  1. We had a police escort for a school summer camp to Khao Yai one year, the coaches didnt stop at all from the time we left Ratotaksin Island. We were told the kids were from important families, so we had a police riders all the way, closing off the traffic lights. This must be a right earner for the RTP.
  2. Just started watching the new series of Godfather of Harlem I can’t believe they changed the actor for Malcom X .. The new guy isn’t as good by a long way .. it has totally ruined it for me.
  3. I watched an episode, from a pack 21.71GB tagged with SMURF - it seems good. There shouldn’t be an issue, it’s from netflix, it’s not like it’s fansubbed. Also, interestingly, the first episode defaulted to dubbed English audio, I never use a dub, never since watching Shaw bros. Martial arts movies, and it sounded like the actual Fauda actors did the dub, it was well done, I watched the first action scene at the beginning before it dawned on me. But I hear you, I tried watching Sky Roja last night, it didn’t have English subs, along with hundreds of other languages it has the English hard of hearing subs (like with [Music Playing] .. then the lyrics) - it confused me no end so gave up waiting for a PROPER version.
  4. Yeah, there's something I really like about Manayek, Im really busy at the moment, but I found it hard to watch just one episode when I had time to sit down. I really hope they nail Bakar in the next series - Doren Ben David, from Fauda is a real good character, a real nasty piece of work. I don't know where Fauda came from, I didn't check, I have an auto-DL system, reoccurring shows appear and I always add recommendations from you guys. I also have Line in The sand, stonehouse and the last of us to catch up on
  5. Just as I finished Manayek, 12 Episodes of Fauda S04 are available! Great to see Your Honor back .. Cool.
  6. Just my 2THB - On your first extension, most including myself overthink everything. After a couple of extensions you develop a different attitude. You don’t know when your appointment is, but you are worrying about the timing of your bank letter. I do mine the afternoon prior and find a bank that opens at 8.00 or 8.30 and get my bank book updated on the day, I don’t know what I would do if my appointment was on a Monday, but I schedule my visits to avoid the day after a weekend or bank holiday. Im with kasikorn and my bank letter format have changed over the years, it doesn’t confirm a figure over a number of months like it used to, they said they can’t confirm that now, yet when it changes, I panic and stress, they say there is nothing that immigration won’t accept and I go with it, and every time, it’s fine. Hope helps and, good luck.
  7. Yes, me too .. I have black marks on prints, I think I need to change the drum, right? Apart from that, they are awesome, I wonder why I stuck with inkjets for so long. Always clogging, tanks always need bleeding.
  8. What are you talking about? I don’t live in Pattaya, the post I was replying to doesn’t mention where he comes from. The certificate of residence is free in Khon Kaen, it was free in Hat Yai too. Here is the link to the DLT online booking system - it’s not exclusive to Thai people because I used it in December. https://gecc.dlt.go.th You need to enter the addy manually because it doesn’t work.
  9. Man, I feel for you guys. My certificate of residence is free, it takes 15 mins. The doctors certificate is 50B, this is the first time I haven't been charged double. When I renewed my bike license, they asked for two copies of my old DL, front and rear, copy of the doc certificate, copy of the certificate of residence - I think I may have prepared 2 copies of my passport data page, visa, entry stamp and latest extension. They took the originals, and asked me why I had two copies. I can't recall if they took the passport copies, but if they did, it was just one set. For the renewal, I had already booked online, the appointment was within a week of application, so it was a matter of checking in - doing the color and braking test, photo, in and out within the hour. For my first car license, I did some Mickey Mouse 2 day course in a driving school, 3000B, they issued me with a certificate and prepared all my paperwork for me. I booked my place online, again, within a week, checked in, (no need for any tests, they had the machines at the driving school, but they just smiled when I asked if I should do or not) I paid, photo, out the door - 30 mins.
  10. Yeah, I go to RAM, I find it can be a <deleted> shoot, sometimes things are cheaper than expected - sometimes not.
  11. Sorry, I was a bit definitive - I did mine last month and there was only the two I mentioned, when I asked why, 6 months prior, this was what I was told - I should have said, depending upon the test center and used "has been" and "wasn't".
