    Yes, the right answer. Don't forget there's no yearly fee to use cardless unlike ATMs where it's a few hundred baht a year. Also no out of area fee.

    Buy from an official seller. I purchased a seagate 5tb portable drive for my portable NAS last year and subsequently dropped it making it worthless. North America seagate replaced it on warranty with no issues with it being purchased in Thailand. I'm sure if I had purchased it online at a discounted price. You can check the serial number of your drive on seagate.com to see what the actual warranty for that drive is.

    Thanks. Quite clear explanation. I don't need to bring as much as I keep the 800k for the visa deposited continually. As such the extra documentation you get aren't needed in my case. I just move a few thousand dollars occasionally and wise or a counter withdrawal are sufficient for my needs.

    Can you quantify that with some examples please? My experience is just the opposite. Maybe because it's Mastercard or wise that does my conversion, not the bank.

    Try linux via a live USB stick to see if it is any faster. If so, since you don't do anything complex, install it and your problem is solved.

    I prefer the amount I paid. 0 baht. Great compared the ripoff 160 baht blurayshop. Haven't watched season 2 yet but season 1 was quite enjoyable.

    That's a really old box. I replaced my km-3 boxes last year with tox-3 after the mecool box died. The tox-3 comes rooted, 4gb ram, 32 or 64 gb rom. Not sure about Netflix certification as I download everything I watch. With all the streaming providers out there the only answer is to not subscribe to any.

    It's a DS211J. Does all you need and can handle a single disk failure if it's set up properly. I wanted transparent encryption so I set up my own with truecrypt, snapraid and mergerfs which had been working great for a couple if years so no need for this NAS anymore.

    As I've put together my own NAS for a number of reasons, my dual hard drive Synology NAS is sitting here doing nothing. If someone wants it I could set it up for them if they provide the drives. I'd even populate it with videos if wanted. I'm in Pattaya so if someone local wants it it would be easy. 3000 baht. PM if interested.

    That was my point. All in one desktops are great except if there's flaky power where a laptop is a much better solution. Funny, my laptop will run at least a day without external power.

    You need a new dtac 1 year sim. Got one in the last month, about 2100bt/yr for unlimited 30mbps. Like you, my old one expired and there is no way I found to extend it (for a reasonable cost) for another year. And since it's in a router, you shouldn't care about what the phone number is.
