I can't believe anyone is dumb enough to put Putin and truth in the same sentence. Next you'll be saying Trump doesn't lie. MAGA, nothing but a bunch of rubes.

I really should have spit it out instead of hoping for some flavor before it ended.

What criteria did he use to judge you are a good candidate for the procedure? I had a pacemaker installed already. He had the tech from the pacemaker company come in during the initial appointment. That in itself is incredible as the surgeon didn't even know I had a pacemaker until the initial meeting. From the pacemaker stats it was determined i was in afib for extended periods, as in 3+ days. Assume your insurance did not cover? Fully insured in one of the mickey mouse Canadian provincial health care systems that takes months to see a regular cardiologist unless you've had a heart attack. Seeing an electro-cardiologist would be a multi year wait. Also fully covered with Medicare in the US. It would have taken the GP referral to a cardiologist then a referral to an electro-cardiologist that would likely be nowhere nearly as talented as the surgeon here. So I'll self insure for this one. What medicines and regimen did doc give you post-op? What tests or other follow-up in months ahead to determine if it was a success? Cardarone in a diminishing schedule over 5 weeks. I'm back to his office in a couple of weeks and again late March. Conveniently the pacemaker keeps statistics that will easily determine how well the surgery went. I'll also be picking up a Kardia mobile unit which allows basic EKGs to be sent to the surgeon's office for inspection to see if further analysis is required. So as far as I can tell, the afib is done, to be verified in a couple of weeks. And if confirmed, there's no need for a pacemaker anymore as the heart rhythm is normal. So the pacemaker is now essentially just an inbuilt defibrillator to prevent death in some circumstances. Also. If confirmed, there will be no more need for blood thinners... It would have been a deal at twice the price IMO.

I store stuff regularly with the lady at the back of the jomtien entertainment complex. She has a bike rental/storage place and has been there forever. My stuff was there for years during covid with no problems, and I just paid the outstanding fees when I returned. I'm sure she can work out something for you.

Watched John Wick 4 last night. Waste of time. Boring fight scenes that I had to fast forward through. And other than the ridiculous fighting there was little to no plot. What's to like?

Thanks for the reference to this Dr. I had the procedure done Thursday. Checked out of Bumrungrad Friday. Got an appointment to see him on a Wednesday, after discussing the situation we decided I was a good candidate for his procedure and could have done the surgery the next day. It took a few days to accumulate the required funds and get them to Thailand so we moved the operation to the following week. Bumrungrad insists on full payment pre-surgery. Atrial fibrillation now gone as far as I can tell. I'll be back in the gym Tuesday or Wednesday. All in, a bit over 1.3 million baht. Best money I've spent in a long time.

Most of my assets are in investments. In north America, my attorney advised me to forgo the will & testament and just set up the beneficiary on the investment accounts. Apparently this overrides any will and would not be accessible to any unscrupulous siblings, ex-wives, etc. Not sure what the rules are here for this sort of thing.

And of course don't forget Saving Private Ryan. Same director if I recall. Wonderful.

The kodi addons do exactly what the google solution is. That's why I use an Android TV box. Much smarter than any smart tv, and portable if you change TVs.
-
Pretty much all the current videos are mkv's. Older ones are predominantly mp4's. I use kodi to get subtitles and play the video. The two addons that download the subtitles are addic7ed (tv only) and a4ksubtitled(tv and movies). I download videos to my NAS and this works good in that scenario. If you're streaming, I don't know. There should be something in the streaming service that will download them for you. I even wrote a script to delete the embedded subtitles so I could download the one i wanted.

Two new posters with exactly the same view. Hmmm. Smells fishy to me. I used to believe this until I went on the quest described earlier looking for something to help me sleep. There are definitely different characteristics in SOME of the strains that keep you awake and others that don't. There are other traits that also seem to follow like clarity of thought, etc. Granted, most are blends with little differentiations. My testing using one pipe full only, with no associated drinking, and no second or third pipe allowed me to see the whole high cycle. And since I was doing a different strain every day, it was easy to discern the differences. Also, subsequent use of the strains exhibited the same characteristics as the first time. Get some of the blue mystic and another with low keep awake in my spreadsheet above and tell me they're the same. You won't be able to. Oh, and BTW, this is how you do research. Not reading or watching some nonsense on TikTok, X, Facebook or some vendors site that is telling you whatever they think they need to to part you and your money.
-
I didn't think I would need to clarify that, but, the column keepawake tells how much it kept me awake. A 10 would keep me awake(sativa) and a 0 would help sleep(indica). The indica/sativa numbers from the vendor are totally inaccurate, not just this vendor, all of them. No idea where they get them from, maybe the seeds come with numbers they use. As for strength, none of these are brick. The weakest maybe 10%. The blue mystic is at least 20%, but 100% sativa IMO.

I'm pretty sure they didn't switch it up and send something different. I tried to order 50gms of the lemon berry and they said out of stock. If they were going to send something different they would have. Since I filled the first few in the spreadsheet from memory I likely mixed up the two with black in the name.

Yes, I concur. The problem here is that the posted indica/sativa and THC content numbers are nonsense. A while back I was buying a gram of everything from ca08 and evaluating each at 1 pipe per day before bed. When I found a suitable one, I was going to buy a bunch and make kief out of it. Anyway, I had some stuff going on that required a bit of higher level thinking so I stopped smoking. No need to waste my study, so I'll provide what I have gathered here. It's quite nice having a clear head again so I'm not sure when/if I'll start smoking again. These evaluations are highly subjective. YMMV, so don't complain about my opinions.

I don't know what they're called but they are wonderful deep fried.

Of course the x250 is easy to repair as that is a major requirement of being military spec, to be field repairable. But this thread is about some consumer grade Asus laptop I'm sure is not quite so easy.
