  1. So I go out for a few hours, come back and expected this to be dead and buried.........but you're still going. Hilarious.
  2. Woo hoo, I got pedantic Lou'd! My day is complete.
  3. In other news the Pope is revealed to be Catholic and a bear is found defecating in the woods.
  4. Good idea, I ran it by a translation tool. Chat GPT 4-o, released to great fanfare yesterday. Just popped your entire post in and asked it what it thought: It is reasonable to infer that the author of the statement is suggesting that the solar panels involved in the fire at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre were Chinese. This inference is based on the structure and wording of the statement: The initial statement claims, "Chinese solar panels are catching on fire." This is followed by mentioning a specific incident, "Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre 'all the solar panels on the roof' caught fire." The use of these statements in succession implies a connection between the general assertion about Chinese solar panels and the specific incident at the Aquatic Centre. So much easier to just say you made a mistake, we all do from time to time. If your prejudices lead you to believe anything electrical that catches fire must be Chinese that's ok. Just stop digging. Anyway, I've enjoyed this, no need to continue further, you are really quite hilarious, and watching you get more and more flustered trying to unsay what you said - rather than just admitting a mistake - has been classic.
  5. Paragraphs were invented for a reason. As were full stops.
  6. No, you didn't. Safety First did and I proved him wrong by saying they were BP solar panels manufactured in Australia. When you then replied that BP closed its solar division in 2011 I assumed you were trying to support him that they couldn't be BP panels as they closed 13 years ago. Otherwise why else would you post that? If you weren't suggesting that then fair enough.
  7. So by saying "Chinese solar panels are catching on fire. Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre "all the solar panels on the roof" caught fire." you weren't implying those solar panels were Chinese?? Seriously, just admit you made a wrong assumption or a mistake, that's fine. But by trying to wriggle out of what you clearly said, well, you are just an obvious troll and no point in continuing a discussion. What you wrote is clear for anyone to see, or, erm, hear.
  8. Yes, they did. And? The aquatic centre in question was built for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and used BP Solar panels. They still aren't Chinese, they were still made in Australia.
  9. Er, what? You said: "Chinese solar panels are catching on fire. Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre "all the solar panels on the roof" caught fire." Do you have that short a memory?
  10. Three things: "The black pickup was sent soaring". ChatGPT needs more training. It fell, it didn't soar. Just more poor and painful writing. The black motorbike guy had a very lucky escape. I am glad the pickup was destroyed. By its wheels and "Liqui Moly" sticker you know this was one of those modified trucks driven by morons that is chipped to spew out black filth. "Rolling coal". Good riddance.
  11. "As the ball spins further into the future" WTF does that even mean? I couldn't read any further than that as it was clear it was going to be another painful Chat GPT "article". Can somebody make it stop now? Please?
  12. Yeah, this changed recently. Annoyingly mine defaults to credit card and I don't even have a Bangkok bank credit card, so I have to change it to direct debit manually on each transaction.
  13. As Khun LA has already posted, they are not Chinese. Can you tell us where you got your information from that they were Chinese? Or did you just make it up? Please tell as you just make yourself look stupid and possibly racist by making that up. The anti-Chinese propaganda gets swallowed by the gullible, it is really quite pathetic, and you are one of the worst swallowers. I will retract that comment when you show me the information you read that says they were Chinese. They were made by BP Solar (a subsidiary of BP - British Petroleum) by the way. Racist nonsense. I just want to know if you made that up yourself or did someone else make it up and you just swallowed it. Pathetic, truly pathetic. Edit: Oh, and before you say BP Solar probably have them made in China, they don't. They are made in Australia. Their other manufacturing sites are the US, India, and Spain. No Chinese factories.
  14. Interesting article, and definitely true with regards to the Japanese marques. But this is inherently false: "Aside from Tesla, only Mercedes and BMW have EV production forecasts that align with the IEA’s updated 1.5°C scenario which requires 66% of all new car sales to be EVs by 2030.". Volvo will be 50% fully electric by end of 2025 and 100% electric by 2030. I am sure there are others too - pretty sure Audi have a similar target.
  15. Pay by QR, it's much quicker than faffing around looking for the right money or waiting for the cashier to count your money, calculate change, then get the change, then count it twice, then hand it over and wait for you to put it away before they can serve me. Not to mention all the germs that money is coated in. Such nonsense posted in these threads. If you like cash, use cash. No one wants to convert you to cashless - we don't care - just do what you prefer. But don't make up stupid stories to try to make cashless sound slow or inconvenient, just use cash if you prefer it and save us the boring posts.
  16. Wow, that's all you have to come back with?? EOW is a troll but with humour and grace - he is fun to engage with. You on the other hand are just a cartoon.
  17. That looks pretty cool - nice interior too (for a truck). I think a PHEV makes sense for a truck at this point.
  18. Amazing - the people who have adopted cashless payments much prefer the convenience and speed - no waiting for change (which always needs to be counted twice), not carrying around annoying coins etc. The Luddites who say cash is king weirdly always seem to be stuck behind people who don't know how to use their phone properly - how unfortunate they are, I wonder why I never get stuck behind these people? It reminds me of the EV vs ICEV debate. The people who have moved to EVs absolutely love everything about them and would never go back to an ICEV as they are far superior in many ways. But the ICEV stalwarts who would never try an EV make up many reasons why they are worse - reasons that the EV owners can attest are not issues at all. Such parallels with the cash vs cashless debate..... Some people just hate change and for some reason get riled when other people move with the times and prefer the newer technology. If you love cash, use it. Don't make up scenarios about people getting stuck with their phones for "five minutes" in front of you - it's nonsense.
  19. Thank you. I was going to take a photo on my next visit. They are literally in every single petrol station - I can't imagine why Yellowtail is trying to say they don't exist - what's the point?
  20. I must have been imagining the sign I saw when I was filling up the other day then.
  21. Says following science like it's a bad thing. Better to follow the fairy tales?
