many established carmakers are not just one step behind tesla and china. catching up with them and convincing ev owners to switch to their new products in the coming years can be challenging ... what will be the car prices comparing to ev's from china ... furthermore, tesla and china will not remain stagnant in their product development. established carmakers face a big challenge ahead ...

ev cars will play a role in the near future, and they might even be the future, who can say for sure? ev cars are not perfect, but they have a huge potential, which may solve many issues in the next few years .. internal combustion engine cars are not perfect either, but we did not see any big improvement for a long time ... however, ev cars are (at the moment) not suitable for everyone ...

in just one day, the volvo ex30 received over 1,100 reservations (deposit 50,000 thb)! not bad at all !!
-
another recognized expert is providing valuable insights into their experience/knowledge! would you please share your negative experiences with the volvo brand? have you ever own or driven a volvo? i believe that people associate volvo as a safe, premium vehicle that has distinguished itself in recent years through its quality, reliability, innovative design, and so on.

Electric car fire: Week-old million baht vehicle ignites in Udon Thani mall
motdaeng replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
a house solar installation is typically sized in such a way that on sunny days, there is an excess of electricity generated that cannot be utilized by appliances or battery, etc. this surplus energy is usually wasted if it cannot be fed back into the grid. instead of wasting this this "excess electricity", it can be used for free to charge eg. an electric vehicle. solar installations, as described above, do have this "excess electricity", whether they owner have an ev car or not. referring to this "excess power" as a free byproduct of the solar installation is certainly accurate in this context, the owner does not need invest anything extra to get this "excess electricity"! -

please provide information regarding the cause of the fire. as far as I am aware, the cause of this incident is still under investigation. however, according to the news reports, it appears that the main battery may not have been the cause of the fire. at the moment, you have started with a rather weak case number 1 ... -

few months back, i was able to test drive the volvo cx40, and I really liked it. i was very curious about the ex30 but the car unfortunately has some aspects that i don't like so much. i'm aware that i have to accept some compromises ... what i like about the volvo ex30 is the design, quality, safety, performance, etc. however, the following points don't personally suit me: - no driving instrument display - no head-up display - glass roof without shading - performance car with mnc battery (lfp battery ony for the single motor) - small trunk, same frunk - no ventilated seats - no v2l (vehicle-to-load) nevertheless, the ex30 is still on my list, also the byd seal ... maybe a test drive can impress me enough to make a final decision ... i'm also not a fan of tesla, even though their software and fuel efficiency are excellent ...

most premium cars today are equipped with ventilated or air-conditioned seats, as well as heated features. eg: genesis gv70
-
do the seats in your car have ventilation? on a hot day, after just a short ride with my current car, i already have a damp back! in a country like thailand, having ventilated seats would be a nice thing. relying on blasting the aircon at a very low temperature, which leaves everyone feeling chilly and uncomfortable, is not a very good solution ... when you're purchasing a premium car (2 million baht or more), would you expect having also ventilated (front) seats?

EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
motdaeng replied to KhunLA's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
why do you want to buy a hybrid? do you regularly do long daily road trips (300+ km) without breaks? electric cars aren't suitable for everyone. electric cars have many pros and also some cons. everyone should inform themselves to get basic knowledge before buying an electric car. from how you describe your situation, a battery electric vehicle (BEV) seems to be a perfect fit. assuming you live in a house and can have a wall box installed, your house (out in the village) will be ready for to charge your own BEV in half a day! (no nearby charging station is needed.) member "edwinchester" is a great example using an electric car ... -
the house price can vary within a wide range, based on the interior, the quality of materials, etc. i would say that 70k per sqm should be sufficient for a high standard of building quality. however, i would not include the following in this price: furniture, kitchen, bathroom fixtures, air conditioning systems, media systems, architect fees and charges ... and, in 5 years, material prices and labor costs could also be 5 - 10% higher as today ... an estimate of costs from a contractor will provide more specific figures ...
