I was planning on running against Biden, and I had a really good game plan, and then he just went about out like an incredibly gracious man, and Harris really took up the baton and ran with it like nobody expected. Well I do believe quite strongly that it's very difficult to have an intelligent conversation about illegal immigration, without discussing the need for reform, and the need to update legal immigration. The system is broken and there are reasons why the system is broken, however a lot of that kind of well informed discussion seems to get lost on the podcast mob. Once illegal immigration is reduced to a mere meme, it becomes quite unintelligible.

I agree, but that statement completely ignores the purpose of this thread, which is to respect people who have opposing views politically. I would never call a MAGA supporter a fascist. I have often called Trump a fascist, I wouldn't doubt if Vance was a fascist, but the supporters are just normal people who have a different point of view. I really think it's best if we don't stoop to Trump's level, and we maintain some civility when discussing politics.

I completely agree as many on this forum know, I'm fairly merciless when it comes to Trump and Vance, but rarely am I critical of his supporters. I do not have issues with conservatives, I understand why they want to vote for him, I understand that many of the issues they have are different than mine. And that is totally valid. Some of my best friends and some very close family members are conservatives, we have dialogues, and when we discuss politics it is done with mutual affection and respect. Often times when I'm speaking to somebody about politics and we've never spoken before on that subject I'll start off by saying there's one thing you need to know about me, I consider every Democrat at the national level to be a $35 street whore, and I consider every Republican at the national level to be a $40 street whore. That is exactly correct, neither the US, nor Thailand, nor many other countries could get by without cheap immigrant labor, some of its legal, some of it's illegal. The other aspect of this argument that nobody wants to talk about is the legal immigration system and how broken it is and the need to reform a 70-year-old quota system which is completely outdated. A guy from India studies at MIT, graduates at the top of his class in nuclear physics, and can't get a visa to work in the US because of the broken quota system. That is stupid and bizarre. Yet, few want to speak of it, or address it.

For me one of the biggest issues was that I found women close to my age range to be obstinate, stubborn, generally more closed-minded, very set in their ways, and a bit more conventional and conservative in their lifestyle. Considerably less fun overall. But that is just me.

Something that very few people, not even the media seems to be interested in talking about, is the probability that Trump started this current inflationary cycle with his nonsensical China tariffs, which were essentially taxes on the American People, and pushed up prices on many products and food. The other thing that Trump supporters do not like to address, is the fact that we saw historic and generational gouging on the part of greedy corporations and even smaller businesses, during and after covid. This has nothing to do with Biden. But you are quick to blame him.

Finally we agree on something. I do think that very liberal policies in the California political arena has had a very detrimental effect on the state, there is no doubt about that. However I saw absolutely no difference under Trump, the only real difference I saw was a lot of people dying from covid due to his astonishing ignorance. And the very near possibility of all the gorgeous parkland being turned into industrial waste sites, through his environmental degradation policies. Fortunately, Biden reversed all that retrograde nonsense on day one.

Well in my particular case my woman is a couple of decades younger than I am. But I figured out very early in life that I preferred younger women. I tried women my age, I even tried some that were older, and it just didn't work for a dozen good reasons. But, that's just me.
