  1. Covid cases are down dramatically, fatalities nationwide are down to 6 a day, from who knows what else might be related, and they keep trying to instill fear. Let's face it. The goons love the additional power covid gives them.
  2. I am not a big fan of social media. But if it can be used to destroy the life of a street worm like this guy, so be it. You live your life on a gutter level of selfishness, leaning on your rank for prestige and fortune, and consistently abusing your power, and you get what is coming to you. This half man is not deserving of any respect. None. Nada. Nunca. Zero.
  3. Correct. It is a quite bizarre sense of earning some sort of Buddhavistic merit, when in reality they are simply prolonging their misery, making the place more dangerous, especially for young children who are the ones often attacked by these rabid creatures.
  4. Is it safe to say two of the most toxic institutions in Thailand are the RTP and the army? Neither seem to be of much use to the people. The police seem to be the worst, with attitude issues. Police Colonel Charnchai Bengjantheukwith the Dan Khun Thot force in Nakhon Ratchasima in NE Thailand, is one of them. A thoroughly toxic man, full of himself for no justifiable reason, other than his rank and power. Someone needs to straighten him out. Where is Charlie Bronson when he is needed?
  5. Sounds like a number of folks, who though they matured in years, never matured emotionally. And that is not an uncommon occurance here. I find most women here to be more emotionally developed than most men. Is that what happens when one is coddled too much, and told you are special, a thousand times too many, with absolutely nothing to back up that statement, other than a false belief that boys are somehow better than girls?
  6. And even crazier was the fact that people actually went out of their way to hear this heathen preach! They were spared that say. Perhaps it gave them a moment to reflect!
  7. We won't take the life of a mangy soi dog, yet we take the lives of pigs and cows every day with our dietary preferences. Is that Buddhist philosophy? I think not.
  8. Rabies is an epidemic here. They shut down the economy for covid. They don't shut down the highways due to traffic deaths, and they don't do anything about the soi dog tragedy and dangers. Already in 2018, there have been nearly 500 rabies cases reported, which is a significant increase over the 160 reported last year for the same period. The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) estimates that Thailand has 10 million stray dogs, with 1 in 10 dogs in Bangkok suspected to be infected with rabies. https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/health-blog/mar-2018/rabies
  9. Great point. People get so sensitive about soi dogs, yet they do not hesitate to encourage the killing of pigs, cows and other animals for their own enjoyment and consumption. Isn't there a bit of hypocrisy there? If you eat animals, you are responsible for their slaughter. At least one can make an argument that the animals they eat serve a function. That argument cannot be made about the mangy, diseased, pestilent, sad, forlorn, abandoned soi dogs. They lead lives of desperation. If you love them show some commitment and adopt a few. Otherwise, let's get rid of them.
  10. Leave me alone. Do you know who my uncle is? It is likely this lowlife, racist fool was drunk. She needs some time in the slammer. Would be a good form of rehab and detox for her.
  11. That is not correct. Countless studies have shows the very limited efficacy of a cheap cotton mask. The virus is Nano. These masks offer little protection. So, perhaps you meant protect the conventionality and obedience of the bank patrons?
  12. Road safety starts with a deterrent. In most nations the highway patrol actually patrols the highway, looking for reckless drivers. That does not exist here. You start by firing highway patrol officers who refuse to patrol.
  13. Yes, it appears the protests had their desired effect. The madman, power hungry Xi is letting go of his absolutely insane zero covid policy. Shutting down major cities over a few cases was strange and incredibly dumb policy. And it did not work. They were requiring PCR tests to enter your apartment building! And they continued with the lowest efficacy vaccines. Bizarre.
  14. Though this plan is a step in the right direction, however the flaw within it, is the fact that when bitten, you don't know if the dog has been vaccinated, or not. So, you must get treated at a hospital, anyway. And the cost of treatment is up to 20,000 baht for a series of rabies shots. And that assumes it was a light bite and no other injuries occurred. As opposed to a small child being maimed for life. Many of these soi dogs are insane and true desperado. So, we should prioritize the lives of mangy, miserable soi dogs over the well being of the human population? The real solution is massive, nationwide culling. These are mangy creatures, leading desperate lives. Show some nerve and compassion and take them out of the misery. Clean up the streets!
  15. Yes, we know who you are. You are a drunk numskull, who belongs to an institution that is of very little value to the nation. That is who you are.
