OK. I appreciate the clarification. I happen to be a centrist democrat and I detest progressive policy and PC nonsense. It makes me happy to see a republican making that distinction, it's not all too common these days.

Let's not forget, or leave out the details. 17 of his businesses have failed in the past few decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle, Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!), Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O. Promises made but never kept: Every voter needs to be reminded of Trump's promises last time he was running: There is very little that comes out of Donald's mouth that is the truth..... He promised to cut the deficit. He added $8T. He promised to build a wall. He only did 458 miles out of 2,000. Most of it was repair or replacement, not new. He promised to make Mexico pay. They didn't. We did. He promised to unveil a new healthcare plan. It didn't exist. He promised a middle-class tax cut. He cut taxes for the rich. The middle class is paying for it. He said he wouldn't play golf as President. He made 250 visits (way more than Obama) to his own golf clubs. It cost taxpayers $150 million. He said he'd increase economic growth by 4%. Nope. Biden did. He promised an infrastructure plan. He had none. President Biden signed a massive one. He promised to hire "the best people." He fired 3/4 of them and then said they were the worst ever, and they said HE was in fact the worst ever. He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs. He didn't: Biden did. He promised a Hillary lock-up. Nope Promised we'd win the trade war with China. Nope, It cost about 250,000 jobs and hurt Americans, not help them. He promised his corporate tax cuts would help and benefit Workers, and corporations would use that money to invest in American workers. They didn't, they used that money to buy back stocks. He promised to revive the coal industry. Never happened: more coal jobs were lost during his presidency.

Yes, we democrats abhor the truth, we love lies, we also enjoy drinking the blood of babies in pizza parlor basements, most of us are communist, and we are all unpatriotic. We hate our country, and are really really bad people.

Watching him melt down has been so much fun. He is utterly desperate now. He is flailing and Harris has got his number. Running against an intelligent woman of color is his kryptonite. If Trump and Vance went home, locked themselves up, and did not say anything, or appear again until the election, they would have a better chance of winning. Otherwise, they shoot themselves in the foot daily, as they are both horrendously poor candidates and campaigners. And Vance really needs to avoid donut shops, and Trump really needs do avoid all contact with the military. They despise him, for many good reasons. As it stands now, I do not see them getting elected, thankfully. Anyone but Trump.

Meghan Markle’s Regrets and Isolation After Royal Exit
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
She and Harry are a train wreck. They possess so little in the way of dignity or grace. There is alot to complain about with the British royal family, but the way they have gone about it is rather dreadful. My heart does not bleed for them. -
Such hubris was involved in both the Afghan and Iraqi wars. So many mistakes. Such astonishing ignorance. History never served the fools who made these decisions, and got hundreds of thousands killed, broke so many promises and ended up abandoning the people who put their lives on the line. And the US continues to abandon its injured soldiers, on a daily basis, with the horrific VA failures. The neocons should have been charged and imprisoned, or put to death.

At nearly 20 years we have settled into the delightful stage. Every day with her is a good day. She is funny, loving, affectionate, charming, always has my back, is smart, a great cook and a wonderful partner. And she just does not have off days. I got very lucky with her.

