  1. You can knock the US all you want, and granted there are some pretty crude people from the US (Trump is a great example), but the Russians beat the rudest Texan by a factor of 20.
  2. They don't need to love it, act like a scoundrel, defile law and order, create deafening noise pollution that travels for miles and miles and miles, and my friends and I will give you as hard a time as we possibly can. Just because we're guests here, just because it's not our country doesn't mean we have to behave like lap dogs, and sit down and get trampled underfoot by scoundrels on a consistent basis.
  3. There are likely more innocent people killed by gun violence in America than any other nation in the world. I would say by a factor of 10.
  4. No absolutely not, they both understood. They're both gone now but my father when he was still around, seemed to totally get why I didn't want to have kids. He said I would be the last in the line since I'm the only son, but they didn't seem too bothered. Have two other siblings with kids. Kids are simply not that big a deal they're not all that special and we don't all have to have them for the world to function.
  5. Chances are this guy has been misbehaving for a long time and he finally got caught this time around. The reality, more than likely is that he kicked the wrong doctor. He just assumed she was a local peasant, far beneath his exalted station in life, and he was just behaving in an arrogant and obnoxious fashion, as usual. It is likely the way he's been behaving since he was 6 or 7 years old. I say kick him out, I say good riddance, we don't need people like this in Thailand. We are guests here and we should show the local people some respect and dignity, this man is a clown and he doesn't deserve to live here. Send the creep back to Switzerland, his mother should have done a better job of raising him.
  6. While it is true that the murder rate in Thailand is comparable to the US, what is relevant here, is that 99.9% of those murders are Thai on Thai. Very few foreigners are targeted, nor the victims of random gun violence, like in the US.
  7. Been to Phuket enough times to know I would never want to live there under ordinary circumstances. With the influx of Russians, even free rent in a nice villa would not be enough motivation to live there, for me. Of course this is very subjective. I really, really dislike the Russians.
  8. Foreigners are allowed to own condos (up to 49% of a building can be owned by foreigners), and I believe they can also own a land lease.
  9. I think since cancer research has been nothing but a failure some of that money should be devoted toward desalination research. We really need to come up with simple and inexpensive ways to desalinate seawater. Just think of the problems that would solve.
  10. And where there is smoke there is fire, it is likely that this guy's been misbehaving for years and these are just a couple of things that he was caught doing. His general attitude stinks, he is one of those over entitled schmucks who just simply has too much cash in his pocket. His mother simply did not do a very good job raising him. See ya David. We won't miss you.
  11. They are my least favorite people on earth. Thankfully I don't have to live on Phuket. Had I lived there, I would have left. Why do I dislike them so much? I think it is partly a reflection of the current culture. It was destroyed over a century of callous and murderous leadership. Stalin, Lenin, Khruschev, now Putin. They have become somewhat savage and crude. No grace, no finesse, no courtesy. Rather uncivilized. My family was from Russia a few generations back. I used to ask my great-grandmother when she was still around, why they didn't teach us anything about the old country. She would give me this look, and tell me "the reason we never teach you about the place we came from, is because the place we came from was the most horrific country on earth, it was the most destitute, horrible, oppressive place and we were thrilled to finally get out of there and leave it behind. That's why we don't teach you about the old country, the old country doesn't exist for us. There are a multitude of reasons why very few people around the world have sympathy for the Russians. Those reasons are not limited to their serial killing, despot, thieving multi billionaire dictator for life. It is more about their nature, their history as ruthless, homicidal Cossack warriors, and their total lack of manners, and class. Not to mention the dignity, class, decency, civility, and social skills decades of Leninism, Stalinism, and now Putinism has stripped them of. And of course, the utter failure of their leader. This is a clear case of psychological projection: Putin dreamt and failed to create a dollar-free world and establish Russia as an “energy superpower.” He allowed corruption to metastasize through the state’s fabric, undermining its security capabilities. With its mass emigration, skyrocketing divorce rate, and low fertility, Russia, more than the West, demonstrates an immense collapse of family and social values.
