Analysis!!!! to tackle national poverty??? Take a look in any village and poverty is staring at you from almost every door. Make a start with a decent education where a child is encouraged to ask questions. Every Thai teacher in the land would have 40 fits if they had to teach, instead of forcing their will.

Like so many other laws in LOS, they are soon forgotten.

In my country the law is termed an ASS on many occasions. Here it seems, the law is a permanent ASS.

Every time I return home from a trip she fills in the form pops into immigration and its done so what is the massive problem...unless of course people have something to hide?????
I suppose yours is the mantra, 'Nothing to hide, nothing to fear'. I guess you don't object to being controlled? Where is your collar and lead?

I've said before and will say again. It has nothing to do with national security and everything to do with control.

Don't bring cash. Get yourself a Revolut card and load it up from your UK bank. The exchange rate is at the point of sale. The only downside are the ATM charges. However, Aeon bank only charge 150฿ per withdrawal up to 20,000฿. www.revolut.com

I am back in England right now and the difference on the roads is amazing. People drive sensibly, show courtesy towards other road users, and give way to each other, with an acknowledgement of each others actions mutually acknowledged. Thailand however is just a frenzied chaos, with no manners, no respect for other road users, selfish behaviour to carve up other vehicles to save three seconds, and no enforcement of law.
Trying to see Thailand bridge the gap between the right way to drive safely, with the stupidity, recklessness and rudeness we have currently, is a very tall order. Put simply, they haven't got the first clue, and the carnage is going to continue for a very long time to come.
I agree 100% with this post. I was in the UK last year at this time, I hadn't driven a vehicle of any kind in almost 4 years. I hired a car at Heathrow and felt totally at home on the roads for the drive to Gloucestershire, not all motorway. I spent 2 weeks driving around various places and it was almost a joy to be able to anticipate the intentions of other road users. and feel really in control. Returning to Thailand and its like being on the dodgems at the fun fair, but it ain't no fun.

How do you prove the purchase of lottery tickets, when no receipt is issued at point of sale?

Did you at some point accidentaly press the timer button to an off time, locking the system out.
I didnt think using other remotes would make a difference, they are programmed to each unit
We have five LG units all bought at the same time. If one goes down for some reason, another remote is used to check. They are all interchangeable.

If its air-bag suspension as a lot of big buses are now link bars are required to control longitudinal and lateral movement of the axle while still allowing it to travel up and down .. If the fore and aft link bars break or become detatched there is nothing to control forward and rearward movement of the axle resulting in the wheel base being shortened on one side or in the case of the lateral bar breaking serious misalignment of the rear wheels in relation to the front axle which then sends them crab like when going down the road ..
Now having spelt it out, you've spoilt the fun.

Of course the Thai authorities have set up a system for foreigners to prove their permanent address to allow them to complete certain tasks and that is applying for a residence certificate each and every time they need to plus carry/produce your passport each time as well
OR
you can get a Yellow Book and Pink ID Card and use them instead in the same way as a Thai National does to get a Driving Licence, register a sim card, proof of address for extensions, open a bank account, registering for TM30's, register a vehicle, proof when sending EMS mail etc and proving address for various different official functions.
It's called CONVENIENCE.
It's also called control

Ive got a good idea, you can only buy ciggies at the same time as booze
Careful, careful. Next thing you know they'll be telling you where you can drink you're booze. And its not likely to be with your ciggie.

They've mixt it up with the traffic death numbers.
They have to keep the masses down somehow, but like the deaths on the roads its all meaningless. Just another law that will be ignored.

This has nothing to do with the accidents. It's almost always the drivers fault. Had they checked the brakes, tires, if the steering wheel was fastened properly, and not falling asleep, there wouldn't so much accidents. But these are Thai drivers and you can't expect too much. Maybe after 100 years or so, one can expect some kind of improvement.
Has it changed over the last hundred years? Very doubtful.

Yes, a visa renewal. They have to do it every month. Makes our 90 day like walk in the park.

Just as a matter of interest, Why do you have to wait for a password? Surely a password is of your own making, unique to you? Or it this another way of control?

It is illegal to have cold water supplied from a tank in the uk. The tank is for hot water.
Since when? 5 houses I lived in, in the UK had cold water feeds to bathrooms and other utilities, from a cold water storage tank in the loft. Obviously water to the kitchen was from the mains.
I also had hot water in a tank and the feed was from the cold water tank.

I used to use tissue to clean myself. Now, it’s the bum gun for cleaning, and tissue paper is to confirm that I did a good job cleaning. If I see any color on the tissue paper, it’s back to the gun for me. Repeat until tissue has nothing on it. Love my bum gun. The only thing better than a bum gun is a bidet.
So, a possible case of rinse and repeat then?
