Total nonsense, and complete denial of science. This is about maintaining paranoia, control, and fear. After all, you would not want the people to get too comfortable. They might take to the streets again, and show their disdain for this thoroughly toxic, and nearly useless administration. Hopefully, we will see alot of civil disobedience. I for one, will not be wearing a mask for much longer. This is getting ridiculous. Defy stupidity and oppression! Embrace science and common sense.

First they say it is moving toward being endemic, then they say mask wearing is indefinite. It is a completely different thing, to be wearing a mask to fight pollution, than it is because big brother is telling us we have to, and the populace is looking at you like a spreader of Bubonic plague when you do not, due to a total denial of science and 2 years of panic mongering. Cloth masks barely work. And using a mask outdoors, and on a motorcycle is beyond ignorant. It is positively sickening. Many countries around the world, where there governments are NOT employing covid as a means to scare the public into submission are doing away with masks.

Parents here should be more worried about their kids refusing to use the car seats, after being spoiled rotten for the first few years, and being able to move around a fast moving car like an ape in the forest. That will be the biggest challenge for the people who say they are parents, but refuse to behave like one.

I just bought $200,000 of Bitcoin

Hope you had the good sense to sell out at $50,000. -
This flaming idiot sounds like he left it right out in the open and expected the lady of the night, a complete stranger, to be a woman of total honor. Anyone in their right mind has the sense to lock their valuables and cash up. If not in a safe, then in a locked piece of luggage. Out of sight, out of mind, and out of harms way. Very, very basic survival skills. Sorry, but my heart does not bleed for fools.

Silver is an infinitely better bet than gold right now. But the primary issues are that it is nearly impossible to buy here, in any desirable form, it takes up alot of space, and there is a $5 plus premium on bullion in the US right now, due to high demand. I still think it is a good bet, if you are able to order it, and store it. Silver is historically (very long term) at a 1 to 15 ratio to gold. It is now at a small fraction of that. The gold silver ratio represents the number of silver ounces it takes to buy a single ounce of gold. Historically speaking, the gold silver ratio has rested somewhere between 15 and 10 to 1, reflecting the average supply of each metal. There were times throughout the history of money where the ratio was even lower — China once had a 4 to 1 ratio and the ancient Egyptians even had a 1 to 1 ratio at one point. https://www.longtermtrends.net/gold-silver-ratio/

The banks are very grateful to be paying you 0.01% on your money. It is the steal of the century for those corrupt freaks. -
Thai monk complains of receiving condoms among offerings

Perhaps you are not universally respected. Have you ever considered the possibility that respect and admiration has to be earned, and never, ever should be freely given? -
I would define rich as having over $5 million in easily convertible assets. Earning $120k a year is not rich, that is just the result of a very dumb survey. You can barely live well on $120k a year in LA. That is about $6000 a month after taxes. LA is stunningly expensive these days. I know folks in the US who earn over $200k a year, and barely have any savings.

No Country For Old Men. Certainly not Thailand.

Especially applies to what is typically on offer there, for most guys over 50. Older, less attractive women, some of them quite out of shape. And they still think they are worth gold, silver, cars, houses, condos, and gifts and prizes. Compared to what is available here, there is absolutely no appeal. -
Thai children’s IQ levels on the rise, over 10% above 130

OK. Good to hear. I know there are some exceptional young folks here. Give them a chance. Stop the stifling life of convention. Improve education, encourage them to question their teachers, encourage curiosity, and allow them to excel! Only by opening their minds to the possibilities, will they do extraordinary things with their lives. -

There is always the option of going to a different immigration office. They are all corrupt beyond the imagination. The money they are earning is staggering. -
Any dog that viciously attacks a human should be put down immediately. And the owner should be charged with negligent manslaughter, sentenced to at least 10 years in prison, and be forced to surrender title to his home. Harsh? Yes. But so is death by a dumb, vicious and untrained pet. It is known as a deterrent. Word would get around quickly.

They seem to be highly resentful of a guy who is able to get with a far younger woman, without having to jump over very high hurdles. Not fair. Not right. Not good. Why? Is he worth hundreds of millions? Oh. She is Asian. Damn. Not right. She is a submissive! They are so judgmental, and alot of it stems from the lack of self esteem that comes with total surrender of their femininity. They let go of the one thing that made them special in the first place. Glad it is not my problem! -

Yeah. I likely would, over having the young monkey climbing all over car, at 100kph plus. Far safer. -

Thailand is an excellent choice for those of us who are getting up there in years. As long as you have money, or a good pension or income. The quality of life is quite good here, things are still quite reasonable, labor is inexpensive, and even at 60 or 70, you can find a relationship with a pretty, charming woman who is quite a bit younger. In the US, you need to be a centimillionaire to do that. For those of us who do not own property back in our home countries, Thailand is a great option. For the same home I rent here, I would have to pay $3,500 a month in many larger cities in the US. That is 120,000 baht a month, which represents the very definition of insanity, and an economy that is out of control. A bag of groceries back there is $100 and up. Anything labor related is out of control. Health care? Even without insurance here it is affordable. I visit the emergency room here to visit a specialist, and with x-rays I am out the door for 2000 baht, at a private hospital. In the US? $300-2000. An anecdote on this subject. A good friend of mine got in a bad motorcycle accident some time ago. He almost lost his leg. He got his first of 11 operations at Bangkok Hospital Samui. It costs him over a million baht. They wanted to do a second procedure. They quoted him 1,400,000 baht. He decided to transfer to Bangkok. He was quoted 460,000 baht for the same procedure, at a top private hospital there. The surgeon told him that he worked at a public hospital too, and could do the same operation there, for alot less money. He told him he would get him a quote. In the interim, my friend called a good friend of his, in San Diego, who is an orthopedic surgeon. Since my friend is a retired chiropractor, he knew all the terminology, and explained what he needed, and asked for the best price. His friend called him back the next day, and quoted him $960,000, with cash discounts! The local surgeon here got back to him, and told him he could do it for 46,000 baht. He transferred, and they did all the rest of his procedures. So, 1,400,000 at Bangkok Hospital, 460,000 at Vejthani Hospital, and 46,000 at the public hospital, with an excellent surgeon. VS. 31,000,000 baht in the US. Again, no complaints from this peanut gallery! -
The Thai military is not only an extremely toxic organization, but in addition to that, they do very little to benefit Thai society. They are like a vampire sucking the blood of society. They have enormous budgets, and where that money goes in anyone's guess. Where were they when we needed the borders protected, at the height of covid? There used to be a small amount of prestige being associated with the military here. That is all gone now. They have lost whatever little bit of luster they once had, if they had any. Gone, baby gone. The people in charge of these schools should be punished for their foolishness, extreme convention, and lack of creativity.
