Is this the end of Thailand's Tourist Industry?
spidermike007 replied to Robin's topic in General Topics
Does TAT have the ability and acumen to see what is happening and to try o reverse the trend? Absolutely not. They are unteachable. They do not have a creative bone in their bodies. They have learned nothing from covid. Woe is Thailand with brain dead leadership. -
If you will be on the roads anytime after 6am, all bets are off. Bangkok traffic continues to be some of the worst. You just never know. If it were me, I would come the might before, and stay at an inexpensive place nearby. Or take the train.

We just don't care what you have to say. Not one iota. You are desperately attempting to keep yourself relevant, but you are not. -

The cannabis debate continues, but can Thailand control it?
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is not a real debate at all. What they should be debating is the horrible consequences of drunk during and domestic abuse from drunkenness. That is the real issue. How many people end up wiped out on the road from being a bit too high? Not many. How many people who are high cause horrific accidents? Not many.- 60 replies

This plague of drunk driving could be fixed. Immediate and permanent confiscation of the vehicle when death is involved. A 10 year mandatory prison sentence. Permanent revocation of the drivers license. Killing someone while drunk is a very serious offense. When will they start behaving as such? Then they can move onto the root causes of drunkenness. Extreme dissatisfaction with one's life? Childhood trauma and pain that never got worked out? Or even looked at? An extreme lack of self respect?

Loan Sharks are even harassing factory owners over workers’ debts
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is symptomatic of just how decimated the Thai economy is at this time. Few want to admit it.
