I am not renting... I bought a nice home in my wife's name 100% - no user agreements as many have.... I have bought lots of property for her over 20+ years... a gift, an early inheritance, whatever you might want to call it. I enjoy living here.

I had some engine repairs, cables to batteries that i think they shopped out for me... they replaced my entire a/c system for less than a little side road chop shop place... and I trust that they will stand behind their work. I don't really know what they do or don't do... I found it to be good work at fair prices.

The shop does not give the massage, the individual masseuse does. And it can depend on their connection to you.

I think it works similarly to USA... Duties are determined by a customs officer - they have a gigantic volume of proposed % of duty for each item or item class... it then becomes up to the discretion of the individual agent - one man sees a "guitar" another sees "musical instrument" - another might see a "Gibson guitar" or whatever. This is not the best example but the idea is similar... cookware, might be duty free - "restaurant equipment" might be 10% - used restaurant equipment might be 8%.... It was that way in USA and the little I have seen here, I think it might be the same. And as in the USA, you can't really fight it too much... The only possible way to get some clarity and maybe not much would be to contact a broker on this end and find out what to do and hire them to assist you... and there is probably no guarantee... I do know of one guy who shipped his old computer here and it ended up costing him the price of a new computer to get it in... I am sure this is no fun on your end......

You seem like a thoughtful guy - there are many beachfront across the street places to stay in Cha'am for a vacation. I have not been in years but used to enjoy Methavali which I believe has a refurbished newer wing, which would account for some of the mixed reviews I have seen... as the olld wing rates poorly - but nice pool, nice location. As for the rest of it, shop around - my opinion being the further south you go, the more beautiful but the less you feel like you are in Thailand... for worse, not better. I have enjoyed vacations there but not for living there.

I tend to say I am conversationally fluid - as I can converse easily - though on a higher level as you note, i too would be totally lost.
