  1. So can one now fly in visa exempt, extend it, then do two more out/in visa exempt land border entries and get a 165 day stay? 45+30+45+45 = 165 days. Or even extend both land border entries for 30 days to give you = 225 days or thereabouts?
  2. Really? Well those measures were more appropriate than the alcohol ban.
  3. What? While its moving?...555...Do you think they would trust you to keep it until the next stop? 555.
  4. Yes and the rapist was a railway staff member working on the train.
  5. ...And be decapitated or electrocuted by a hanging cable...555
  6. So were u the seats drinking or behind the curtain?
  7. I presume that consuming alcohol on trains is still banned (I used to enjoy a couple of beers followed by a meal in the restaurant car to shorten a long distance overnight trip). Does anyone know how strict this is if one discreetly consumes a couple of concealed cans as it could be in so many places during Covid19? If noticed would a blind eye be shown or would I risk being thrown off the train at the next station? Anyone have experience of this during train travel?
  8. Yes they are available in London now. No insurance requirement either.
  9. I used to prefer a window seat and loved looking down on our beautiful planet but, needing to pee so often now, an 'aisle seat' is essential for long haul...555.
  10. I personally have not applied for this visa and my friend who recently did had already purchased and uploaded insurance thinking he needed it. In assisting my friend, I did get it confirmed by 2 emails from the RT Embassy, London that insurance is not required for this visa. I have seen a youtube advisory video saying that generally this is what one needs to do for documents demanded by the evisa website which are non-applicable. So I would think that is what one needs to do.
  11. Thank you. You seem well informed. Can you pinpoint the relevant sections that I am referring to so they can be google translated? Or is there an English translation available?
  12. Thanks, yes that makes sense and sounds fair but that's not what was reported on here with English translation of the Thai wording. Can you provide links to the law?
  13. A few years ago it was reported on here that Thai law was passed stating that landlords renting more than 5 units/properties could not charge more than the standard domestic rate that everyone else paid in their homes. It also limited the deposit charged to one month's rent. I should have saved the link to the English translation of these laws posted at that time. Is anyone able please to provide a link to this legislation; English and/or Thai. Thanks.
  14. Yes they did along with not being able to take more than one month's rent as a deposit. It applied to any landlord renting more than 5 units/properties. At the time, when I told my landlord (who is a policeman) about this, at first his agent said it only applied to Thais and not farang lol, but next bill I calculated it and only paid 4bht not 8thb, and have done ever since. I wish I kept a copy of the legislation at the time, in case I need it again.
  15. Same as Putin switching with his PM for 4 yrs last time around but still pulling the strings before becoming president again.
  16. Print it if only to not hold up the queue at check-in. Annoys me waiting while people fiddle forever with their phones, often needing help from check-in staff, when it's so much quicker to just hand over the paperwork.
  17. Yes. A friend is flying to Thailand today with a 1 yr multiple entry non-O based on retirement obtained from London.
  18. At last Bill Gates has seen the light in that there are far too many humans on this planet already f****ing it up and has stopped promoting successful child birth and now sensibly promoting birth control.
