  1. The recent events are worthy of a mass funeral. Thailand might have been the tiger of SE Asia a decade or so ago, having been the 22nd largest economy in the world, but those days are long gone. So, I would say it would be safe to refer to Thailand as an up and coming country, post Covid. I would not be surprised to see Thailand in 75th place in terms of GDP, 20 years from now. There is absolutely no doubt the nation is moving backwards, on at least a dozen levels. And unless a dynamic leader like Thanathorn or Pita is allowed to lead, the great tiger will continue to devolve into a whiny little alley cat, begging for scraps. Go ahead and stick with regressive conservative policies, resist change and progress at all costs, and run your nation into the ground.

And unless a dynamic leader like Thanathorn or Pita comes along, as is allowed to lead, the great tiger will continue to devolve into a whiny little street cat. 3. So why does Thailand want to join BRICS? There’s probably a good deal of their governments playing up for their local audience. Thitinan Pongsudhirak, someone always worth listening to, argued that this “hasty and misguided move” was intended for domestic consumption, mainly because Srettha has a litany of unfulfilled promises: No progress on joining the OECD No Schengen visa-free deal No real progress on a trade deal with the European Union And major pushback on his government’s “digital wallet” and “Land Bridge” schemes. “BRICS is thus played to domestic audiences as a deliverable achievement,” Thitinan argued.
  4. It would sure be fun to see an illegitimate PM, who was installed as a puppet in exchange for a deal to allow Thaksin to return to Thailand and not have to go to jail, impeached. That would be some sort of universal justice. And it might give the Thai people some hope, after the election was stolen from the man who they enthusiastically elected. He is the future hope of Thailand, Mr. Pita. Not Srettha. He is the do nothing PM.
  5. He is scared of Harris. No doubt. He hates smart and accomplished women. But he will pretend otherwise. He is the great pretender. And he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for many of us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing - not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever.
  6. Correct. He was considered an absolute joke around the world. And the 43rd worst president ever. Here is what Trump has done for America!: Only 13 Presidents failed to get re-elected. Only 5 Presidents failed to win the popular vote. Only 4 Presidents have been impeached or resigned. Only 1 President has ever been criminally indicted. And only ONE President has done ALL FOUR. - DJT didn't lower taxes (He deferred them) - He didn't get Americans that healthcare coverage - He did not unite the USA, he divided it - He didn't lower prescription drug prices - He didn't get roads or bridges built He didn't decrease the deficit - He didn't end the opioid crisis - He made over 250 visits to his golf clubs costing us taxpayers $150 million - He didn't revive the coal industry - He didn't make covid-19 'disappear' He didn't make Mexico pay for the wall He is ranked the worst President in history He added $2 Billion a month in tariff costs to the American consumer He has a net-negative jobs creations for his administration He decreased corporate taxes, passing the tax burden to the workers He added $ 7.8 Trillion to the deficit - a full 25% of the total deficit He incited an insurrection against our government He is the only president to never achieve 50% approval. He didn't put "America first" and he sure didn't "Drain the Swamp... He left office with the worst job numbers of any President since the Great Depression with a net job loss over his term He is the first former president to be a CONVICTED FELON (34 times). The presidency is very much about character. Trump is a lowlife convicted felon.
  7. Perhaps you have not been doing enough reading? Her father was from Jamaica. Not sure what you would label that. So what if they embraced their Indian ethnicity and culture? You have an issue with that?
  8. How much more can they possibly be deceived?
  9. Who are these people, and why such moral depravity? If law enforcement does not do it's job, perhaps the citizens can?
  10. Regardless of the circumstances, if the dogs badly maul or kill a person, they need to be immediately put to death, no excuses. And I would go so far as fine the owners of the dog minimum of 1 million baht.
  11. Or coming from someone who is not buying the hype, tripe, nonsense and fake bravado.
  12. He won by the lowest margin and favorability rating of any republican in Ohio.
  13. No doubt, both parties are broken. America is broken. And it is in rapid decline. For me, that is scary. Though they have made many mistakes with foreign policy, the US has been a reasonably good superpower and world leader. Can one even imagine China or Russia taking its place? That is a scary thought. China does not possess one nanogram of belevolence. And Russia? Gangland central. Yikes.
  14. I do agree with that. But, not just America. Gen Z is a very scary group of folks. I can't imagine 20 years from now, when they are in positions of leadership and influence. I do consider them to be the weakest generation in the history of mankind.
  15. This makes him one of the greatest charlatans of all time. And that is his greatest strength. Getting his followers to buy the nonsense and drink the kool-aid. He is a genius. As a huckster and scam artist. Otherwise, he is plagued with that low IQ of around 88.
  16. I doubt it. He picked wrong. Very, very wrong. He is as inarticulate as Trump. And he has as much charm and charisma as a frog. Notice when he makes a joke, nobody laughs except him? He is a huge negative for the ticket. And Trump did not need another negative. By now, they realize the mistake they made. The Dems outplayed them. He is already trying to walk back his inane statement about people choosing not to have babies being less worthy. And saying that abortion should not be allowed even in cases of rape. Just raise your rapists child. A real man of compassion. That is not going to play well with alot of women. Vance is a true lightweight, he is man of ignorance and he is trying to impersonate a man of faith.
  17. That was a possibility before. Not now. Everything has come together very well and too many dems have jumped on the train. She is going all the way. The longer Don waits, the more cowardly he appears. Which is what he really is. Afraid. Very afraid. Panic stricken, a very old 78, incoherent, semi senile and frail.
  18. The ultimate deception. An outsider. Not part of the establishment. One of us. Oh, I forgot he is a billionaire. And he dislikes people who are not very rich.
  19. Many of my friends who plan to vote for him refer to him as a degenerate, a liar and a thief. They know who he is. But, they like some of his positions. They say it is not about the man, it is about the issues.
  20. Alot of my conservative friends admit what a subpar human being he is, yet they support some of his positions. Some have said they will vote for him, but they will hold their noses in disgust.
  21. He stands to lose alot of his women supporters, if he goes off on her and becomes highly disrespectful, which he seems unable to resist. It is just who he is.
  22. It is quite surprising how well the dems organized, and how quickly this all came together, after Biden gracefully bowed out. It seems to have taken Trump and the GOP off guard. Then again, Trump has never been very good at thinking on his feet. He lacks creativity, and shoots himself in the foot, when he goes off script. This is the beginning of the end for him. I predict a second election loss, and we all know that would crush him, and eliminate his toxic family from future politics. And the planet would celebrate such an event, with glee.
  23. He certainly capitulated to Putin in his first term. He was Putin's lapdog. Same applies to Kim and MBS. He seems to adore despots, and he seems to deplore democracy. That is just who he is.
  24. He is petrified of her. She has really gotten under his skin, already. Without even trying. He does not do well against smart and accomplished women. He hates that type of woman. She would cream him in a debate. Hope it will happen and hope he musters up the courage for it. Right now, he appears to be a real coward. Which is not surprising.
  25. Yes.
