If you have space in the case for multiple HDD and use your machine for seeding torrents 24/7 then buy a new PC for your editing and admin and then use the old case and HDD as a media server, running unraid.

Already mentioned, Rabbit Hole - well worth a look, I just watched the first 3 episodes in an evening. -
When I was a BKK bar lurker, I remember not all bar girls were young - hardcore - tattooed - aggressive types that I see on Pattaya YouTube vlogs. I remember, there were a lot of girls that never used to get picked to go home, they would all scuttle down Cowboy and at other times I would see them heading back to their apartments on Suk 71 where I was living at 2.00 am. When visiting BKK, I never had trouble convincing most of them to take the night off to go somewhere else, or to make a phone call and pick them up after work. I rarely paid a bar fine, I was always given the opportunity "up to you" (I mean, obviously the same ole same ole, I was young, hansum with ..) - There were a few that were big trouble and were only interested in doing the business and moving on to the next customer, but most were nice girls. I still have a few bar girls in my fb, they are in their mid 40s now, seem to have done really well for themselves and look happy enough, not all of them with Western guys, some hooked up with Asian guys in SG or HK, some are married to handsome Thai guys with kids. So i'm not too sure that the old phrase of "you can take a bar girl out of a bar .. " is always true.

All intensively reared fish are given antibiotics and hormones, it's included in their feed, it gives them the right flesh color for the supermarket, changes sex so they dont waste time and energy developing reproductive organs, allows them to build better use proteins in the food. I don't necessarily know of the specifics of Pangasius culture but after agricultural college, I spent 10+ years working in the UK aquaculture industry. Another concern is the high levels of heavy metals in the Mekong delta. There is so much negative press on Pangasius, I am sure you can do your own research. Like I say, I wouldn't say im a fan of them, but I certainly don't rule out eating them once or twice a year. It can't be much worse than eating the products of shrimp farming in Thailand.

Now that’s scraping the bottom of the barrel. there is a series called “crossroads classics” at 21GB and some year packs from 1977-1981 which are about 30-40GB each out there, if you use other methods. -

Curfews considered in harsher measures to control forest and farm fires
recom273 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Apologies if I misread, I think you present some valid points. So what is your position on this? It seems by justifying the position of farmers that you are supporting their actions. ETS: OK, fair play, you have made your stance clear. I agree with you very much, and I dont see a simple answer to the problem, which may be your position too. -
@transam I used to ride my bike up from the Deep South every year, one year I hit bad weather/ spent an extra day with mechanical issues and ended up at the consulate on Friday morning - If you think Tue/Wed will be the best, try a Friday, I was the only westerner in the queue, this is when Laos nationals apply - I dropped off my passport and returned a week later to pick up the visa.

Curfews considered in harsher measures to control forest and farm fires

And this is what EU farmers said 30-40 years ago .. but they adjusted. they coped. You are not wrong in what you say, the soil benefits from burning, when you plough back in the stubble, there is less nitrogen depletion as the straw breaks down - if you plough back the straw then you would need to increase the chemicals used. This is a weak argument, what you are saying is, burning should continue because its neighbors also burn and that the plough discs wear out. IMO its not a simple matter of just penalizing or restricting burning - compensation needs to be awarded to those who comply, supermarkets and consumer habits need to change, education and understanding - How much money is lost every year due to burning? that's loss of tourist income, long term damage to the countries tourist image, and damage to health and environment. What is returned? very little financial gain. -
Curfews considered in harsher measures to control forest and farm fires

Well, something NEEDS to be done. I'm not suggesting that people need to be penalized, but the world cannot accept that just because some of the farmers have little money that they can cause such a catastrophic impact, on the planet along with the quality of life and health of so many. This may not even be a Thai issue, if supermarkets and their chain were to be made aware / put pressure on suppliers / pay more, then this yearly mess maybe wouldn't occur. Why is it that field burners are a minority in my area? Every morning and night the village headmen are asking people over the PA systems not to burn fields, and on the most part, it's working - it's only a few selfish individuals that persist. Is ignorance linked to poverty? -

Yellow Jackets is back for another season - enjoying Last King Of The Cross and Liason. Top Chef S12 has gone worldwide and is quite interesting being filmed in London. -

Currently watching Our Boys, an Israeli HBO drama about events following a kidnap and murder - currently on e04, interesting, a change from the norm. There is a trailer for succession - which has prompted me to start on the first season. -
There are a couple of reasons why you should buy reolink - they aren’t a Chinese company, compared to Hikvision, Dahua and all the other rebranded cameras reolink are a lot better quality. There is a guy called The Hook Up on YouTube, I'm sure you have already researched him, he compares the different camera manufacturers. Buying a half decent reolink camera will give you so much more detail, but that all depends upon how much performance you want from your cameras. Reolink seem to be compatible with other NVRs, and software like blue iris, where sometimes other companies fail. There is software like neolink, which will allow easy integration to home assistant and homebridge. Again, depends how far you want to go down the rabbit hole. I have used their cameras for a few years, recently I chose the mid priced reolink cameras - I bought them from Reolink aliexpress - official store, they arrived via China post / Thai post and didn’t incur any extra charges.

A Thai DL is not dependent upon your visa, TV holders can apply for a DL. The difficulty arises because they need a certificate of residence, not all immigration offices will issue a CertRes, for example Khon Kaen Immigration will issue a certificate to anyone, if you hold a Non-O / B then they are free, but if you hold a TV they charge 500B. This is accepted at the DLT and they will either allow you to take a test or transfer your IDP - but you will only be ever issued a 2 year temp license on a TV. I have no wish to split hairs with you, because on the whole, it does seem difficult for TV holders to apply for a Thai DL, just trying to help others who may read this.

I have some big socks, I needed them for my motocross / adv boots - I bought skiing socks from aliexpress. Is this what you mean?

You don’t mention if you have bike endorsements on your UK license - not the provisional, the A1 & A2 (afaik). if you haven’t, you just do a test (practical, health and theory) and watch a video. A local driving school near me was doing a day course for 1000B - seems a lot better than going through all waiting around at the LTA.

I started watching Line in the sand last night, I think it’s a few years old now, but really easy to binge on. Thanks to whoever discovered it. -
I like Pangasius fried in batter. I know it's loaded with heavy metals and whatever, but when served with plenty of home made tatar sauce, once in a while (I guess we buy two bags of fillets a year, if that) What about the salmon in Makro? is that line caught from sustainable managed fisheries? Suprise surprise ..
