  1. 67 Senators and not one can get a petition right or seek legal opinion prior to serving it? Wow this country is in good hands. And I loved the comment the Govt deems the rice scam scheme a success by marking it up... how? By pricing Thailand out of the market! Well done PTP. More of this please.

They can get a petition (I think). The court told the senators to submit the contracts (with the petition). I read in the other paper that the senate has asked copies from the Commerce Ministry to submit to the court. I think they are getting somewhere.

  2. I know you like to spill your frustrations but aren't you in the wrong thread with this information? Or are you just trying to keep the thread alive with of topic bs?

Sorry to dissapoint you, but it is the right thread to put it back on at the moment, because the Nation has not heard the news yet and thats why TVF dont put it in their news. So it's got nothing to do with frustrations and BS, it's fact.

Just have to wait for TVF to put it in their news.

Thai at Heart, we must have been on the same thought.

Interesting, I can't find anything in the topic that relates to your SMS story.

Boy your lucky I kept it for you.

Abhisit's first act as Prime Minister was to send SMS texts to tens of millions of Thai mobile phone users. The message, signed "Your PM," asked people to help him solve the country's crisis. Interested phone users were asked to send back their postal codes, at a cost of three baht. Abhisit was criticized for violating privacy regulations in the mass SMS. The National Telecommunication Commission says that mobile phone service providers may not exploit client information, including phone numbers, without their consent. However, it did not seek actions against Abhisit.

Still interesting because I can't find anything in the topic that relates to your story.

A gentle reminder: Jatuporn Sticks By His Allegations Against Abhisit (concerning his time in the army).

  3. Ahhh the Gov his Gov did not take any action against the newly elected PM when he misused their communications.

    I quote,from wikipedia.

  4. NAKHON PHANOM, Nov 8 -- Some 200 dogs were rescued ..........................

.................... finding dogs crammed into 40 cages, seven to 10 dogs per cage.

A lot must have been dead already.

Since the last big arrest, nobody comes to our village to swap buckets etc for dogs.

This has resulted in the growth of the canine population, larger and more aggressive packs. It's only a matter of time before somebody is seriously injured or killed by these animals. I have to carry a stick with me when I walk to certain areas.

It is not a very nice trade, but at least it helps to control the dog population. Without it, people need to take responsibility for their animals, especially the bitches.

I agree. Where I live, the dogs run wild and I always carry a stick to protect myself.

Even the Thais have had enough, as the other day someone killed most of the dogs that used to hang out locally.

If only the govenment would care to do something about all the street dogs.

There is a complete lack of respect for living beings in most Buddhist countries. Dognappers, wildlife traffickers but also drivers ferrying pigs from place A to B in incredible small cages should be packed in small crates or cages and driven the same way from the North of Thailand to the South of Thailand without giving them any food, water or rest. It's my pleasure to volunteer as a driver of these people.

Agree but the dog problem can be dealt with if only the politicians would care about it.

  5. Yoawapa was the one who caused the split in the first place by pissing off Newin when she got too big for her boots while her wimpish husband, Somchai, was PM. Having lost the whole lot three years ago, now is managing coax 7 of them back and needs to promise at least one cabinet seat to someone who has no skills that would be useful in running the country. Some victory!

Is Yoawapa Somchai's wife? I didn't know that.

    Now I understand.

  7. 1.Paradorn told reporters in the morning the plot had no grounds |but later in the day, he changed his words after he was summoned to a meeting with Deputy Premier Chalerm Yoobamrung at noon. |Also attending the lunch was Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt Gen Khamronwit Thoopkrajang.

After the lunch, Paradorn said the discovery of war weapons was |related to Thaksin's planned visit to Tachilek.

    2. While the NSC chief said the plot had grounds, Defence Minister ACM Sukampol Suwannathat said the reports were groundless.

"You must ask for more information from Panthongtae, as I have no idea," Sukampol replied when asked about the reports.

He said the discovery of war weapons was just a coincidence with Thaksin's planned visit.

    3. Chalerm, meanwhile, said he had instructed the commissioner of Provincial Police Bureau 5 to coordinate with the Myanmar authorities to seek more details.

Chalerm said he learned that the suspect had retracted his words so the Thai police were waiting for more information from their Myanmar counterparts.

Are there people on TV who believe there was a real plot? Come on guys speak up!

Oak lied resulted in numerous others lying.

  8. GUILTY

I just read in that other paper, that a panel set up to investigate the Democratic Leader Abhisit Vejjajiva. Into the allegation of falsifying documents to make him exempt from military conscription, have found him guilty and stripped him of his rank and he is to pay back the salary that was paid to him.

He Abhisit was given 2 weeks to supply information or make a statement to the committee to clear up the allegation, but he did neither.

I wonder what his backers on TVF think now. What a great outcome.

The leader of the Democrats GUILTY he is a liar a cheat and is corrupt. Not much different to what a lot said on here about Thaksin.

Now watch things heat up, not only on here but in Politics and the media.

A committee set up by PT found Abhisit guilty of something he did 20 (or so) years ago?

    That's it?

    Anything else Abhisit did wrong?

Did PT find more on Abhisit during the 15 month they are in office?

"Not much different to what a lot said on here about Thaksin" Correct, not much different from what Thaksin did (is doing).drunk.gif

No excuses, he got caught out and lied about it recently to all of his backers. He has now lost face as they say and as the leader of the opposition, thats a big loose face. The old story, every dog has his day.

