When the hotels paint a crossing on the road, there are signs as well as a guard with a lit up baton to wave folk down. To be fair, I do see more people now stopping for crossings these days, probably due to all of the bad publicity in the press.

But it does ask for DOB. You can skip that but you have to enter your age. Thailand is moving towards woke. It asks for your sex and then the last question is asking for the sex that you prefer to be recognised as. For ladyboys perhaps?
