  1. When outside walking, riding bicycle, or motorbike I always have a K95 hanging and airing on a 'leash' around my neck and have never been challenged. I put it on as required entering crowded outside and inside spaces, or when close to others. When it gets grubby (after about 5 days) I soak it overnight in washing powder solution with a little bleach which will kill everything harmful. Wash, rinse and hang it in sunshine next day and its ready to wear again. I bought 10 originally at the start of the pandemic but still have 6 in wrappers. Ive worn 4 which I rotate. If people did this, or daily after every prolonged wearing of any mask, all this needless environmental waste could be avoided or minimised.
  2. I have not been able to open Gofundme.com for quite some time. I always get this message in Edge and Firefox: Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.gofundme.com because this web site requires a secure connection. What can you do about it? www.gofundme.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site. The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the web site’s administrator about the problem.
  3. Most would be old f a r ts like me; 60 up....555
  4. Bet he has a photo of Putin on the wall in his home...555.
  5. Ebay in the UK has become the same with sellers blatantly breaking the UK 'Trade Descriptions' laws and Ebay doing nothing to prevent this.
  6. Do you get chased by packs of soi dogs? 555
  7. I like soap but stopped using it as I realised that it is the fat content in soap quickly buids up a thick deposit on your shower tiles, grout, screens and doors. This is what attracts the mould growth and is a pain in the <deleted> to clean. You do not get this with shower gel; so it is much easier to keep your shower clean.
  8. That is a factor that I had not considered. Thank you for expanding my narrow mind!!!
  9. You need to accept that everyone has a different sense of humour, and some appear to have no sense of humour at all!
  10. I think u meant to respond to Superal not me.
  11. Reminds me of the legendary Scottish comedian 'Billy Connolly'. He once said that when he went clothes shopping he liked to tease the sales assistants by asking "Do u have this in Extra Medium?", "No", and then argue saying "But why not? U have Extra Large?" etc. etc.....555.
  12. I love to wander around the local night markets buying really good and cheap locally grown produce and the amazing variety of fresh cooked food.. I enjoy a bit of 'sanook'/banter with them with my very limited Thai. I know that between themselves they are sometimes having a joke at my expense but it is all in good humour. For me this is the real Thailand that I enjoy and value so much.
  13. Add in the Thai supermarket monopoly factor which, unlike in the West, removes competition and we stand no chance! The high pricing is clear when I shop in the few small independent Thai owned supermarkets where I stay, where most items are not just 1 or 2thb cheaper but 5/10/20 thb cheaper than in the large national chain supermarkets. With the power of bulk buying the opposite should be true as it is in the West.
  14. Actually the resolution did not "condemn" Russia's action. I believe that the wording of the resolution had to be weakened to "deplore" not "condemn" to gain more support.
  15. This must only apply to 'benefit claimants' as thousands of retired UK folk holiday or spend time abroad in 2nd homes for over a month without telling the DWP. A pension is not a benefit!
  16. It does not apply to me but maybe u could offer advice by PM to anyone else who is interested.
  17. Yes DWP. I was under the impression that 6 mths. UK residency was required to get the upgraded pension but I stand to be corrected. I would think that some proof of (dummy) address would be required; e.g., utility or council tax bill, but u may be right. Are you speaking from experience?
