Comedy? Are you sure? -
I did this a few months ago. Moved 400k one day from BKK bank to k-bank. The next day I moved the other 400k. I showed immigration my bank books and they said it was ok and just to bring both bank books and the copies of the new one only. K-bank has a 2 year fixed deposit(if that's what they call it here) around 2%. It renews automatically after 2 years at the current rate at that time. Beware, they will try to push the 1.?% package that renews at 0%. F'ing banks... It took a while to get them to show me the 2 year deposit.

If you liked Orphan Black(2013, IMDb 8.3), https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2234222 they have released a sequel, Orphan Black: Echoes. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10016724/ Season 1 of the sequel dropped a few days ago. Appears to be of similar quality to the original. -
10w-40 here? Better 20w-50. Not worried about it starting in the cold weather are you?

Recently sold my 1989 Toyota pickup which I purchased new in 1988. 350k km and still going strong. Never did one dealer routine service. Changed the oil myself, about every 10k km with regular non-synthetic oil. Did the scheduled services like timing belt, etc as per owner's manual. Forget the synthetic. The choice of the vehicle is much more important.

Republican George Santos expelled from Congress in bipartisan vote

Nope, I got it right. A piece of string or a chunk of rock would be better than Trump. -
Onward Ticket Question
gargamon replied to leosmith's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
As i noted, not all flights on Expedia can be cancelled for free. The major non-discount airlines will. The cheap ones like air asia won't. Try booking a flight on each and see the difference. It will tell you on the last page before you confirm your purchase. -
Onward Ticket Question
gargamon replied to leosmith's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If they ask, just log into expedia and buy a fully refundable if cancelled within 24 hour ticket to show them. Then when you've cleared security and are at the gate, cancel the ticket. Easy, free. What more could you ask for. Note: this doesn't work with the cheap-o airlines, only the major ones. Expedia will tell you before you input your credit card info if it's a refundable ticket. -

Come now, the whole country is a mental hospital... What Thailand needs is hospitals for the sane, if they can find any. -
Republican George Santos expelled from Congress in bipartisan vote
gargamon replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Can he still get onto the presidential race? Santos would be a much better candidate than Trump. -
Probably not. There are likely features you won't use anyway like memories for multiple people, etc. Compare features to be sure you're not missing something you want.

King Power not happy with talk of abolishing duty-free on arrival
gargamon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Founder's Reserve, which you posted a pic of, is 2100 baht at BKK King power. The one I purchased in Taiwan for $32 USD is Distiller's Reserve. All 1 liter bottles. -
King Power not happy with talk of abolishing duty-free on arrival
gargamon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Get rid of King power. On a recent trip from Canada I purchased a bottle of Glenlivet at duty free in Taiwan for $32. The exact same bottle, same size, in BKK from king power was over 3000 baht(>$100). That's about the same price as the normal liquor stores.- 59 replies

Absorbed liquid and butane lighters are limited to one lighter per passenger in carry-on or on one's person. When a carry-on bag is checked at the gate or at planeside, any lighter in the carry-on must be removed from the bag and kept with the passenger in the aircraft cabin. https://www.faa.gov/hazmat/packsafe/lighters#:~:text=Absorbed liquid and butane lighters, passenger in the aircraft cabin.

The point of measuring equipment is consistency. It doesn't matter if it's off by 30% as long as it's always off by 30% in the same direction. Then you need to calibrate yours with one you trust to find out how much, if any, that you need to adjust. I have a $100 omron and an $18 cigii that I purchased years ago. The numbers are pretty much identical, and the cigii has atrial fibrillation detection which the omron doesn't. Save your money and get a top rated chinese model, cigii or yuwell should suffice.
