you saw. What you experienced. What made things look so bleak.
  11. Like I said, accused, investigated, found guilty, sacked. Anything else you speak of is unsubstantiated, as we can see with your use of "might", "presumably" and "perhaps". Time to appoint a replacement and move on.
  12. He was sacked for breaking ministerial code. He was found guilty of that this morning.
  13. Nice to see things done in the correct manner. Accused, investigated, found guilty, sacked. Just like any other walk of life. Innocent until proved guilty. Good to see the investigation was done quickly. Time to move on.
  14. Along with the mini budget, Covid and the Ukraine War. I now understand why the poster linked to the final 4 minutes. ????????
  15. Interesting when you look at retail prices of uncooked chicken.
  16. Interesting. You say "data". The 4 minutes of video your link directs us to only has opinions. Surely, with no facts or data to support them, those opinions are unsubstantiated.
  17. OK. So you are saying you don't have an opinion on what would be deemed a low wage? How strange.
  18. You must be paying "Farang" prices. Chicken breast is cheaper than leg. Thais love to eat meat near the bone. The most expensive part of the chicken is the 3 joint wing.
  19. It is truly hysterical that anything you believe to be unsubstantiated, simply didn't happen. Always good for a laugh.
  20. Not at all. However, holding discussions with those who can form their own opinion, speak from experiences, hypothesise and generally come to their own conclusions is more educational and far more interesting. Those with such qualities are those who have the abilities to complie the data and publish the facts that you need to link to. Shame some don't process the ability to do as such.
  21. Actually, I was asking someone's opinion. Some of us can have a conversation without using links.
  22. No. "THEM" can be used in place of "him" or "her" if one is unsure as to which to use.
  23. Maybe so but Thais have to apply in person in any country. Including their own.
  24. You just can't stop yourself, can you? ????????????
