Time to crank up the panic levels and keep the people afraid, keep them very afraid. Personally I'm more worried about catching a cold or a flu than the latest variant of an endemic virus.

Very amusing coming from the man who co-authored the near total destruction of Thai nightlife. Some of the devastation can be blamed on Covid. Much of it can be blamed on Prayuth, Anutin and their band of goons and thieves. It was more and more apparent by the day, that the destruction and sabotage of Thailand's tourism industry was likely deliberate, and planned out. Nothing else makes sense. They had been wanting to get rid of the nightlife for as long as they were in power. What better way to do this, than use the cover of Covid? Reduce the entire industry to ashes, then rebuild it, in their own pure as snow image. Without a trace of nightlife, or a hint of a sex industry. Anutin is a sabateur. And he engaged in the Prayuth Decimation.

I guess it is taking many of us sometime to figure you out, but now we know the vast majority of your posts are just simply meant to get a charge out of us, so this one was no exception. Nothing like those hopping dead folks, I think they're related to the Shrinking Foot Clan. Once your foot shrinks to a certain point due to bizarre traditions, you can't really walk anymore so you have to hop!

You are misunderstanding my premise. I'm talking about using an immigration official as an agent so the work is done within the office and it's entirely on them. It's official, it's not done on the outside. It's a completely different thing when you're paying off an immigration agent directly rather than an outside agent. They're all above the law, any and all laws.

How would you describe heaven?
spidermike007 replied to Chris Daley's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
A comfortable house with a great woman who has an amazing attitude, and always has my back. Enough food on the table, enough gratitude to truly appreciate the things that we have been blessed with in life, and a good attitude on a daily basis. Add in good health and I don't think it gets much better than that. -
Mysterious mass death at Chiang Mai Night Safari shocks Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
They attributed the tiger’s death to ageing and stated that another white tiger cub had died earlier, at less than ten months due to weak health and infection. Several other animals had also died or disappeared, allegedly due to predation by pythons, preventing the recovery of their remains. All within one month. Huh? Purely coincidental? Nope. Don't thing so. Neglect? Poor care? Maintenance issues? Deflect. Never, ever take responsibility for your actions. -
Nualphan lines up biggest challenge yet: Saving Thai football
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I know nothing about women's football in Thailand, but my question is about men's football. A lot of these teams seem to have big name sponsors. Are these sponsors simply unwilling to pay for very talented foreign players? There are a few foreign players but they all seem to make relatively modest amounts of money, are these sponsors just cheap Charlie's? -
How “peacemaker” Thaksin is stirring up Thai politics
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
How on earth is this guy considered a peacemaker? If anything he has declaring war on the Thai people by allowing his party to jump into bed with the toxic army, and completely betray the hopes, will, wishes, dreams, and ambitions of the vast majority of the Thai people and especially the youth. Thaksin is enemy number one at this point, so are the PT, Sretta and the army.- 76 replies

No the one thing that you've gotten wrong here is that once you pay that fee it is the immigration agent who has committed fraud, and that fraud is entirely on them, not me. My visa is completely legitimate and the agent is the one who's entirely vulnerable. At least in theory. The other aspect of this is that getting caught submitting fraudulent documents to immigration is likely a serious crime, on the other hand using documents that immigration has created for you is no crime at all.

There is no question that Russian history, culture and art is incredibly deep and incredibly rich, this is the land that is that has produced the Bolshoi and the Kirov, Nobokov, Stravinsky, Malevich, Popova, Kandinski, etc. But most of that is ancient history, these days they're producing munitions, they're creating warfare, they are sponsoring corruption, they're creating oligarchs out of thin air from state enterprises, they have a leader who's one of the richest men in the world from extortion and pure corruption, who also happens to be a serial killer, and they just do not seem to be contributing much in the way of positivity to the planet as a whole. If I'm wrong, if you are aware of some wonderful things that the Russian nation is doing for the planet, please let me know. I would love to hear about that.

Well in my opinion I think kids are very overrated, some are great sure, and certainly the art of parenting goes a long way towards helping a child to develop into a well-formed adult. But I would have to say that the vast majority of children are nothing special on any level, and I double down on the fact that choosing to not have kids was the single greatest decision of this lifetime. So I'm in total agreement with you on this one.

Thailand to abolish hefty import tariff on wine
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Some flagship stores with luxury brands are intended to lose money, and the brands know from the very start that they're not going to be profitable stores, yet they consider them to be valuable forms of publicity and the need for the brand to be seen. Let me know the last time you've seen anybody and a Prada store in Bangkok. Thais with the kind of money to spend 400,000 baht on a purse travel a lot, and they'd much rather spend 140,000 baht on that same purse in Singapore or London. Same applies to tourists, the most common complaint I've heard from wealthy tourists is that they'll never return because the wife won't shop here, as luxury prices are beyond insane. -
Most Thai people have a great sense of humor and when I've used the term phom ting tong nit noy. Many people get a real kick out of it and they really start laughing. Most Thais appreciate a foreigner who does not take himself too seriously. Often they will comment saying that I love to joke around. I'm not worried about esteemed company, quite frankly I don't hang out with the hi-so nonsense crowd. Thankfully. Ha!

Will tax breaks help the Thai economy change gear?
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wonder if this will encourage Thais to start reading books. Getting a tax credit for books, what a wonderful and novel concept. -
I could understand local people being annoyed and offended by something like this. When staying in Thailand either as a tourist or an expat one is expected to show a certain amount of decorum, etiquette and respect. This is likely just a low life drunk hopefully a few nights in jail might sober him up.

Well what might appear empty to you is bordering on paradise to many millions of us. Though I like kids, I've never had the desire to own any. One hour with one is plenty. And I feel that deciding not to have children was likely single-handedly the greatest, wisest, and most astute decision that I've made in this lifetime! I have not missed them for a nanosecond, and I never will. It's a personal choice, we all have to make these kind of decisions. 98% choose to go the conventional route and have children. For me children were never an option. And I'm infinitely thankful for that.

Collectively we're certainly a crazy race in terms of humanity as a whole, there's no question that we are considerably more insane than we are normal. Certainly we've shown ourselves to be capable of great things and great acts of mercy, but we've also shown ourselves to be capable of Intolerable cruelty and unbelievable hate. So are we crazy? Absolutely, are we redeemable? Yes definitely. Personally I consider myself to be ting tong mak mak, so somewhere in the neighborhood of crazy, and life is a lot more fun with an attitude like that. Crazy playful. Ha!
