  1. Unfortunately, the sellers of the product tell the tourists that cannabis is totally legal. No one advises them otherwise. How about some big signs at entry at the airports and ports like they had years ago stating the fact that it is the death penalty for bringing in drugs and so on.
  2. That is ok if you want to look like a convict or a dog. (Yes, I have a friend who cuts his own hair with his dog's clippers. It shows.) I prefer something a bit better and a professional is my preferred choice. Nothing lazy about that. We are not all cheap Charlie's.
  3. They have been raising this issue for years. Lots of villas here have had to pay for 'hotel and pool' licences every year. A nice little earner for the lawyers and accountants. Now the word 'hotel' is crossed out on the document and replaced with 'villa'.
  4. 'But vaping is safe' people keep telling us.
  5. No human rights for these poor souls eh Thailand? Resign from the UNHRC - it is no place for members with double standards.
  6. There is no way that I would consider buying an electric vehicle. Electricity is just under 10 baht per unit on the development where I live.
  7. Nice photo. Shame that it has nothing to do with the story. Or is it from that cave complex? (Difficult when it is 'for reference' only.) Anyone know where the photo was taken?
  8. Whilst that price is probably a limited opening offer, there should be quite a few takers.
  9. Then do not come to Samui. Local salon in the shopping mall charges 800 baht for a haircut - includes washing and blow dry. I said that I only wanted the haircut - not the rest. Still 800 baht she said. As you say, others charge from 100 to 500 baht. You get what you pay for. Most do not know how to 'cut' men's hair unless it is with the clippers. They can be useless with the scissors. A friend uses the 100 baht haircut and it is obvious. Even he said that the cut is rubbish but now that he is retired, he does not care.
  10. I am not sure if they have any claim that long after purchase. Someone could have swapped the real one for the fake.
  11. Staying in many luxury hotels, like The Four Seasons on Samui, does very little for the local populace. The guest is picked up in a hotel vehicle (sorry taxis, nothing for you) and then often, the guests do not leave the hotel for their stay. If they should venture out on foot, there is often nothing in the vicinity. Luxury hotels often pick remote locations for that very reason. Local businesses, if there are any, get nothing.
  12. Overstay is not possible as he does not have a visa.
  13. Being drunk is another possibility. Some fruits ferment in the elephant's stomach. We were charged by a drunk elephant once when on a safari. Luckily our jeep was faster than the elephant. I even managed to get a photo of my B-I-L with fear on his face and the elephant closing in behind him.
  14. He's a game old lad but at his age, he should have learned to forgive and forget. Not sure how they will punish him as I believe that he is too old to go to gaol.
  15. It is a sad country when I look a the headline and think to myself - 'Asians'. That is before I even click on the story.
  16. There is still one Thai being held - location and health unknown and there are two bodies that need to be repatriated to Thailand.
  17. Hamas knew exactly what they were doing. All part of the belittling of Israelis and showing their Palestinian supporters how clever and powerful the leadership is.
  18. Surely the name was a bit of a giveaway
  19. Really? Rangsiman, chairing the House Committee on National Security, revealed that since the licensing for the system expired, the Bureau has only been capturing facial images and fingerprints, not true biometric data. He warns it could take up to 29 months to reinstate a functioning system, with procurement yet to commence.
  20. And now we know why the wolves are after Big Joke. He was right back then and probably right now. His problem is that if he spills all of the beans, it will not be an empty car that gets shot up next time.
  21. When I saw the headline I thought that it was going to be about this horrible stuff
  22. Is it just me thinking this, or are there more and more vehicles 'bursting into flames' these days?
