If they did, we would be hearing a lot more about refused applications. -
uk visit visa for Thai sister in law - 2023
puchooay replied to sythai26's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
I would think your wife's application had other faults. My wife's first application stated own business and land as reasons to return. All other parts of her application were watertight. Application approved. -
Did you read the title? @smoo1954 I have used that border in the past but not since Covid. It has always been straight forward. Stamp out of Thailand, avoid the toats at the Cambodian side, get a Cambodian visa (1500 baht last time I went, evisa not accepted), go to next desk to get stamped in to Cambodia. Cross over to the exit side. Probably have to pay 300 baht to leave same day as there is a rule you need to stay 24 hours in Cambodia. Just pay it. They usually have your passport in their hands anyway and hold it to ransom.

@Nayet Will you have the 400k in the near future? If so, when? These are questions you should address before moving forward, for your own convenience. The advice above is spot on but you need to find the option that suits you. If you can get the money imminently, go to immigration and get a 60 days extension based on marriage. This gives you the time to season the money for a one year extension. If you are way off and in no position to get to the 400k any time soon, your only option for a long stay is a Multi Entry O from Savanbakhet. Laos.

I would comment on how, with the exception of a couple of "to let" signs, the high streets I've seen are busy. I wouldn't say booming per se but doing well. Of course, a lot of people shop online these days so there is bound to be a knock on effect. Dozens of Prime, DPD and DHL vans on the roads around the area. However, I can't back that up with a link so some won't believe. Never mind. I know what I've seen.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak fined for not wearing seatbelt in back of car
puchooay replied to webfact's topic in World News
He made a small mistake. Held his hands up, paid the fine. Let's move on. It's not a criminal record. His wife has Non Dom status so no need to go down that route either. If there is to be a deeper investigation into accidental law breaking, tax avoidance and general mischievous behaviour, let have it across the board including the opposition MPs too. Wouldn't want to elect a party with members who have been erroneous now, would we???? -
The article in the Independent is about supporting for Clarkeson. He'll be back. Plenty of other channels that will realise he's a money spinner. Wouldn't be surprised if Amazon Uturn. A couple of great dvd/music/video shops in our high street. Usually quite busy. Doing alot of new Vinyl business. Clothes shops, coffee shops, shoe shops, bargain shops, furniture shops, opinions, phone shops, gaming shops, a great market every Wednesday and, yes, a few charity shops. Lots to see in our town.

Let's face it, the rules regarding applying for a full licence have been in effect for many years. Sure, some tweaks have been made but the end result has generally been the same. Anyone who is on the end of a 3rd waiver has had 6 years to get sorted. Rather foolish to wait until 3 months from unemployment to make your move.

Positions besides teacher in government schools
puchooay replied to pickledpapaya's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
I would think the OP is asking about lesser positions to avoid the need for waiver or licence. -
Unless you are going to shop at the village shop, you'll be using cashless in the not too distant future. Manned checkouts will be phased out too. The price paid for embracing modern technology.
-
Go to the Chevy dealer. Not much money to be saved by going elsewhere.
-
Not so long from now you will likely have no choice. Self checkouts will be the only options as will cashless payments. May as well go with the flow now.

You have made a comment based solely on personal experience when you have continually refused to accept others. You also made a comment, on another topic, based on personal experiences while shopping to make an assumption where as when another poster did the same you refused to accept it. However, you are perfectly entitled to use those experiences and I believe they make a valid arguement. Therefore, in future, you too should accept others experiences as true, valid and acceptable. We can't be having one rule for one and one for another now, can we?