His Democratic party should get rid of their leader immediately.

NO excuses. Answer my questions (if you dare).

  11. Congratulations , Well done , although one could say if the great lady was in Thailand she would not be a candidate in any election , unfortunately

I think you are correct. Her ethics and morals are probably way too high to be a part of this feeding frenzy political machine of Thailand. My congratulations to this brave and honorable lady.

Agree. Some people fight to get somewhere in life, others manipulate and steal. I have 10x more respect for Tammy than for Yinglucky.

  12. An interesting road to take, the twist's and turns need to looked at carefully, that road once taken could lead back to Thaksin and his involvement in matters that could attract the attention of the I.C.C.

Be careful what you wish for Surapong Towichukchaikul, your puppet master may well live to regret the consequences of your actions,as you may well too as your dividend payouts drop or disappear altogether.

I.C.C..justice is not a "Pick and Mix Sweet-shop'' and as selective as the Thai system of justice.

Agree. It shows how far PT has to go to satisfy the Reds. They are using the ICC as a political tool. PLEASE PT, just become a signatory and stop all the threats. PLEASE open this country for criminal investigation.

"The minister went on to say that the committee should examine the pros and cons of consenting to the ICC's jurisdiction on a one-off basis in order to ensure justice for victims of the bloodshed."

What a coward! one-off basis! That says it all.

  13. Wow she really has a handle on the problems doesn't she?... How does this benefit trade and the economy

    In addition, Thailand expressed its support of policies beneficial to both regions such as cooperation in disaster management;

    ...

enhancement of regional connectivity (in physical and human aspects); ... she can't even get 3G up and running.

and cooperation in solving problems resulting from such connectivity, for example, human trafficking, and transnational crime. ... repeat of the last sentence.

What about bringing up real issues like watching EU printing money to pay debt and Thailand no longer condones bailing out bad debts - throwing good money after bad. Bring up the issues that count. What about trying to do a deal on your rat-infested rice stores? What about offsets in import taxes to increase trade - cars out goods in etc? Oh well, I guess dear criminal brother did not enlighten you on what to say so as usual you just opened your mouth to change feet.

You're really on a roll. I have liked everything you have said for the last two weeks.

    +1

  14. Surely as there will be people vising a convicted bail jumping terrorist sponsoring renegade to discuss various matters related to the state and the current maladministration in the next few days while the convicted bail jumping sponsor of terrorism is in a neighbourng country, those visitors will of course be summoned to report to the police as well ?

Or are we about to witness a selective accusation process that denies the rights of one group to protest in a peaceful manner yet allows another group to openly consort with a known criminal and sponsor of terrorism ?

I like many others was under the impression that the P.T.P. slavishly followed the route of democracy, well that's what they say anyway

.Seems as if democracy is based upon the colour of the shirt one wears and also the financial rewards that are available for your (mis) deeds too.

A wonderful insight into Red Democracy is it not ?

    .

Is the bail jumping terrorist you refer to better known as the weasel aka Sondhi

If only you knew what you are talking about. You are trying very hard but you are missing some basic knowledge.

    Sondhi jumped bail?? When??

  15. The European leaders don't know that until the constitution has been re-written and until Thaksin is cleared of all its crimes Thailand has no REAL democracy?

Any constitution compiled under a military junta should be changed at the earliest possible time. Under the constitution they rewrote they absolved themselves of treason. Why is it that the dissenters keeping posting that the charter change is just about Thaksin getting off. I am sure there is other parts that are to be re writ that may cause worrying times for some people

Where have you been the last 14 months? The charter change IS for Thaksin. You don't follow what is going on here?

    And now backtoreality please!

  16. On the lighter side, British Foreign Secretary seems happy to be seated next to her and her facial gesticulations.

    .

Without a clue I might add.

The only reasons she is always travelling are:

    1. Nothing to do at home anyhow.

    2. Make deals for her brother and others in the Shin clan.

Yingluck seems puzzled in the pic. Yes Yingluck, William cannot be bought as easily as Hun Sen. I feel for you, he certainly is a tough cookie.

  17. You people are pretty amazing...........

A constant stream of pathetic, school boy comments.

Almost amusing to read but no thought to the consequences for Thailand should he be assassinated ( murdered ).

It would almost certainly tip the country towards more strife and division and other than the folks on here, who in their right mind wants that ???

As for the nutter who wishes to donate to a "hit fund", well, that's just another fruit cake.

Phil - The reason there are so many school yard comments is because this is a school yard story. This story is a twisting of the truth. An ethnic minority man was caught with a load of weapons including RPGs 100'000 rounds of ammunition and a large number of automatic and semi automatic weapons. Now that is not the arsenal to assassinate someone, that is a hefty weapons cache for the armed rebels in the Shan and Karen state.

Its fairly clear (and clever) that this seizure, coinciding with Taksin visit and the right spin make for good press coverage and portray Taksin as the innocent victim of a vile and evil plot to exterminate him. And we all know taksin favorite position - On the front page of as many newspapers as possible. Guess where he'll be tomorrow???

Perhaps the plan was to kill Thaksin by droping the 100.000 rounds on him?

I mean, even a cock-eyed Stormtrooper wouldn't need that amount to hit someone.

Good old crooked Chalerm came to the rescuse again with a scapegoat.
