you are absolutely right, tomorrow i will order a PanigaleIt's a pity so many riders choose bikes on cheapness, instead of the actual bike.
Good lad.
Kit it out with the Versys shocks and forks and you've got a good allrounder.
Now now...Ducati has their own Versy/Honda X type bike....

Did get a couple more rides in.
Impressions are that the pipe & filter change did give
quite a decent boost in perceived power. ( As no dyno done )
Mainly in the mid-range being most noticeable.
It seemed as if the transmission had been changed to a close ratio setup as it quickly
topped each gear much faster than before.
Nicer on some the hills here that have tight switchbacks & just more peppy
in the mid gears.
Top end improvements were there but harder to judge as I just did not have the open roads.
I will say 160kph came up much quicker or as soon as I clicked into 6th after
taking 5th to near redline.
All that aside yesterday I removed the pipe & sold it today on a Thai ninja site.
Sold quickly as it is a well regarded pipe & I knocked off a couple thousand baht
for the experiment.
I must be getting old because the noise was ultimately too much for me & bordered on obnoxious IMHO
I like to ride & the places I ride are beautiful mountain roads that are nice, fast & twisty.
The racket from this pipe just really took away more than it gave to my riding pleasure.
I am not kidding at one point I passed a Thai couple on a bike riding the Samoeng loop
who were holding a sleeping child between them.
The look on their face drove home what I already knew
On a track no problem. But this pipe was just too loud for me on these nice mountain roads.
aside from that couple I passed I am pretty sure the folks who live on those roads would not mind not hearing
this racket either
I have said before that this bike has a very nice exhaust tone with the stock exhaust.
Especially when using engine braking & the whir of the straight cut gears sings down mountain passes.
A very pleasing tone & not at all obnoxious.
Yes there was a performance gain but the price for what it was IMO was just too high for me.
YMMV

My regular plate just arrived a couple weeks ago & I bought my bike before Xmas.
-
Another problem is it seems only falangs buy
in a lump sum. New or used
Most locals want to finance & if doing
so find financing a new bike at a dealer easier

Look back at history.
We have had the internet for only like 50 years.
I guess that means that the internet is going to gone soon.
Electricity and condoms as well.
You should stop embarrassing yourselfIt's amazing how every single thing a gold bugs says can make absolutely no logical sense.
A person need not be a gold bug to be interested in historical facts pertaining to money, currencies etc.
-
The USD became a Fiat Currency after 1971 when Nixon cancelled the convertibility of dollars into gold. Why don't you go ahead & tell the class the average lifespan of any fiat or the
longest any single fiat currency ever survived?
The USD has made it through countless wars and survived. Why should this crisis be any different?
-
And yet no substance?Guess further if you like, History and fact in one sentence is already topic enough to keep you busy forever.
Why don't you go ahead & tell the class the average lifespan of any fiat or the
longest any single fiat currency ever survived?
You have reminded me why I stopped reading this forum
Thanks

How does that make gold money? Anything can be traded or bartered. So everything is money now?
No I think you have Money & Currency confused.
Gold has always been money
Fiat paper is a currency/coin of a realm creation that is used
as money
I'd say you got it even more confused. Gold was never money and also never will.
You are not one for historical facts I guess

Everything is the same except the increased stroke both are 62 bore but the Thai engine has 41.2 stroke & theAnyone know if the engine in the 2013 Ninja is the same as the Ninja 300 - except for the stroke?
I know the stroke is different according to manufacturer specs, but what about the rest of the engine? Or is the Thai 250 the same engine as pre 2013 models but with minor changes?
Having stroked out a CBR 150 engine in the past, i know it can be a very big difference in torque.
300 engine has a 49 stroke
The 300 engine also has a slipper clutch

Does remind one of Icesave BankWith the base lending rate at 2.75% and forecast to be lowered early next week to 2.50% or even 2.25%, is nobody nervous that several banks continue to offer deposit rates as high as 3.4%, I am, extremely so.

Man that looks like fun!
Enjoy!

