  1. It was a good interview and showed a candidate who can maintain a train of thought, was coherent, and has a positive vision, which are important qualities for a president.
  2. His attacks are all he has. There is almost a complete absence of policy and vision. And the few policies he does have, like the crazy, weird tariffs are a tax hike on the American consumer, which nobody needs. They are cascading toward a stunning defeat, and they are unable to adapt, pivot, or offer anything in the way of a positive message. So, they keep moaning, groaning, whining and harping like bitter teenage boys who have been denied. Failed strategy, by failed men. People don't want to hear it anymore, and his low rally attendance is testament to that. Boring.
  3. I guess I don't understand this kind of thing. It takes a special kind of desperado to pay that kind of money for a meet and greet of a porn star.
  4. If you're willing to bother to read history they did postpone it, however they did not postpone it long enough.
  5. Did you see the video of that donut shop visit? I assume that was intended to generate positive PR. It ended up being one of the most awkward and uncomfortable two minute videos I've ever seen. Vance literally does not know how to behave like a normal human being, he is that scripted, he is that manufactured, he is that fake and phony. He is easily the worst VP pick since Dan Quayle.
  6. Sounds like sour grapes to me, when your candidate is only able to raise 130 million, and Harris in the same period is able to raise over 500 million. Sorry, but she simply a lot more popular. Either that or people are just getting tired of whining, groaning, moaning, name calling and complaining from a 78 year old man that's behaving like a petulant and bitter 13 year old boy.
  7. I'm not not necessarily an advocate of vigilante justice, but sometimes when the system is not working and when nobody will take responsibility, action must be taken, even if it's outside the system. That teacher needed a beat down.
  8. In most countries of the world foreigners can buy land and homes, the Thais are up in arms over the possibility that foreigners can buy property here. The world is coming to an end, the Chinese are taking over, we are unable to control things anymore. If you want to blame anyone blame your own government, and if you want to fault your own government, do something about it and make sure that the Army is unable to control successive administrations in the future. If you don't resist you are complicit.
  9. Ethics and the Shinawatra clan? Totally oxymoronic, even here in Thailand. They don't work well in the same sentence. The old guy sold his soul, his party and his people for freedom. That is the polar opposite of courage and righteous behavior.
  10. Thank you. Trump rarely acts in the best interests of the people he pretends to represent.
  11. Harley has always been an inferior product, coasting on its reputation and loyalty amongst certain hikers seeking prestige. When I lived in the LA, I used to go on these bike rides with a large groups of guys, and there were always quite a few bikes by the side of the road broken down, and inevitably 99% of them were Harleys. I also had a group of friends who liked to go riding, but their idea of a ride was to go into town and park their Harley on the street in front of a Cafe, where they could just sit there all afternoon watching people admiring their bikes. That is not biking. Some of us prefered to take our superbikes up into the mountains and spend the day screaming through the canyons, that was a lot more fun.
  12. Grandparents are afforded too much say, and too much responsibility for kids here and they often fail. They are not parents. This teacher creep should be in prison.
  13. She is playing it smart. She is way ahead in the polls, and both Trump and Vance are flaming out, melting down, and shooting themselves in the foot daily. Both are poor candidates and both are making alot of mistakes. It is her election to lose. Especially after she humiliates Trump in the debate.
  14. What a lot of Trump supporters don't seem to understand is that he had an opportunity to negotiate directly with the Afghan government, and instead he sidetracked them and decided to negotiate directly with the Taliban. That was treasonous. And that was a very poor decision, which flew in the face of his pretending to have respect for the Armed Forces. His disparaging of John McCain is one of many examples. There is a reason why so many in the armed forces, along with their leadership, dislike and mistrust him. He is a coward and a pretender. Arlington is just another blatant example of his extreme lack of sincerity. It was a photo op, that failed miserably. Trump negotiated the withdrawal. Biden should have postponed it long enough to get out all the translators we promised loyalty to, in addition to most of the billions in equipment and supplies. They both failed, on that count.
  15. The unelected Burmese Army is getting their butt's kicked, and is doing everything in their power to keep the world from finding out how bad things are for them. Hopefully, they will soon lose their grip on power. The Thailand leadership does not seem to care much about the people of Burma. They lend their army support, if it is convenient.
  16. Pepper spray, and then an aluminum baseball bat would be a far more appropriate tool for dealing with an out of control beast.
