    me too... and for me, everything is a gift... and the family members have come to me asking for a loan or a gift - the loans are paid back and with a surprising urgency... Yes, there are decent families and decent family members..

    I go along with the above about a/c... the dust can build up... if you haven't had them cleaned regularly, that is a good place to start.

    As compared to where? Legit question also - every place has its issues - - I lived in Bkk many years ago and liked the ease of a taxi - even after the rail lines came in but the traffic made taxis virtually unusable... I loved the beaches but they became overrun... I lived in a small village which I kind of liked, I live outside of CM now and enjoying going in town, though parking is an issue again, lately.

    I have not been in the area for many years but am considering a move... what is the condo market like in Cha am preferably but HH or Khao Takiab as well... want something nice w/sea view and nice amenities... Thanks

    I feel the same way about buying a bag at the grocery store when they used to be free... and I do not support the concept of plastic either. I think many of us have little things like this that don't really make sense... I am not really an ice cream eater but I did get an amazing chocolate that was 180 baht at 7/11... don't remember the brand name.

    Really? Theft and violent attack are not punished? And this is widely known? How can a city survive? Who would continue to live there? What about property values which were sky high? All sincere questions as I have not been in SF since the late 60s and I just spoke to an old friend from NY now living in Fla who says the streets in NYC are not safe to walk....

    But, what is it like now? A sincere question as I really don't know. I have been stunned by the deterioration of places like Seattle and Vancouver that I have seen documented on YouTube - are the tales just limited to certain neighborhoods that have become homeless enclaves?

    I was sending money to my wife and at the end of the transaction, the teller asked me for 'permission' - I told her I never needed permission in the past and was sending money - nobody needs permission to send money... we finally figured it out - 'commission - not permission' as there was a fee to send the money.
