  1. I've done exactly the same and as you say I wouldn't drink it. We have another system for drinking water. I have town water to 10" paper filter to tank then pump to 20" carbon filter. The paper filter can be cleaned regularly but the carbon filter needs replacing and costs about 2000 baht a time.
  2. I'm a bit old now so I would have to do it with a spoon 🤣
  3. You still need the money in a Thai bank account. Foreign bank deposits cannot be used for visa extensions.
  4. Did this happen recently? All banks have tightened up their process for opening accounts.
  5. You and your son are allowed to accompany your Thai wife to the Thai passport section on the right but not the electronic gates. I have done this many times over the last 15 years with my wife and as mentioned anybody over 70 can use the fast track for free.
  6. You can extend what at Chaeng Watthana 6 times? Certainly not a TR Visa
  7. The onward/return ticket is only a rule for visa-exempt entries and VoA so anybody with another type of visa is not breaching any rules. The requirement to show a return/onward ticket is shown on the check-in agents screen and these instructions are supplied to the airline by IATA. So you are at the mercy of the check-in agent and this has nothing to do with Etihad policy. If you buy a fake ticket it is actually a real ticket that is valid for 48 hours after which it is automatically cancelled so best to get one just before you fly. The last time I bought one it was $12 so cheap enough for peace of mind - I was not asked to show it. For every person who says they have never been asked there are just as many ppl with horror stories. The airline is responsible for returning you to your destination if you are denied entry so most are keen to follow the rules. BTW immigration never asks to see it but the airlines do not know this.
  8. Yes, so he could drive home drunk in the fog and made him very rich
  9. OK, I'm not going to judge you or tell you what you have done wrong as others have done on here but I will try and give you some practical advice. Your wife doesn't seem remotely maternal and as she had agreed to go back to Thailand and leave the kids with you then that would be best for the kids. I lived in the UK and was in the same situation a number of years ago so I hired a live-in nanny/au pair from an agency. It was very affordable but the first girl was a nightmare and I had to dismiss her but the second girl was a delight and my children are still in touch with her 24 years later. She was from Lithuania. PS Try and pick an unattractive one or you'll end up in the same situation 🤣 Once your wife has returned to Thailand you must seek legal advice to secure your situation as your wife will be getting lots of advice from Bar Girl lawyers back in Thailand and may return in an attempt to fleece you using the children as ammunition. Chok dee
  10. Any computer repair shop will have a guy. You don't need any special skill set as it's not a difficult or technical task but you do need the correct tools and it's not work buying them for a one-off job.
  11. It's not about alcohol consumption per se but it is about the authorities paying lip service to the national religion. They used to do the same thing in the UK in the last century and still do to a much lesser degree in this century.
  12. If a high-sugar and high-salt diet is the best in the world then who am I to argue with your doctor 🤣 PS Look for another doctor
  13. That 10,000 GBP is a typo. I've obtained 3 non-O visas in the last 18 months and never showed more than £1,500 in the bank
  14. You can also get this product in tablet form. You take a low dose for a month to get used to it and then continue on the higher dose. The disadvantages are you have to take one every day whereas the injection is only once a week. Mounjaro (Tirzeptatide) has been proven better than Ozempic (Semaglutide) for weight loss.
  15. Exercise is for keeping fit but your weight is controlled by your diet.
  16. I only had £1500 so 3k is more than enough. Return flight is not necessary. I did my e-visa non O in August so this is not old experience. I think the online application actually says £10,000 but I know that is a typo as I've had 3 non O visas in the last 18 months and never shown more than £1500. Good luck.
  17. This question pops up all the time for all countries. When I first did it I uploaded my passport but I've since found out that any official document that confirms your address in your home country will do. A driving licence, bank statement, inland revenue document etc
  18. Intensive care in a private hospital. My friend caught his finger in a gate so his Thai GF took him to a local private hospital as he has travel insurance. His finger was sorted and they wanted to keep him in over night - he declined and paid his 15,400 baht bill. They told him to return every day for the dressing to be changed at a cost of 1,500 baht but I took him to a local clinic who did it for 200 baht. So those prices do not surprise me if she's in a private clinic.
  19. ......don't forget the beer. Drinking for 5 hours he must've been legless ????
  20. The first advert after your post????
  21. That should read 'deriving untaxed income from abroad (and bringing onshore to Thailand)'. Income that has already been taxed under double taxation agreements is unchanged and if that is your only source of income in Thailand then your situation is unchanged too.
  22. If it was flu you would not be posting on here but you would be in bed thinking you were dying and then wishing you would die. That is flu. You have a cold or mild upper respiratory chest infection.
  23. I live in Nakhonsawan where the Naan and Ping rivers confluence to create the Chao Phraya and I've never seen it so low at this time of year - so release away!
  24. Nobody can answer this question as it all depends on how your local office interpret the rules. There is lots of advice on here about how their local office work but that doesn't help you unless the experience is from the same immigration office you use. Just call your local office and and ask them.