It is hard to use single absolutes like top speed as.LL 1st sentence doesnt make sense to me?.Im also an owner of cbr250 ,yes the 500cc is double the cc with better torque but i reached 179km in stock form and im not paying 100k baht more to get to 190km from an cbr500
an end all yardstick of why folks buy different bikes at
different prices with different characteristics, power delivery, comfort etc.
I am not sure of LL's exact meaning but I would imagine it meant something along
the lines of somethings do cost more to build due to their composition & parts
Of course a twin costs more than a single cylinder to make.
If comparing price AND composition, characteristics etc. Then to be fair of course we would compare
twins with twins etc.
Not so different in other markets like cars, trucks etc. None compare a Vigo 2dr coupe with
a 4 door highlander. Although they both get you to your destination at similar speeds
-
Actually a win for you if you like the CBR better because you can save some baht.so the bikes are pretty similar, but the CBR is 2/3 of the price of the Kawa...so a resounding win for the Honda then ?
IMHO....
It is not really a contest between the two bikes as they are two very different bikes.
But in any case as I said a win for you if the cbr is what you want because you get to save some baht.
For others like myself the choice was clear & the cbr was never in the running.
For myself & others taste/preferences etc. in a bike/engine characteristics/visuals or what ever choice was based on
the N250 was the clear winner so we paid the asking price.
It is good to have more than one flavor/type etc. to choose from though I think we all agree on that

I do not consider myself to be a buyer/seller of vehicles & real estate yet...His assistant then came over and said......"if you do not buy and sell real estate or vehicles frequently you do not need one. It is not for foreigners on retirement visa".
In the little over one year I have been here I have needed 4 of these things.
I buy them at the US consulate for $50 USD a pop
So when folks complain about the Thai corrupt system I have to admit the Thai system has nothing on the US system.
The US system asks you to swear you live where you claim, never check any facts that you actually do & give you a paper
yet they want $50 or 1600 Baht for it

Wow that is a long ways on a smaller bike.I just got back from a BKK to CNX run on gasohol and hit 164 kph.
Did you do it in one ride or break it down
-
Sorry did not see this reply till nowYes sir stock gearing, but it was a cold day last week (10am), 95 benzine,
Cool...........You know I have never even tried 95 Benz since gasahol 95 has always run so well in
bike & scooters
Might try it just to see how it feels in comparison.

Yeah I saw that too & wondered what is going on.I watch on BBC 2 coverage and Cal in interview said that Herve came down with pen and contract to sign and Cal said he had his chance last week to do that, so still not clear what's happening.
You can read back on some news here...
http://www.motogp.com/en/news/riders/Cal+Crutchlow
I read some last week & from what I could tell it was all rumors
But yes seems some bad blood there now & that is never a good thing

Yeah sometimes fun to tinker around a bit.Cool man. Your bike is on its way.
Please inform us about you dig regarding ecus.
What is the estimated performance increase for ninja 250 after pipe, air filter and aftermarket ecu?
Power estimates I am not sure as it is harder to see dyno's for this model now that most
of the world is running the N300
I did see alias post a dyno of just his pipe & showing about 2.75hp gain for pipe alone.
He said no air filter was changed for the dyno just the pipe.
So not bad at 11% bump for just pipe.
After I am all sorted I may go see if Big Wing here is running their dyno yet just out of curiosity.
I would like to get a few more rides in as the first two were kind of surprising & I would like to see
how the top end has changed as well.
Was too busy today but hopefully tomorrow or later today,

Thanks &mania the pipe fits well to the bike nice angle, not too big not too small this is how a aftermarket pipe should look like. When i still had a cbr250 i wasnt able to find a good looking pipe at all.
Funny you mention that as it was a selling point for me on the Devil.
Many cans are just too big & not what I wanted.
-
Wow a dollar a doughnut eh?i am a kk guy http://www.krispykreme.co.th/index.php nothing like a quick ride for donuts and coffee
Them KK doughnuts are pricey
-
Thanks LLLooks great mania. I heard good things about devil pipes.
Now all you need is an aftermarket ecu to get the full performance from them.
Did you check if they sell pc 5 in Thailand for ninja 250?
On PC-V
I have seen some folks selling used so I know they exist
but it would be easy for me to buy in the US & have my son send it via post to me too.
Just reading a bit about the various ones available, PC, Bazazz & Area P/ Fuel Moto

Actually a good example against your statement of
"The USD has made it through countless wars and survived. Why should this crisis be any different?"
As during the Civil war they did not have enough real money which backed/empowered the dollar of the day to pay for their overspending
so temporarily suspended the convertibility of the dollar into the true money that backed it. Basically making the "good as gold" USD a fiat
at that time, albeit temporarily.
These were Fiat notes & not convertible on demand & were called "greenbacks"
But all of this again goes against the claim you made & the even sillier claim PCA made that gold
never was & would never be money.
Personally I do not know or care if gold ever became the measure of a dollar note ever again.
But to say it never was is silly.
I actually agree with part of your first statement...
"Anything can be traded or bartered. So everything is money now?"
It has pretty much always been so. In fact a good argument could be that labor was the first money.![:) smile.png](//forum.thaivisa.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
