  1. Well done. There is a box of medals in the bottom left hand draw of my desk, come and help yourself.
  2. One cannot see around buses or heavy goods trucks, so what is the problem?
  3. "When God is in everything ( for those with eyes to see ) God is not hiding- is in plain view." If he is hiding in plain view, I have yet to see that. Also, I dont think much to his sense of humour. Which can only be described as, a sick mind. If the Big Bang came from nothing, it cannot have been made by god? Nothing comes from nothing!
  4. So, where was this god hiding prior to the supposed big bang? Nothing can come come from nothing, that is a fact. Or can it?
  5. Just as a personal opinion. I find so many supposed religious people to be more than hypocritical, one of which in a church when I was 14, totally destroyed any form of faith I may have had at that time. My life has seen many forms of contradiction in the 69 years since, and I cannot possibly believe there is a god of any kind, who would let the world travel on the course it has taken over the past 5 to 10 thousand years. That may or may not be a narrow perspective, but I have seen nothing that would persuade me to change my view.
  6. You are correct, Katatonica. I knew I had seen it somewhere, but couldnt remember where.
  7. He has obviously been taking lessons from the Numbskull of a PM in the UK, he changes his mind like the clock changes time.
  8. Religion! It came about when the first conman met the first fool!
  9. Sorry for not answering earlier. Not 100% on this, but I believe his clinic is close to Soi 15 Sri Chan Road. It is also a dental clinic which his wife runs, and as far as I know, the only one along that stretch of road. Green and white painted front, or it was last time I saw it.
  10. Possibly spoilt by all the tourists, but I do remember it from many, many years ago.
  11. I used the term Bank Teller very loosely. I dont really remember the details so well as it was many years ago, possibly before you were around? And I might add, I clearly stated it was NOT for immigration, or did you miss that bit? If as you think, bank statements will become part of requirements, I will cross that bridge when I get to it, and not before.
  12. Well if that is so, it was a funny Cobra I saw the other day. Most definitely a poisonous snake if ever there was one. I let it go on its way, which happened to be into next doors garden. I did say to the guy about it, but he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I not seen."
  13. After more years than I can count, I have never been asked for bank statements. I did ask at the bank some years ago for a statement, but the bank teller insisted, statements were not necessary. I then had to explain the 12 month statement was for my benefit, not immigration.
  14. A return to the family run business, then?
  15. I do not have a tax liability, is that OK with you? No doubt you find it difficult getting on and off your horse!
  16. All very straight forward but, where does a newbie stand, bringing 400 or 800K for a retirement Visa? If it is in any way taxable, then it is totally unfair!
  17. You could try Dr Ken, he has a surgery opposite the General hospital, I believe he practised in a major NHS hospital in London, before returning to Thailand. His English is excellent.
  18. Why does Thai politics have to be so dirty and underhanded? Corruption from the very top, to the lowest of the low. A third world country, of deceit, cowardice and avarice.
  19. When I last visited the UK, I had the IDP just in case. However, it was not required as the Thai driving license has your details in English.
  20. Maybe so, but the end of the row is not yet in sight.
  21. You mean eighty two and a half? I am in-between those numbers, so on the downward side. However, I will hang on in there for a while yet, and hopefully pass the 85 in good health and still a long road to go.
  22. Never take life too seriously. No one gets out alive anyway.
  23. It is this kind of nonsensical stupidity which made me give up driving in Thailand. A number of very near misses, a clown of a baht bus driver backing into a brand new car, I decided enough was enough. I have not driven a car or a motorbike for 8 years now, and never intend to again.