Harris-Walz southern Georgia bus tour highly successful
spidermike007 replied to Gecko123's topic in Political Soapbox
I lived in California during the time she was district attorney in San Francisco and attorney general in California, and I disagreed with a lot of her policies. I thought that a lot of her tough crime policies were grossly unfair, and I had a lot of issues with her. I also question how effective she was as vice president, though an argument could easily be made that very few vice presidents accomplish all that much. Having said all that, I will take anyone but Trump. So I'm happy to support her and I'm happy to vote for her, unless somebody else is selected, which looks very doubtful. I do have to give her credit, she has picked up the ball and run with it very quickly, and she has caught Trump completely off guard with his pants down around his ankles. It is really fun to watch him panicking. -
This is a man who feels tremendous anxiety, very low self-esteem, and is very insecure. He feels the constant need to build himself up, to build up the crowd size, to build up the size of everything surrounding him, to make himself look like a bigger. Most psychologist would agree that this comes from very deep-seated inadequacies. Sizeness, hugeness, everything in his life has always been exaggerated. Frankly I think people are just getting tired of it, his schtick is getting very old. So is he. I hate it, I really hate it. I was planning on running against Biden, and I had a really good game plan, and then he just went about out like an incredibly gracious man, and Harris really took up the baton and ran with it like nobody expected. It just doesn't seem right, it just doesn't seem fair. I'm trailing in nearly all the polls now, very few people seem to be listening to me anymore, I can't seem to attract a good crowd anymore, everybody's making fun of me, I picked a terrible VP choice, he is flailing too, and everything seems to be going wrong. Even Fox is telling the truth about me. It's just not fair, don't they know who I am? Don't they know how great I am? Don't they know that I am the most incredible human being on the planet? Don't they realize I'm the smartest guy in America? Don't they know how handsome I am? I'm am so confused, flustered, unhappy and bitter.

Experts Say Another Thai Military Coup is Unlikely
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Correct. Remember, all the moral authority that condoned past coups is gone, baby, gone. The army does not have the guts to wage war against their people, Burmese style. It won't happen. The Thai army does not have the guts for it, and the Thai soldiers, and the families of the soldiers would never tolerate their sons murdering innocent Thais. The moms would say "you murder one Thai, and you are never welcome in our family home again. Listen to me. Do not do this". And you would have massive army defections. Who will fight at that point? Not the cowardly generals? They would flee into exile with their billions, and the army might collapse, or give up, at that point. One of the fundamental differences, is the Thai soldiers are not facing the level of desperation the young Burmese are. The poverty here is not as grinding as it is in Burma. I do not think it could be sustained, if the fools started it. Thailand is a very different culture than Burma, on a dozen significant levels. And the youth now, are very different people than they were during past coups, which were violent. and were supported with a sort of moral authority, which is gone now. -
If a dog bites people twice, it should be put down. If it kills someone it should be taken out within 24 hours and the family who owns the dog should serve time in jail and be heavily fined. There should be a zero tolerance policy for wild, out of control beasts and their ridiculous owners. There is no room for them in this world. None.

When Thai 'gangsters' move in next door...
spidermike007 replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Bob wakes up every morning and it does seem like the purpose of his day is to keep us amused, so keep it up Bob. Fun stuff, day after day. And just today we find out he's not only rich, but he's also a road warrior, and a savoir of a abused women. Wow. Very impressed. -
Closer to 3 or 4 million voters. And that may likely be the election. See ya, Big Donnie!

My heart goes out to you, as a supporter of Trump. Must be a tough time. And contrary to what you think, it will only get worse. Both he and Vance are melting down before our eyes. They are both awful campaigners.

The Death penalty your opinion
spidermike007 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The average 30 year wait for execution in the US cost the state millions of dollars. That is completely unnecessary. Just get it done. Within 30 days. -
The Death penalty your opinion
spidermike007 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I love the idea of the death penalty. I think there are circumstances where the crime, or crimes were so horrific, no trial should be required, and there should be a mandatory death penalty carried out within 30 days. Just be off with the cretin. An old school panel of three judges, or something to that effect. If there is enough evidence, eye witnesses, or sufficient forensic proof, why should the state, the people, and the families have to be made to suffer? I truly believe there are lines in life, that when stepped over, create a self revocation of the right to consume oxygen. So, why allow monsters to continue to live? The prisons are already quite full. Why burden society by having to take care of a worthless inmate? Bring back the death penalty, but do it in such a way that is happens swiftly, and without the possibility of appeal. Assuming there are eye witnesses and positive proof of a heinous crime. The current problem with the death penalty in the US is the appeals process. It needs to be carried out swiftly. And without mercy. -
Get used to saying it. It is going to happen.