  16. A reasonably good point. However, the locals on Samui are well aware of the trash. And yet they choose to ignore it. And the mayor is largely to blame. So are the leading families on Samui. Shame on them for their extreme lack of pride. It is an easy and inexpensive thing to keep these beaches clean. And with the money they generate from tourism, the trash is a very sad indictment on the leadership on Samui. When I lived there, sometimes the island felt like a very old dishrag, which had been used several hundred too many times.
  17. This man has never had any respect for the rule of law. And he has been in denial for a very long time. The fact that he lost by such a wide margin, even though he likely cheated, is quite an indictment. No Don, the election was not stolen. You were unceremoniously ushered out of DC, and the people said enough of your nonsense. You were a bull in a china closet, created mayhem, chaos, hatred, decision, and nearly caused a civil war. We are so much better off without you, and many Americans hope and pray you will end up in prison, for your decades of misdeeds, crimes, fraud, cheating, and misbehavior. You are a very sad man, lacking any dignity, decency, or grace. His base has been dwindling since the election. Alot of conservative friends and family I have been speaking with, agree Biden won, and the fraud thing is a bit much, and a sure sign of a sore loser. And those same people say that it would be easier to continue supporting the man, if he just kept his mouth shut. I think the DC fiasco backfired for sure, and he lost alot of his "middle of the road, sensible, hard working, decent people" base. It was an enormous miscalculation, and an act of sheer desperation by an unhinged madman. Trump incited a riot. He has no limits of civility or temperance. And the more extremist people within his base take what he says as literally as some fundamentalists take the Bible. Add in deniers like Cruz and Hawley, (small minded men just jockeying for a powerful future position) and you have a near civil war. Fair to intervene? Or just sit back, and let it happen? I think what FB and Twitter did was glorious, wise, and upholds the republic. I never in a million years thought Dorsey or Zuck would have the cajones to do this. Good on them! Now, we have weaker men like Musk, who are trying to change the rules of the game.
  18. First the extremely toxic senate needs to be sent packing. They were appointed by the army, in a move that reeks of power mongering and corruption. So, without them removed, there is little chance of anything fair happening here. It is a very sad indictment of the nation, when a very inferior man like Prawit, who has no leadership ability, is chosen for anything other than janitorial work.
  19. Good work. One of the reasons I left Samui, is the astonishing lack of pride, of most of the locals. Sometimes Thai people can learn through shame. These gals are shaming the locals. That is a good thing. Someone has to do it. The mayor of Samui has been amassing a fortune for a long time now, and he could have assembled beach clean up crews for 60,000 baht per month. That is drop in the bucket. But, he is too cheap, and has no vision or pride. Neither do most of the leading families on Samui, it would appear. Samui is a gorgeous island, once you get away from the Ring Road. But, some of the beaches need maintenance.
  20. This so called father should be dealt with very, very harshly. If not by the law (which is very unlikely), by the daughter. Sometime, parents need to be educated, and sometimes it is not necessarily a pretty thing to witness. Some parents are truly clueless. And old fashioned is no excuse. It just means this fool is locked up in a box of conventionality, and mindlessness.
  21. Two male burglars on a motorbike were seen coming back and forth from the houses and taking many possessions away, said the victim’s relative and witness Ms. Montha Sukkong. This is some relative. Did she not think it was appropriate to tell anyone, or do anything? Really? Is that all she has got to offer?
  22. I really try to avoid most food products from China. Who knows what they do to them and how they are processed. The safety standards seem to be next to nil, and the ethical part of the equation does not exist. Not to mention the frequently low quality. Just say no to China. If possible.
  23. Elon Musk is the last person in the world I would take any kind of advice from. For someone so smart it is amazing how dumb he can be. I think he simply has no social skills and is likely pathological in nature. I kind of hope Twitter fails, as I consider it to be totally toxic for culture and society. And I hope he moves to his beloved Mars.
  24. A minority seem to know how to use a cashless system, but the number of times I am in a line that has ground to a halt over someone trying to get their payment app to work is voluminous. It is especially annoying when dealing with a 45 baht cup of coffee. Just man up and carry some cash! Giving people the option of going cashless is one thing. Demanding it is another. I love cash. Cash is king!
  25. Real life. I go back three times a year. The price increases are stunning. Don't believe the nonsensical data. It is very fake. Real life is more about truth.
