  1. There are likely psychiatrists that specialize in dealing with patients who took loans from sharks that charge 200% monthly interestn. Anyone agreeing to a loan like this has got to have their head examined or has got to be an extreme desperado.
  2. Who is more ridiculous in this equation the silly monk or the stupid mother?
  3. Darwin said that we need certain skills in order to survive and thrive in this world. Obviously this man did not have any of those skills. What kind of simpleton smokes a cigarette while filling up a gas tank? Who is this guy, is is he just stupid or is this a case of someone being incredibly cavalier and nonchalant? If so he's certainly paid a price for it. If he survives those burns will be a reminder of his stupidity everyday for the rest of his life.
  4. A Russian person that I know told me that for a fact very very few Russians earning over $60,000 a year are NOT involved in crime. I wonder if the same applies to the Burmese, how many wealthy Burmese that are earning their money legally, are buying condos here in Thailand?
  5. I sure hope you're right, I dislike Trump passionately, I just think Biden's too old. Doesn't mean I don't think he's a decent man and it doesn't mean that I don't think he's had some good policy, but he's too old for the job. So is Trump, by a decade.
  6. The army put him in power, does anybody really expect him to stand up to them? He's their puppet, he is their crony. We know how incredibly corrupt the army is, we know countless amounts of money is being stolen every year. Go ahead Sretta, deny truth and justice with every ounce of your being. That's just who you are.
  7. Don't get tough with corrupt RTP, don't get tough with corrupt immigration agents, and customs agents, don't get tough with Highway Patrol who absolutely refuse to patrol the highway, don't get tough with corrupt officials in the army or in the administration. Save all your ire for those evil foreigners.
  8. I would be utterly shocked if he had 3 generals and one colonel behind him. Most seem to despise and distrust him. He hates the military and they hate him back. 5 deferrments when his nation asked him to serve did not help. Neither did 5 major bankruptcies. The military men like someone who takes responsibility seriously. He doesn't.
  9. There are some desperados out there that are really starving for attention.
  10. Yes, 185 kilos. It is time to go on a diet!
  11. Not to mention the recent incidents with navy ships shooting at each other. Oh my God guys, look it's a Burmese ship, they finally invaded. So that's why we are in existence. We all wondered. Oh wait, no I think that's a Vietnamese flag isn't it? We are surrounded by hostiles! We need subs!
  12. I wish I could have some faith in the noble intentions that you believe Trump will engage in. I consider him to be as bad as the deep state, and I do not think that there's a snowball's chance in hell that he will clean the swamp. He will simply repopulate it with 16 ft crocodiles.
  13. I absolutely despise hindsight. With a vengeance.
  14. With the current economy being very sluggish, and the government's inability to do anything to remedy that situation, it seems as if they're becoming more and more dependent on tourism, as much as they hate to admit it. However one tends to sense a pretty high level of desperation these days. Since Thailand is already the center of the universe, there's really no need to make it any sort of hub.
  15. The RTP does not exactly have a sterling record when it comes to investigating itself. These guys know that they're above the law and I don't expect the joke to be convicted, though I'm quite sure of his guilt. When it comes to the RTP I think that it's always fair to say guilty by association, and guilty until proven innocent.
  16. Would anybody like to venture a guess as to what the age of this ferry was? I'm guessing 70 years old. Thailand has a lot of ancient ferries, that are still in use and I can't imagine that the inspection, nor the maintenance procedures are all that stringent.
  17. It doesn't sound like a fall to me, it sounds like suicide, certainly what he did was incredibly reckless, but it sounds like the guy was trying to kill himself. Why are they giving us a description of what the other guy was wearing, what does that mean, and why is that relevant?
  18. Anutin is a complete imbecile, I actually thought his support for legalization was a good thing a few years back, but the reality is that billions have been invested and now they want to change the ground rules. It's completely ridiculous, walking this back is not the answer. I wish it was his money that was on the line.
  19. This was a very unfortunate accident but the reality is that a lot of Thai homes and a lot of Thai bathrooms have this ridiculously slippery tile that has no place in a home or a bathroom. It is very easy to slip on it, if it's the slightest bit wet, and all it takes is hitting your head in the right spot as you fall and you're done, you are dead as a doornail. I remember years ago a friend of mine was at work, a friend of his went to the bathroom walked up to the urinal, finished his business turned around slipped on the tile and died on the spot. The guy was 26 years old, he fell and hit his head on just the right spot and it was all over. It does not take much.
  20. Sure, and you walk up to them and you say this is my property would you mind getting up and not blocking the sidewalk? Very simple, very easy, there's no reason for a big confrontation. But we know that this guy's an arrogant head case and he deserves whatever comes his way as far as I'm concerned and as we all know by now it wasn't even private property, it was just him defending his version of a tiny empire.
  21. I dated several very successful women back in the US, back in the day and though a few were delightful and lovely, the biggest issue I had is that they were married to their work, it was very difficult for them to take a break, to take time off, and go on a vacation, and they were very set in their ways and very stubborn. Some were fun to hang out with, but for me not relationship material. Too many challenges, and too difficult. I decided long ago that being with an intellectual equal has way more downside than upside.
  22. Well I think you are misunderstanding the situation, she's the one who keeps on putting herself back in the spotlight, she's the one who put herself in the spotlight to begin with. That alone must be stressful, but claiming PTSD? That's total nonsense and it's a insult to the men and women around the world whose who suffer from real PTSD, have been shot at, having been severely injured, raped, maimed and otherwise injured or molested. Please, this is getting to be silly. I have sympathy for her and this never should have happened, but she does seem to be a bit of a drama queen. I have nothing but respect and affection for the Thai people, government officials are a different story, the police are a different story, but the Thai people I have no issues with them at all. So stop lumping us all into one intolerant kettle.
  23. It doesn't matter, I've walked down the beach a thousand times and seen places to sit, and never even considered whether or not it was private property. If you're talking about sitting down for 5 minutes to take a break who cares? It just doesn't matter. It's not like she was all sprawled out on his lounge chairs, she was just sitting on a step.
  24. I think Fehr is an absolute idiot, and I think there's nothing about what he did that was right, but it doesn't appear that he kicked her very hard, and PTSD from a light kick in the back is a bit much. Is she a drama queen, is she milking this? Something's going on here that's not quite right. I have sympathy for her but it feels like mankind is getting weaker by the day. What would this current generation do if a real tragedy struck? What would they do if we had a World War? What would they do if we had a real famine?
  25. Oh there's no question that there's a very active industry there, it's just not really in the bars and clubs anymore from what I understand, but it's likely easy to find if you're looking for it.