  17. It barely matters whether it's a minor bite or a major bite, whether the dog hurts you a little bit, or kills you. It doesn't matter, that dog needs to be put down and it needs to be put down quickly. If not by the government, then by the community. Dogs can be lovely beasts, but only bleeding hearts will insist that they're more important than people.
  18. Well I think that a lot of people would agree that we're looking at the weakest generation in the history of mankind. PC has run amok, and it is taking society down, we are no longer moving forward as a civilization we are most definitely moving backwards, and we are no longer evolving as a species. Personally, I despise PC. And social justice authoritarianism. I think it represents alot of what is wrong with contemporary culture, and especially America today. It is a major form of weakness, when you allow yourself to be easily offended, and take everything personally. Granted, there are things that can be perceived as offensive, but allowing yourself to be offended by tiny little things people say and do is a bit much! But, the people who are offended daily, by things others say, are just weak, and would benefit by growing thicker skin. Life can be rough and caustic at times, and for those of us who have grown thick skin, it is like water off a ducks back. No big deal, at all. Think what you want to think. It just does not mean anything to those with self esteem, and a sense of who and what they are. Granted, these are just my opinions, and some will take offense to them. LOL. The US is by far the most tolerant country in the world when it comes to the whole trans, non-binary, amorosexual, decide whatever you want today, if it fits mentality. No other country is as loose, driftless, and as silly as the US. The notion that political correctness has “gone mad” is familiar to anyone who follows even vaguely any aspect of modern political or cultural life. The phrase, ostensibly referring to language or action that is designed to avoid offence or harm to protected groups, has become a sharp criticism. It is synonymous with a sort of cultural McCarthyism, usually committed by the left. https://www.economist.com/open-future/2018/09/10/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far A Rasmussen poll found that 71 percent of Americans think political correctness is a problem today. When is being politically correct more about civility and politeness? When when does it veer into censorship? When is it justified? When is it not justified? https://www.jacksonville.com/opinion/2016-09-30/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far University of Connecticut officials sent out a campus-wide email advising its students that the school would provide counseling sessions in response to political commentator and Harvard Law alum Ben Shapiro’s slated speaking event at the university. The ironic part is that the counseling sessions were offered before Shapiro even stepped foot on campus. When I was in law school, Bill Clinton came and spoke. While I wasn't traumatized, I wonder whether the administration would have provided counselors for all the women in attendance. https://clclt.com/charlotte/pc-culture-10-times-its-gone-too-far/Content?oid=16059883
  19. Nope. It is because it is broken and morally compromised.
  20. The Supreme Court is in drastic need of reform, lifetime appointments do not work any longer, there should be a mandatory retirement age, and a variety of other reforms that need to take place. The Supreme Court as it stands right now is a completely broken and highly compromised Institution.
  21. His plan for increasing tariffs are an absolute economic abomination. I understand the desire to bring manufacturing back to the US, but you can't penalize American companies that are operating in China, and the plan would make more sense if you gave them a realistic window within which they could relocate manufacturing. The secondary aspect of this is that there's a reason why a lot of manufacturing is not being done in the US, the costs are prohibitive, and the unions are very difficult to deal with. Just another unrealistic Trump proposal that would not only sabotage the economy, but would penalize Americans and add to economic deterioration and unemployment.
  22. This dog needs to be put down immediately, anytime a dog bites more than one person it should be immediately exterminated. If the owner cannot control the dog society should, and this relates to both private pets and soi dogs.
  23. This is a brilliant development. They shut down the morally bankrupt Supreme Court! Wonderful. Hopefully he faces the piper.
  24. We used to have a huge problem with ants, if I would leave something on the counter for 5 minutes it would be invaded by thousands of ants crawling all over the floor, all over the walls, it was horrible. We also had a problem with flying insects and other creepy crawlers. I am not a fan of insects at all, I detest most of them. My woman suggested we hire a exterminator, though I was against the idea, I finally gave in. It was one of the smartest things we've ever done here. They come every 3 months, they spray the entire outside of the house, and they do a minimal amount of spraying indoors, and I have not seen a crawling insect in the house for a few years now! It's such a pleasure, and was so worth it.
  25. I think a community associated justice system is a fantastic idea as long as it works, and as long as the community is able to hold people responsible for their actions. Many times crimes fall through the cracks, many times perpetrators get away with serious crimes, and if the community then takes it into their own hands to punish the perpetrator, this can be very beneficial. I know this is not the intent of the article but I'm just saying.
