Yes, I saw a infographic the other day, Thailand dumps an estimated 22,806 tonnes into the sea, the Philippines 356,371 tonnes - a lot of that has to do with the coastline to land mass ratio, (or so im told) but its still a shocking amount. I started Last King of the Cross last night, pretty good with some familiar faces from Mr. Inbetween - Also Hello Tomorrow! hmmmm, not sure if that one makes the grade.

When we came to look at the land, he had built a wall around his 1.5 Rai plot, grassed it over and planted some nice big trees. We never met him, there’s only two other houses in the dead end soi, one is a retired army guy, the other a teacher nearing retirement - everyone is great, people in the village are lovely, then this clown. If he doesn’t want to talk or whatever, that’s fine, but he will not stop interfering, I have never come across anyone like him in Thailand before, his attitude is so un-Thai. I don’t see him as a threat, I don’t think he is brave enough to do anything silly, just like the camera, it’s always small things, no one cares about being filmed - why point it at my builders? it would be beneficial to point it down the line of the wall to catch people climbing over, he has also demonstrates he monitors the feed - LOL!!!!

No one can talk to this guy, not the local government, village headman or any of the other locals that have a problem. We have tried to be pleasant to the guy, we met him the first time, he spoke nicely, showed us his garden then started talking lies to people of things that never happened in that “meeting”. Still, we invited them to our ground breaking ceremony, he didn’t attend but stayed in his house (lol maybe watching on his tablet) and then appeared in his garden everyone had gone home. Contrary to others ideas, I’m not paranoid or actually give a flying one, he can take as much construction video as he wants, but I just wanted to learn about the legality. I actually forgotten until I read a post in another forum, which got me wondering, If he’s doing it now, what’s to stop him putting another or multiple cameras along his property line into any of my windows. Maybe he thinks he is bullying or worrying us, he’s definitely a strange one.

There is a bit of a back story, the guy has done something to his plumbing, and he’s directing grey water from his house into the road infront, the neighbours asked him to stop, the water flows onto the road and then on to my land, he thinks there isn’t a problem to make a muddy swamp at the front of my lane and for people to drive through his green slime because he can’t be bothered to install adequate plumbing. No one can talk to this guy. The tessaban engineer came to check my works the other day and while he was talking to foreman, he comes from his house and shouts as he is storming out of his house “come here!!” to the engineer, and then berates him because my ex-builder may have built a wall 1-2cm too close to his boundary. We aren’t locals, but it’s a village, you can see everyone has connected to each others walls, that everyone gets along, the locals are awesome, but everyone hates this guy and his bullying ways, he isn’t a local at all, doesn’t participate in village activities. He must have been watching the engineer through his camera system, which I find weird. I have cameras myself that I will reinstall in this new place, but I only really use the front gate camera, to open the gate, the rest are for recording. Anyway, when the garage goes up he will get a pic of a rendered wall and he will change it back. I was more concerned with the legality of what he is doing rather than stopping him.

I posted before about issues with my neighbour, he’s a bit of a bully. I notice he has 8 CCTV cameras on 4 corners of his house. I’m sure in the past he had them facing along his boundary, as you would expect, but now he has one turned directly to observe my construction. I’m not totally paranoid in regard to CCTV, infact quite the opposite, I will enjoy playing with a the advanced capabilities of my own system when building work has completed, such a using a Thai ANPR system to open my front gate. I’m also very aware of catching his property in my cameras and will be positioning them carefully. When the garage is complete, it will obscure my house from this camera, but it seems obvious that this camera has no security purpose, its sole purpose is to film my builders and myself. I’m sure the system connects to a cheap NVR and he views the feed on his tablet. Could his actions be illegal? Could I ask him to point his to camera in along his boundary line as it should be and not directly at my property (it’s not at my property, it’s directed at my house, for no security purpose, basically he’s spying on me)

The last series of Snowfall appeared. I just started BBCs Gold and the first episode of a new series of Channel 5 Police suspect No.1 which is a copycat of 24 hours in police custody, but not quite .. filmed in Norwich police station.

Do people really count the woke score? As there are black people in the world, it never surprises me that they appear on TV. Now that you point it out, I agree the fact that the kid was deaf added nothing to the plot. Sometimes, at the end of my day, I just want to sit back, not think so much worry about politics or acting and just watch loads of zombies being shot and special effects.

Yeah man, it started off a bit dull, you could see that it was following the plot line of a zombie invasion PS game. I watched the episode in which they are escaping from the city, I thought it was pretty “intense”, and am enjoying the series.

Honda used to do training for bikes, the place was on Ramkhamhaeng Road, BKK - I’m sure it was in English. Not sure if they did scooters, tho’ As the other poster says there are “driving schools” in every provincial city but the emphasis is on passing the test and smoothing over the process for a small fee, typically 1000B. Surely, if you can drive a car, you know the rules of the road - you can teach yourself by watching “a twist of the wrist” on YouTube and practicing in BigC carpark? It’s probably more informative than a Thai driving school.

Mate, I always stick with recommendations from here, there is like 7 series of it or something like. I just started E01 - it looks dated, because it is!

How can having one virtual shopping card be “insanely complicated”? Like I said, you are getting a swift refund confused with answering a complaint. Kasikorn made it complicated with their moving dates, lies and winding down a service without wanting to tell anyone.

I had 99B taken multiple times from my virtual shopping card that’s only registered Lazada and was a continuing occurrence, the bank we fine to refund, often within mins but couldn’t provide a new virtual shopping card for high would have been the best solution, told me multiple dates when they would be available, made so many excuses why and when, blamed the IT dept. and then after a year removed the virtual shopping card completely. Yeah, sure they pay up but that’s not always answering a complaint.

I think it’s a common misconception that consumer protection laws are not in place - because I gather there are some. But like, half the battle we had was trying to speak to a real person at Shopee, when we did get in contact with someone at Shopee, she ran rings around us, “it was out of warantee” she said, I countered with “the size chart was wrong” “It’s fake” - she had an answer to it all. It’s not just Shopee, try making a complaint to your bank, virtually impossible to get an acceptable conclusion.

Kind of why I deleted the Shopee app - I ordered from a Thai company, who then drop shipped from China, when the wrong size appeared, the seller refused any return as “it was ordered from China” and Shopee wouldn’t do a thing because the warranty time had expired. Now I’m the proud owner of an under armor wind break perfect fit but the sleeves are two inches too short. Every seller thinks they are cleverer than the customer these days.

That’s a coincidence, my buddy had a volunteer visa, he’d never been to KKC either, he hadn’t volunteered for anything either, but I live in KKC and although quite efficient had to jump through hoops for my first home visit, supply two witnesses from my “moo” number, which wasn’t easy. Money and agents talk at KKC, while honest applicants are given a hard time.

Ganglands is back on Netflix S02 starts on Friday - the first series was pretty good. New episodes of Your Honour seems to be taking forever to appear, so currently watching The Last of Us and finally got around to watching Subarra which was recommended here a few years back. I also noticed a new series of the Irish show, Smother had returned.