  12. Because of risk of covid contamination, there is no perepheral vision, or distance assessment (the one where you stop the moving drinking straws when they are level) - Its just reaction test, with the brake pedal and colourblindness - Then there is an learning video - just watch it at home and get your QE code pass, you might need to watch it twice for your two licenses. https://dlt-elearning.com Then just go to the DLT - its a doddle - if your DLT has done away with the queuing system, then just walk in with your witchdoctors certificate and your away.
  13. LOL - You know you don't have to get the answers correct? I had the same 3 question popups, I think it was 3 times. I got the same one wrong every time , basically because I didn't read the question. I wasn't expecting the same questions to appear - in the end I got 6/9 - I think the missus did worse than me. You still get the QR code pass.
  14. As mentioned this is old news, but I still had to to book an appointment when I applied for my plastic card last month. I have been enjoying the organization of online booking and queue systems at various government offices, it’s a shame to turn back now. I went through the DLT a couple of times last year to either renew or apply for licenses, in and out within the hour - then in previous years, you would need to join the snaking queue at 7.30 am and spend the best part of a day waiting.
  15. Thanks - I have this in my to watch library, I was trying to remember the Irish series that were recommended in the past. I found Kaleidoscope tried a bit too fast, simple, and irritating - it all came off as an oceans 11 ripoff so I gave up. Some returning series for the new year you might find around, Sky Roja originally from the same guy who wrote money heist - Amazon Prime Hunters, and a bit of dinner time viewing, Hornby, a model world. Currently watching Darkness: Those who kill is on E03 and I’m really into Manayek Did S04 of Fauda appear anywhere I haven’t checked yet?
  16. If your European company is willing to use payoneer you will save yourself a lot of money, the fees charged by paypal are ridiculous.
  17. 10/10 for observation! Big Joke was in Samui yesterday investigating an international school teacher accused of molesting a kindergarten kid. You know how these guys roll, we can presume he flies on business jets. One wonders why the Samui police are so incapable of investigating a crime that they need the big boss to come and solve the mystery.
  18. I think you mean, the piece of paper he needs to request is the Bai Lap Long Pear (Pae) - not so much a certificate of spice.
  19. The mini van drivers would have a stack of passports in their hands which they would pass through Padang Besar immigration checkpoint with - the good ole old days.
  20. I just had to sit my car license test last month and this is one of the questions I saw on repeat while learning the answers off by heart. It’s 6 months before expiry, which is news to me because I always understood as @scubascuba3 says, they usually won’t entertain you until 3 months prior. I guess as always depends on the clerk or wether or not they have had lunch or not.
  21. “I no go with customers - I just serve drinks” to tell the truth, I have never been with a bar girl, I always find the girls that “no - I not work in bar, I work in restaurant”
  22. Cheers for the reply, I didnt see it before. I think, if you free range the birds then they get what they want from the wild. They peck at the ground all day long. We haven't had any issues. Foodwise, we have been experimenting - I was told by FB experts they need at least 20% protein, like game bird food .. the breeder just gives the 17% chicken food, we tried duck feed with higher %, but they were too big and ended up throwing them over the floor in an effort to break them up. We tried rice, but really its a low protien carb, that just fills them and gives no benefit .. so we are on an even path now of straight chicken feed. After 4 months, the birds, 8 in total, are awesome, looking clean and healthy. They eat about 30kg of feed a month, which is a little bit more than I was expecting to buy. They are funny as anything, they move around in a little herd never far from one another, they are very quiet thankfully, but when there is an issue, they go off! which is what we wanted. I never thought a bird could make a noise so loud. I would thoroughly recommend them as "pets" - we haven't got any eggs yet and would have loved to kill a couple to eat, but she isnt hearing any of it.
  23. Thanks .. looks good. I watched the first episode of The Peripheral - and didn’t find it of great interest, but glad I took the time to rewatch from the start, really into it.
  24. I made a resolution to do more with music production / radio this year. Was pounding this one out yesterday - maybe a change in direction to the regular posts in this thread, 1979 Sleeper.
