At least the dog is OK. I have three dogs living next door to me, and sometimes at night, they bark. A lot. And it can be annoying. When I check the CCTV, it is usually because someone (or another dog) is walking around the area. I am happy for the dogs to bark. Now and again (very rare), someone in the area has money stolen from their house. No one in the street where I live has had anything stolen. Bark away doggies and thank you for protecting the neighbourhood..

Russia is using weapons, from third party countries, to kill civilians in Ukraine. Ukraine should be allowed to do the same. To all of the frightened folk who say NO - it is not an escalation, it is a response in kind.

Here on Samui they do go round checking - especially in the area where I live (lots of rental properties). Folk that I know have been taken to the immigration office because they had no TM 30. Luckily we were ably to help their landlord to register and process one PDQ. They were in the system by the time they were called to the desk (there was a long queue in front of them).

If your wife does all of the online banking, just give her your password details and your phone. She can then transfer all of the money from your account to hers. This is what I did when my wife died. I used to do all of the online banking and so I had access to her bank account. All of our 'joint' money was there (she earned more than I did). My account was for running the business. When my wife died, I just transferred everything to my account. No one automatically tells the bank when an account holder dies. Stupid is someone who writes comments like the above. No one believed that the water was free, the water authority just stopped sending the usual monthly bills without an explanation. The lady had to contact the water authority to find out what was going on - after the event.

This was a common scam back in the day here on Samui. Rent a car or bike, straight on the ferry and up to Bangkok never to be seen again. Easy to stop though. Now, all rental bikes and cars have stickers. If you take a rental on the ferry, you need a letter from the owner.

From what I read, I would guess that she is not enjoying living in the UK. Most Thai ladies that I know do not want to live in big houses, unless there are staff there to look after them. Big houses need more cleaning.