  12. Have a long talk with your girlfriend, explain to her that these things are costly and that the next time this happens it's coming out of her pocket. I guarantee you she'll never lose another key!
  13. Though it would appear that Anutin's involvement would pretty much assure a specific outcome, for once he seems to be on the right side of an issue by putting pressure on the relevant authorities to make sure that money does not influence this decision. There is no question Thailand would be a better place without David Fehr on it's soil, he is a most foul man and seems to bring a dark cloud wherever he goes. Will Anutin influence the decision anyway? Never forget this tiny, grossly incompetent man was part of a terrible administration that redefined "the art of never following up" for nine long years.
  14. If only Anutin would decide to leave the country, Thailand would be a much, much better place without him and his fake brand of leadership.
  15. Well unlike the Chinese government who I believe is completely insincere about fighting corruption, the Vietnamese government seems to take corruption very seriously, and that is something that could take another 50 to 100 years before it happens in Thailand. It will only happen when the youth wrestles control of the country from the foul, toxic, corrupt, regressive dinosaurs, who worship only the Golden Calf of money. May the youth eventually prevail here.
  16. A cremation with a celebrant involved who can perform a 5,000 baht ceremony. Do not under any circumstances get the monks or the temples involved, they overcharge to an exorbitant degree, and the ceremonies are very boring.
  17. Well with the exception of Donald Trump's juvenile election denial, typically election results are respected and it's very rare that a duly elected PM, or President has the election stolen from him, as was the case with Pita.
  18. No that is not usually the mindset of a bully, bullies typically pick on people that can't fight back, it would sure be fun to have seen him kick somebody who is very competent in the martial arts, and watch the video of the reaction when Fehr was knocked down and on the ground crying and pleaing for mercy.
  19. Thailand could learn a lot from Vietnam, they are about to execute a woman for a major fraud operation. In your wildest dreams could you imagine something like that happening in Thailand? Also Vietnam is growing their economy at quite an impressive pace, the Thais could learn a lot from the systems that they have in place, and a cleaner, more efficient, significantly less corrupt system. Though Thailand used to be the tiger of Southeast Asia, now it is closer to a sickly, whiny, anemic alley cat.
  20. It is all part of the public record, if somebody is interested in finding out a very simple search will reveal the monstrosity of his debt, that he's accumulated over the decades. Most of his money has been made by ill-gotten gains, and by stealing money from small contractors. It's quite easy for somebody to become wealthy if they're willing to bend every moral law known to mankind. https://www.publicopiniononline.com/story/opinion/columnists/2022/09/07/when-it-comes-to-business-former-president-trump-track-record-dismal/65474745007/
  21. If only this guy would show some reverence toward the Thai people, things would be a whole lot better in this country. Sretta's extreme lack of progress demonstrates a great lack of respect for the people.
  22. The American judicial system is very, very broken. Had he not had $5 million dollars to spend on a legal team back then he would have been found guilty. Any American can get away with virtually any crime if they have enough money to throw at a great legal team. It's just the way the system is built.
  23. Always say no to absolute nonsense an emphatic no. If necessary get out of my business, you have no place in my life, see you but I wouldn't want to be.
  24. At first they said that for sure his visa will be revoked, now they seem to be equivocating. I guess some money, and perhaps some lawyers have gotten involved, and the spineless creatures at the top have wavered, and are now demonstrating their moral bankruptcy.
  25. What are your experiencing is happening around the entire planet, the population keeps expanding, now we're up to 8 billion. The best thing that's happening to the world right now is countries like China and Japan just saying no to children. Children are not that special, they're not really needed, they are way over rated, and thankfully it's a choice these days and not compulsory. A lot of people are saying no I don't need the headaches, I don't need the nonsense, I don't need the expense, I don't need the responsibility. Nah, I choose to have a great life, I don't need kids. I did that and it was the wisest and smartest decision of this lifetime. I don't miss not having kids for a nanosecond.
